I was actually blown away by this inconspicuous hole in the wall restaurant. Im from The Bronx, so Im always excited to see good things going on there. This was a great thing. Decor left a bit to be desired, all the tables are dark and woody. Along with the dim lighting, small space of ten tables (some 2 seaters some 4 seaters), a corner of plush (but in need of repair) seats align the only window. Immediately I noticed someone had "repaired" a fabric rip by using gray masking tape tsk tsk tsk BUT this aint project runway and Im not Tim Gunn. Lets get to it!! The menu was decent, not a huge variety but enough to make you feel as if you didnt waste your time bothering to stop in. We were seated quickly waitresses were nice, smiled made us feel welcomed which was really nice being that Ive been complaining of lack of great service lately. Drink menu was cool , they had a few creative drinks on there. The three of us immediately decided on The flaming Bob Marley shots and Rum Punch. Once we put in the order we quickly realized neither knew what in the hell to do when these shots of fire arrived!! I googled it but we were still nervous lol The waitress brought it over to us and asked if we knew how to drink it and showed us how using the straw method. Took me a few tries and 2 melted straws but I got it and it was fun and delicious, warm toward the end. I REALLY liked it, we all did. Rum punch was not the One hitter quitter that my fellow Yelpers made it seem like. It was ok, Great if you like banana rum and Guava (but I dont) but not as strong as I had hoped.

Mike the owner should be arrested. He hides the register behind the counter(in violation of the law) and overcharges all the customers. None of the merchandise has a price on it (against the law). He refuses to give a receipt. For example your order should be $18.00 he will say just give me $20 or $22. When you call him out on his fraud he will suddenly change the prices. Your $2 muffin will become $3.50 your $1 bag of chips $2.50 and his biggest mistake is always the .99 cent Arizona Ice teas become $2.75!!! He does this to over 100 customers a day and makes an extra $500 + a day!! This is a felony!! Michael your going to get arrested very soon :)

They prepared the food for our staff holiday breakfast and it was all scrumptious. The Deli made pick up so easy since it was all packed up and ready to go in quite a large box. They were friendly and quite helpful too. The school staff ate every last bite - a testament to the tastiness. An added bonus: they also were food allergy aware. I will def go there with my family for a meal any day.

A New Rochelle staple. Great food and impeccable service. Seriously, this team is working hard every time Im in there. Get there early or expect a bit of wait, but the line moves fairly fast.
