I planned my friends birthday party here and had a wonderful experience. I was a little bit skeptical because I saw some of the negative reviews online about this restaurant but they went above and beyond to make sure that this party was not only a success but that it was everything I wanted and more. The owner and staff are all very professional, friendly and courteous people. I told them what I wanted and how I wanted it and it was never a problem. The food was incredible and a very reasonable price. They even grilled me salmon and never charged me for it. I would say that this restaurant is full of people that will go above and beyond to make sure that you are satisfied and I am defiantly a satisfied customer. I highly recommend the Port Royal Restaurant for its superb service, delicious food, modern and beautiful decor, lively music and reasonable pricing.

This place used to be good when I first moved to this neighborhood back in 07. But now its like they never have anything thats on their menu. And Im not just talking about 1 or 2 things on the menu. MOST of what is on their menu, they dont have at the restaurant. I love sweet and sour chicken. Its on the menu, but they rarely have it. I love cod fish cakes. Its on the menu, but they never have it. And I have been trying to get a beef patty from this place since last year. Beef patties are on the menu, but they NEVER have it! A Caribbean restaurant without beef patties is like McDonalds without Big Macs. It doesnt makes sense. I rarely go to this place now because I know they wont have what I want (even though what I want is on the menu).

This place is a very amazing diner for all of your West Indian cravings from breakfast to dinner they serve it all. The neighborhood the diner is in, is not one of the best around but that does not hinder the service and food you recieve! if there is any downside the food can sometimes be expensive but the quality of the food makes up for it. The employees here never forget casual and returning faces and will joke around and laugh it up with you like family. even more importanly, upon making a card purchase, they always ask me for I.D. most people would feel uncomfortable with this, but I respect it!

The food is good. But the customer sevice on the phone and in person is horrible. The people who answer the phone dont know how to communicate and properly conduct a order. They always in a rush and have no patience when u ask a question about the "food".Its like they dont care to listen to your actual order. Its not suprising if business is losing customers just because of the customer service. The people you buying the food from espically the women act like youre begging them for food for free. Youre buying a large oxtail and theyre giving you four pieces of meat. Meat must be LIMITED.

Im disappointed! I usually go everyday to have lunch. I started going to the side that has American cuisine and the smoothies. During the week very good service from the young lady who bakes. I went today came from Rosedale. It was empty and the young man serving today had me speechless. I ordered some chicken and asked if I could have macaroni and cheese from the other side. He told me Im alone I cant. I was surprised no one was in there and I never had a problem before. I like to patronize our people in our community. That left a bad taste in my mouth. Very disappointed.

The food is a hit and miss I do like going there because its less crowded I only get takeout I havent had a chance to sit and dine but if you choose certain food its really good so I just keep to the foods that I like like the jerk chicken the white rice the curry goat I dont try to rest because I dont know how its going to taste and I dont want to waste my money. And the fact that they wanted to serve my daughter some stale macaroni and cheese when they could have just opened a new pan for the customer why would you want to sell the customer stale food

My experience there was very disturbing. After ordering my food I went to pay for it with my debit card. I was told I had to present them with my ID which I didnt have on me because I actually went to do laundry at the laundromat next to the restaurant and decided to pick up something to eat while out there. From what I know that is common knowledge (anyone can Google it) as long as my signature matches when I sign the receipt they are not suppose to refuse me service, which of course they did.

Need authentic west indian cuisine and baked goods reasonably priced, look no further port royal restaurant and bakery is the 1 stop you need to make. The food selection is superb, the best tasting food anywhere in NY. I had the chance of experiencing the myriad of jamaican baked products from granny grater cakes to jamaicas finest beef patties. This place is a must visit if youre in the queens area. And how can I not mention how great the staff were, oh the cleanest place ever.

I must say this is the BEST Jamaican restaurant Ive ever visited!! The food is very appetizing, always clean, great customer service very welcoming and not to mention the pastries by the bakery oh yes I enjoyed the red velvet cheese cake. I stopped for breakfast one morning and trust me they have me hooked, I love the menu. Introduced a few co-workers and they loved it also. Whenever your in need of great Jamaican food visit Port royal they have the best.
