There coffee is good. There food is good (though slightly over priced) Place itself is pretty nice. Its a shame that the staff seem to have a hard time being polite. I live down the street and have been here a number of times, and there are only two employees that I have encountered here that are nice. The rest seem to have some problem with having to talk to other people or be generally courteous. One girl reluctantly took my punch card and, because she was way too busy talking to another employees didnt give it back. When I asked for it she was absolutely offended as if I had done something wrong. They are either too busy not paying attention to you or too concerned with their gossip and it always results in them being rude. Im not asking for full on conversations or for them to ask me about my life, I worked in fast food through high school and college, I get it, but slap a smile on and look your customers in the eye when your taking their order and money. Its not a lot to ask for. I dont care if your friends have come to visit you at work to talk about the acting gig you guys have lined up. They are interrupting you from your job and in turn interrupting me from getting on with my day. Honestly if there was another cafe with coffee this good on my way to the train I would happily go there. Im seriously considering going to Starbucks. Sorry for the 2 stars 60 Beans. But this has been a problem for too long.

Making this a short one: Chill vibes. A bit of Indie music; indie pop, soft techno fills the room through the day. This is the perfect place for people camp to out while studying, working, or just killing time like I was while enjoying a cafe beverage or two. The matcha green tea is nothing held back, the matcha is a full flavored kind of drink. I had to put a little sugar in mine. I know, Im weak sauce / still a noob. The vanilla chai latte hit the spot, and definitely something I recommend over unnamed coffee shop chain. Its fast casual kind of setup - order at the counter, listen for your drink order as they dont take down your name and then pick up at the end of the counter. Dishes and cups are self-serve to put away in the sink and dispose of any trash. The baristas are friendly and are knowledgeable about the drinks they serve as well as making a better recommendation if you the drink that you wanted is different from what they honestly describe it as. I happen to visit on election day and all the pastries were sold out except for some muffins, which wasnt going to satisfy my craving. But I wont take away any points for that. Simply put, if all of these conditions meet your criteria, 60 beans is just about perfect for a local cafe.

The stretch between 31st St and Steinway on Ditmars has a lot of coffee shops and this one is a standout. They use high quality beans and take their time with every drink order, so it always turns out perfect. Its the perfect place to catch up with friends, or to bring your laptop and get some work done. They also now have more food than they did before and have a beer and wine happy hour. Its also nice that their outdoor seating is on the side of the building and not on the main road, but even if you cant get one of the coveted outdoor seats, they have large windows that unfold for some of their bar seating inside. All around one of our favorite places.

September, 2016 update: still amazingly delicious, but still not enough customers! I realize that this place doesnt look like a restaurant, because of all the laptops in the front window all day, but I promise, come to the warm, comfy backroom in the evenings, and you will be rewarded with one of the best meals in Astoria. Its certainly the best pasta Ive eaten outside of Batalis restaurants, and all housemade. Where else are you going to get that around here? Their appetizers are fantastic, too. We always over-order, because everything is so tasty. Please dont walk by this place!

Place is cute and they have dough donuts, really good coffee and a nice atmosphere. My only issue is I came in to fill a growler with their cold brew coffee and they wouldnt fill my growler because it came from a different coffeeshop. Im not sure how that makes any sense because theres no way that anybody would ever own more than one or two growlers and Im not going to buy a new growler every time a new coffee shop or brewery opens. Besides that, its fine.

I went there twice for a mocha latte with an extra shot which is apparently a double (not my choice, just their sizing) with almond milk and paid 975 in total. NOT worth it. Ever. I think its 6 and change without the shot and another $.75 for the milk But they do use a really good barista almond milk brand...thats about it.

Pasta was fresh and tasty. A couple local beers on tap. After dinner espresso was perfect, a carry over from their day-time occupation as a coffee bar. Interior was a clean simple parlor feel, didnt feel like you were eating in a coffee shop but not too stuffy and fancy either.

Lovely, cute cafe thats hip without being pretentious. Friendly staff, great window seating, decent prices. Open late, but wi-fi is turned off after 5pm to be tech-free, which is a great idea. Youll be hard-pressed to find anything else like this spot on Ditmars!

I wandered in on a Sunday morning looking for a good place to do some work and found a cozy spot. Ordered a chai tea latte and an iced mint green tea - both were delicious. Chill music and a quiet atmosphere - will definitely come back.

Went here for dinner and it was amazing! I got the beet salad to start and the rigatoni as my entree! Food was so good I had to try desert so I got the Cheesecake which was unbelievable! Definitely a go to place in Astoria

Great coffee house atmosphere. Baristas serve up terrific expresso based beverages; offerings also include good coffees, teas and pastries, including limited breakfast and lunch selections.

My favorite coffee shop in New York. I come here whenever I get a chance and always bring friends along. The atmosphere is always welcoming and they serve the best Mochas. Great job guys!

Coffee is good. A nice quiet place to enjoy a cup of coffee. They get locally roasted beans from cafe grumpy. They have dough donuts a major plus but they sell out quick.

Good latte and I love that they turn their wifi off at 5pm. Its right there in the network password. A tad pricey, but for the atmosphere its worth it.

Just what this old school neighborhood needed. Modern style and good coffee, without the pressure of cold hard Greek hospitality.
