Great night out with my son & 2 friends. We started out at David Burkes Kitchen for drinks & apps. Cant go wrong with ants on a log & a champagne cocktail. Any who, we had 8pm reservations at The Palm. We were seated immediately. My son ordered the bisque which neither of us was fond of. I ordered the scallops wrapped in bacon. Sheer perfection! We both ordered the bone in rib eye with half a lobster. Lobster was excellent. But the steak was burnt. Had a strong char that I couldnt get past. Our friends shared a 40 oz porterhouse which they said was great but couldve eaten one a piece(yes were greedy) along with the 3 cheese potatoes & goat cheese whipped potatoes. My son & I decided to order the clams casino also. They were good but not outstanding. For the price I expect a bit more. But the carrot cake redeemed all. We had a wedge for each of us. Very good, but I enjoyed Peter Lugers steak sooooo much better.

This Palm has all the traditional meats, lamb chops, hash browns, and veggies that put Palm restaurants all over as one of best and consistent steakhouses originated in America. Skip the Italian menu items. If you want great Italian nearby, go to Babbo. Palm needs to remove those dishes from their menu, or dramatically change these recipes, presentations and preparation methods. This locations wine list was way way overpriced, even vs. its direct competitors. Retail popular wines in the $11 to $18 range were $104 to $128 on their menu, which mark ups make me switch to liquor, which is priced at the same as all other upscale steakhouses throughout Manhattan. Good value on lamb chops, prime rib vs. quantity and quality for price.

Food was terrific! Went here for a business/family dinner. We had a pre-selected menu, 2 choices of Salad, 4 entrees, and 4 dessert options. I choose the filet mignon. Taste? Was absolutely mouth watering! I could have eaten 4 of them, unfortunately I could not. I should have known better being a filet mignon I was getting quality over quantity. The New York Strip looked more my size. However after eating the filet I was not regretting my decision. They also proved mash potatoes and a creamed spinach. Both were absolutely fantastic. The decor was nice, very cartoony. The bar was a nice size and had a couple drinks while waiting for our whole party to arrive. Look forward to going again.

I went with 7 other people during lunch period, but we didnt make a reservation, so we got seated in the only space that was available to accommodate our party which was around the sports bar area. I would recommend you be safe and just make a call before you go, just so that you might be able to dine a little more comfortable. Our server was very polite and got all our orders right even when people made substitutions and changes on their order, so that was very good. We had a couple bottles of wine with the meal and the final cost came out pretty expensive...but it was a very good meal.

Up there with Mortons and Peter Lugers and Smith and Wolensky for steaks, chops, lobsters, and prime rib. Better than Ruth Chris Skip the Italian dishes, as they are not a good effort. Lamb chops and Rib Eye are exceptional. Filet choices are not as good as Mortons. Unfortunately, wine list is absurdly overpriced, e.g., a $15 retail bottle of Domaine Carneros California sparling non-vintage is $104, and a non-vintage French St. Emillion at $16 retail is $115. Skip the wine and order drinks. That is more than like competitors, especially in their neighborhood.

Great drinks in the bar. Good appetizer. Lousy waiter (971 Walter M). Have dined at the Palm all around the country including the NYC 206 West St, but this dining experience was the worst. We ordered a medium rare filet and it came out well done. The waiter passed our table and said is everything ok, but didnt slow down to give me an opportunity to complain about the steak. We were greatly disappointed.

No idea why this is rated as upscale - the food was poor apart from the soup. Lobster bisque was decent, steak was bland, sides were terrible - army green colored beans that look like they might have come out of a can, sloppy tasteless potatoes, and mushrooms that tasted more boiled than sauted. Wine is OBSCENELY overpriced, even for New York ripoff standards. Would never dream of going back. Sad.

This place was amazing. The ambience was perfect for a very romantic dinner with my wife. Service was fantastic, very respectful, very knowledgeable. Food was spectacular. New York strip steaks are their signature dish, but the Filet Mignon was also phenomenal. Keep in mind that the Family Style sides and very generous portions, probably shareable between 3-4 people. Overall highly recommended.

Scott and his crew do a great job of making everyone feel welcome. Its a great place for lunch as well as dinner. Its also a good place to bring children, as they have a kids menu, and really go out of their way to make the place children friendly. Start with the baked clams oregenata, and shrimp cocktail. Try the chicken parm, its one of their best dishes, if you want to go for nonsteak..

I spent nearly $50 on a four ounce steak that came without sides and it was bad. I asked that for a medium well steak but the meat was completely charred, not to mention unseasoned. I also got a cocktail that was terrible. the only part of the meal that i enjoyed was my side of steamed green beans which were also over priced. The service was good but the meal was overall not worth it.

Ate here a couple weeks ago. The good: Apps and sides were amazing. Best creamed spinach maybe ever. Service was excellent but when it came to my steak I found it to be a little under seasoned and in-evenly cooked. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt tho. We were a party of 15 and I know how hard it can be to get everyones food out at the same time.

Decent place for a working lunch. The servings are huge if you go for a burger and fries, be warned. Deserts are also good here. I forget how much, but if you spend enough you get your caricature painted on the wall. Given the celebrity of many on the wall its prob going to take more than a few burgers. Normally very quiet atmosphere at lunchtimes

An excellent steakhouse that prepared every meal wonderfully. The Caesar salad was classically delicious. Everyone in our party ordered filet mignon and it was made to each persons liking. For dessert, the cheesecake was a rich, stiff New York cheesecake with raspberry. Sooo yummy! The staff was very accommodating and amiable.

Despite having a semi-sterile interior which even the many face-painted walls cant cure, the food is always delicious. There are two reasons the Palm has been around so long, service and food quality. The service is professional, fast, and thoughtful. Not a great date spot, but a nice place to bring the family, or the co-workers.

This place was shockingly bad. I had the gimlet and the mile high drink and both tasted like I had tried to make them at home myself. The scallops were not at all what I was expecting with breading and a unknown sweet flavor. I didnt think you could screw up a scallop but this was just off putting.
