AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!! Very bad service, rudest manager that Ive ever seen. I didnt care that our order took so long, however half of the order (2 salads and 1 fries) came about 5-10 minutes after everything else. We never got any utensil or napkin. Waitress never stopped at our table after she took our order. I had to walk to their stand to find some napkins and forks. I mean, I literally looked through their stand and grabbed some napkins and forks. We didnt get any drink refill. I mean any, no water, no beer, no wine. At the end they added 18% to our check anyway. Now I understand why nobody cares about service here. I went to see the manager "Shelby" and complain about the service. She was super rude and not helpful at all, and while we were getting ready to leave the restaurant, she came to our table and said "we cannot wait any longer for you guys to leave this place!!!" So disappointing!!!! Ill definitely try to call and bring this situation to the owners attention.

Food is completely generic American fare, but in the best way. Good for all hours: great breakfast options including homemade doughnuts, good burgers and entrees, pretty good drink menu. I have to say, though, in the many times Ive been there Ive found that they dont really season a lot of their dishes very well or at all - you can correct this yourself but it would be nice if it was right to begin with. Also, most food is originally frozen and not fresh, but thats the case with any place like this and its still exactly what you want. The River Walk Express offshoot is amazing, letting you get really great bagels and breakfast/deli food at all times. Prices in the main restaurant are honestly just okay considering the quality of food and drink, but the Express prices are so good - you can get a good breakfast for maybe $3.50.

As I was spending a beautiful sunny day in Roosevelt Island, I decided to go for a well-deserved lunch, so I popped in the River Walk. Started with Nachos, goodness me…they were burnt and soggy, what a drag… That was followed by a tomato and mozzarella salad with some bruschetta triangles topped with some dodgy greasy melted cheese and a dubious pesto sauce, sided with arugula plus the worst sweetish dressing that definitely ruined the whole serving. Thank goodness the service was really good, from Kerry who was dealing with the whole floor on her own. The "chef" should be in jail for crimes against humanity and their palates. In other topic, the place’s Wi-Fi was not working that day. Piece of advice to waitress Kerry: you are too good for that place; you should be working in a better eatery. Not recommended.

I wish I could have an opportunity to review the food but unfortunately the service was non existant. Not only did the clueless hippy who was the "hostess" make us wait 15 minutes, but did not even bother to let us know once our table was ready as we sat outside no more than 5 feet away from her. Im amazed she can tie her own shoes When we were finally seated we watched the tables around us be helped immediately but we did not even receive a hello from ANYBODY. This place is so completely mismanaged Im amazed people come back. Im happy this place did not receive a dime of my money and would gladly leave a flaming pile of dog poo on their front step as gratitude.

The place is ok. They have outside seating option. The menu is limited to your typical bar menu with burgers , sandwiches and fries. Decent selection of tap beers. But the service is horrible. I couldnt help notice the other reviewers who got bad service were colored people like me. Could be coincidence but they were playing fox news so... Anyway the waitress was probably having a bad day or something coz she took long to take the order and when she did she just threw the napkins and the glasses on the table. But she was the only one working there. So maybe over worked ? This place is definitely a place to go have a beer and chill but not so much for food.

A nice little hidden oasis on Roosevelt Island, right off the subway or tram. My friends have been coming here for years on Sundays due to 50 cent wings during the football season. The servers are friendly, even when you do order close to a hundred chicken wings. The sauces are pretty good too and dont be afraid - even the Volcanic doesnt get too hot though it does have a nice peppery taste to it. If heat isnt your thing they offer bbq, teriyaki and a rotating third choice. The wings are a good size and they have a decent beer selection. If I was a football fan this place might be my favorite hideout, right now its in the top 5.

I took my sister to Roosevelt island to take the tram (recommended for tourists and cheap romantic getaways with a swipe of a Metrocard) and we walked into Riverwalk with empty stomachs given it being the only restaurant around. + Convenience - Steps away from the F subway station. + Food - We ordered sandwiches - classic diner food, not anything to rave about. The sweet potato fries were a hit. I do wish the portions were larger. - Service - After eating our meal, the game of search for the waitress ensued for 10 minutes. I was not surprised. Riverwalk Bar & Grill is a monopoly on Roosevelt Island.

First, the food wasnt on time. When I called, the lady picked up with an uninviting attitude, saying, "your food should be there any moment now." I asked for cheese fries, and I received 4 slices of American cheese slapped on top of my fries, and it wasnt even melted. I literally pulled the cheese off in whole. The mozzarella sticks were super cold, and the cheese wasnt stretchy. I had an overall horrible experience. Waste of my money, and I will make sure to never order again!

The most shockingly horrible restaurant experience Ive ever had. I went with two others who had a groupon. They refused to accept it without a printed paper so we agreed to just pay full price since we drove all the way out there. The manager comes to us and immediately began yelling at us out of nowhere! We were wide eyed and he told us we could leave if we wanted to which we promptly did. Now I can see why the place was deserted on a saturday night.

BEWARE OF USING CREDIT CARDS HERE! As a Roosevelt Island resident, I used to love this place until I accidentally noticed that they charged my card twice for one order and it took days to get a refund. When I went back in my statements, I saw it had happened in the past too. All of the nice staff most certainly arent to blame, but there are some individuals it seems... Had I not "caught" it - they would have gotten away with it like they formerly have.

My friend I stopped in at River Walk to use the restroom one weekend after walking Roosevelt Island and decided to stay and grab a bite; needless to say we were pleasantly surprised. Our waiter was quick and attentive, checking in on us every so often to make sure that we were okay, even though we got two apps to split. The waffle fries were huge, as were the boneless wings. Prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was fun.
