***I am please to say that the owner did call and resolve my issues.*** This will be our final delivery from Cafe Antonio. I called to place my order and they were experiencing computer issues and had to retake my order. In the midst of this they entered my order incorrectly and this was not caught by either party. Typically, not a big deal. When the Chicken Milano arrived it was suppose to arrive with Angel hair pasta and a side of spinach subbed for the Salad. I instead received a Chicken Milano with no pasta and a side of spinach. Mistakes happen, I get it. How is was handled by the staff and manager is deplorable at best. Being very difficult to enjoy a Chicken Milano, I called the restaurant and they immediately took a defensive approach saying that it was my mistake and that I was trying to score a free meal. Maurice the manager informed me that he did not have the authority to remake a meal and that only Anthony the owner could do that. Re-read that last sentence. Could your business run if you took that approach? Maurices solution was to deliver my a side of pasta with the sauce of a Chicken Milano all while refusing to simply remake the meal as it should have been presented. Note, all he would have had to do was to add chicken?! I asked Maurice why would he send me cold pasta to go along with my now cold chicken and was this how he wanted to represent his food and restaurant? Remember, we waited the typical 60 minutes for the initial order. Thirty minutes on the phone arguing with Maurice and another approximately 45 minutes for the pasta to be delivered. He said again he could do nothing and that if he did this for me he would have to do this for everyone. Think about the food cost for a Chicken Milano plate. The meal costs roughly $18 and being a smaller venue they probably run a higher food cost of 27% - so this meal represented a cost of $4.86. Because Maurice refused to simply remake the meal so my wife could actually enjoy it, he took a short cut and lost our business. Cafe Antonio may be known for a great slice of pizza (its great) is certainly not known for good business sense or customer service. Very disappointed in what I used to consider a favorite restaurant.

I really wanted to like this place. All of the local spots have gone "trendy" and we just wanted to find a real non-chain place for the occasional meal. Ill go by course. Bread: Pizza dough with butter (really?) Appetizer Frozen boxed clams casino which has absolutely no business in any restaurant. There is NO clam involved in this disaster. Nor any actual onion or peppers. Bread and something that resembles bacon. This with a fresh seafood store not 400 yards from their door. Inedible. Caesar salad: Included all of the center portions of the lettuce anyone would throw away. Croutons stale, dressing bland. Veal Antonio: Veal is supposed to be tender, this was a stringy nasty piece of shoe leather. I literally had to chew for 2 minutes per bite just to swallow. It then left stings of gristle stuck between my teeth. The prosciutto had no taste at all. The sauce is supposed to be a lemon, wine, butter combination. It was nothing but melted separated butter. There was no wine or lemon detectable in this mess. Lasagna: If you like ketchup its for you. The sauce recipe must read "Can of tomatoes, 1 Lb sugar". Gross. Pizza: Same sauce on under cooked dough. Made Pizza Hut look like real Italian. Dessert: We cut our losses and left. Service: My wife quite intelligently waiting to tell me after we got home that the waiter had continually been winking at her during the meal. I guess he is real impressed with himself. She found it hilarious. Our search for a good local restaurant will continue. We certainly will not return to this disaster.

I have eaten at cafe Antonio at least 5 times maybe more, the food has always been very good, however the last 2 times we have eaten there the service was horrible and it was the same waiter, I believe his name was Alejandro, he was slow to come to our table, took long to come back, the last time we were there, took 15 minutes to bring our wine glasses, took 30 minutes before he brought our appetizer and the table next to us sat down after us and got their salad before we had our appetizer, the owner and manager tried to make it up to us but our night was ruined, needless to say my wife refuses to go back, the quality of the food saved this review from being no stars, if you go and Alejandro waits on you, ask for someone else

I would rate this place 6 stars out of 5 if it were possible. I had no issues scheduling my reservation. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and very clean. Service from the waitstaff was excellent (Nick). Waitstaff even provided bottle service. My date and I ordered the following: one bowl of soup, chicken parm, coffee and lasagna. The food was fantastic: hot warm and delicious! And the bill for all of this? $42!!!! Thats about what I would have spent at a diner for much much less in terms of quality, service and atmosphere. The only downside is that this restaurant is an hour from my house! PERFECT!!!

Last evening 16 of us gathered at Cafe Antonio for a celebration dinner. What followed was truly a feast in the Italian tradition. The wait-staff was courteous and efficient. The chef-owner Antonio (from Carini, Sicily) and the affable manager Maurizio (from nearby Naples, Italy) were ever so accommodating to make our visit to Cafe Antonio as pleasant as we could ever have hoped for. In addition, Italophiles do have an opportunity to banter in Italian with Antonio and Maurizio. Lastly, rumor has it that a Governor from a nearby State holds business lunches , from time-to-time, at Cafe Antonio.

Many people in the area said this place was great, but we couldnt disagree more. Perhaps the worst Italian meal weve ever had. The marinara sauce tasted like pureed tomato with almost no spice. The "Romano Sauce" on the gnocchi tasted as if it were made by Chef Boyardee. The Chicken Parm was more rubbery that the tires on my car. Not to mention the place has no place to park and we had to park up the street in the shopping center. We had better Italian food at Olive Garden and thats not even Italian. Major disappointment, will never go back. Food was awful and way over priced.

I just wanted to say I worked for cafe Antonio for 3 years. And met a lot of people and customers there it was tough at times but Anthonys number 1 rule was to always take care of the customer. The staff there tries there best to do that .The food and management are excellent I know through eating it.Maurice in management and Christopher as head chef all do there part to achieve that goal. Yes Anthony is tough at times but needs to be. Miss everyone. But I do love it here in savannahs Ga.

This restaurant is a real gem. I have used them for 2 baby showers, anniversary dinners, funeral luncheons, & my fabulous 50 th birthday dinner. Every time, just perfect. They go out of their way to honor everything you want, & the food & decor are wonderful. I usually plan a night out for friends for dinner here... I am never disappointed. I just love this place & so do all of the friends I brought there.
