Weve had weekend homes around the Hoot Owl for years and were super psyched to go try it after hearing that it reopened under new managment. My wife and I first went in for dinner on a Friday night and liked it so much that we came back for Saturday brunch first thing next morning - this time with our many kids. The food is really really great, the bar is good and the people are super friendly. Good combination of locals and visitors. Very excited about this place.

The hoot owl has opened. Owners Arif and Sabeen are charming hosts. The restaurant is a refreshing addition to the Gunks area. I look forward to trying everything on the menu. The menu specializes in local farm to table ingredients which are blended with care and made into a delicious way to travel the culinary world. I recommend the Hoot Owl highly

Lived down the road from the hoot owl for 31 years. Cant wait to be able to grab a beer and chat with friends locally after work again. Ive Heard the new owners are wonderful people and cannot wait to stop in and check it out as there is lots of great work going on down there from what I can see over this past month. So glad it is opening again!

This warm, cozy place owned by a cute couple serves wonderful food. The Hoot salad with chicken was delicious and filling. The chicken was grilled properly. The flourless chocolate cake was very good. My friends had the beef stew and chicken sandwhich. The stew had just the right amount of spice and the chicken sandwhich was really good.

Great find! Rustic style inside but very clean. They have a great variety and there and the food is delicious. I had a fantastic grilled chicken sandwich and chocolate cake. The cake was freshly made and still warm. It was so good I almost cried! I highly recommend this cute restaurant with friendly owners

Hicks yes the best bunch of hicks around. Trailer park trash no. Its a funny thing how an employee gets fired and a horrible review is posted the same week. They must be doing something right they r still in business 60 plus years later. Id say its worth the trip. I have fun everytime I go there.

Its recently under new ownership and I couldnt be more pleased with the direction its gone. The food is a step up from where its even been. The service is also friendly and good. The owners are new to having a food service establishment, but if u give them the chance you wont be disappointed.

Ive always loved this place. Its close to home and feels like home. The new owners are warm and friendly, and have done a beautiful job remodeling, renovating, and revamping the atmosphere and menu.

The food is good, beer reasonable, but the people who occupy this place are probably the best bunch in the world. Wish Id spent more than one hour there.
