I was staying at the Clarion Hotel. After getting up too late for breakfast I decided to go to IHOP a couple of blocks away. After I placed my order I had to go to the bathroom to clean my fingers because the menu was so sticky. As for my breakfast, the bacon were like rubber bands, sausage limp, some of my hash was undercooked while the rest of it seemed like it was sitting on the griddle all morning. When I went back to the hotel and told my coworkers who lived in the area about my experience they told me I went to the wrong IHOP. They said the better IHOP was in the other direction on Rte 37 and pretty much the same distance to travel. Lesson learned. For the rest of my stay I didnt get up late anymore to miss Clarions breakfast or if I did I would have went to the other IHOP, 178 Rte 37 E.

Service is way too S-L-O-W. When this place first opened at this location it was super busy and the service was quick. Now though, they are never crowded, at least not that Ive seen. As infrequent as Ive visited over the last 2 years, no matter the time of day, its never busy; yet, somehow the service is slow. Wait staff is usually friendly and when asked why it takes so long they claim the kitchen is short staffed. Management needs to step it up or shut it down. Oh and my last visit the bathroom was so filthy and had no paper towels. For them to have no customers besides myself who was leaving you would think they could manage to stay on top of things like that.

Took an hour to get water, let alone order food. I normally love IHOP, but this location is terrible. The crepes had less than a teaspoon of filling -- one tiny scoop of whipped cream on pancakes and they have the nerve to charge if you ask for more. Will not be back, drove down the road to the other IHOP location, do not eat here.

Other than pancakes the food at IHOP, on the average, sucks. Its that simple. If you want pancakes go to IHOP. If you want any other food be it breakfast, lunch or dinner go to one of the overabundance of diners in NJ. Even average diners are better than the slop at IHOP (except the pancakes).

Service was prompt but the cool messed up 2 meals out of 8. Pretty bad ratio. In addition, the coffee tasted like water. Manager took 20% off the bill.
