There is nothing about this place it says Mexican if you have never had Mexican food you wont be disappointed or maybe you will. If you know what real Mexican food taste like do not come here. This is nothing more than Sysco food products out of a can. This place advertises that their food is not spicy Im sorry but isnt that the opposite of what Mexican food is. the only thing these people have going for them if they have a good location on Route 4 so they get many people traveling through oh I am sure will never come back here again. Also being here in Washington County Im sure there are very few people who know what authentic Mexican food should taste like. very very overpriced. Their chili rellenos are nothing more than green peppers stuffed with whatever. if you want a authentic Mexican food in this area, go to Poblanos Mexican restaurant Ridge Street downtown Glens Falls. now this is as close as you will get to Mexican food in this area I highly recommend. this may only be an opinion take it for what its worth but I lived in New Mexico for 25 years and my Spanish in-laws own Mexican restaurants.

We have been going ot El Mexicano since it opened. The food here is excellent and very authentic. They are also very generous. You get as much chips and salsa at no extra charge a free qesadilla in the beginning of your meal and at the end of the meal you get free desert a bananna crepe. The portions are just enough not too much not too little. Some people who do not like authentic may not like this place. for exampel Nachos are chips with melted cheese and a sliver of pepper. Do not expect "American" style Nachos with beans meat cheese in a huge messy tower. I would give them 5 stars but i believe EVERY mexican resturant should have that option i love big towers of messy nachos and although i love their food i hate that i cant get that there. Also there was one employee who spit on my boyfriens coffee cup it must have missed and he saw it on the side of the cup! And we ALWAYS tip VERY well. Im not going to slam this resturant because of one bad apple I really like the people and the food. They just need to keep a better eye on people they have working for them.

Decent food, but quite overpriced. Ive gone here many times over the last five years. I usually order take out, but we occasionally eat there. The food is ok. No huge flavors, not a ton of spice. But nothing Id send back. I usually get the enchilada suizas, and I enjoy the verde sauce. And I love their salsa. Its just the right amount of spicy, and its a thin salsa that sticks to my chips just enough! But my main problem is the price. I love their salsa so I ordered out chips, salsa and guac. That ended up costing $16 for a small cup of salsa and guacamole. While it was good, I could go to Moes or Chipotle and get a burrito and chips and salsa for that price!

I lived on Texas for many years and enjoyed very authentic food and this place is still better than the rest. The service is fast and friendly, entered are served with chips and salsa and s cheese quesadilla for a starter and includes desert and even a shot of tequila at the end of your meal. The restaurant has beautiful murals on the walls and always looks very clean. If you want to save a few bucks lunch is cheaper than dinner. On some nights you can even catch the mariachi serenading you with his guitar. Amazing little gem in Hudson falls! Great for when your out celebrating with large groups. A+

The food just keeps coming! We ordered the $8 lunch special expecting just the food we ordered. Almost immediately they came over with a basket of chips & salsa. After a few minutes they brought us small cheese quesadillas. Then the lunches we ordered. The portions werent huge but definitly worth the $8. After we finished our lunches & were awaiting the check they brought us plates of grilled banana. We couldnt believe all the food they brought us. Then our check came & all that delicious food actually cost $8! Ill definitly be back every time Im out that way.

This is some of the best Mexican food Ive had, and at exceptional prices (especially lunch). Ive lived in or commuted to NYC, San Antonio, San Diego, and Baltimore, and this competes (and for many dishes, wins) against the best those cities have to offer. Not only that, the service is top-notch; our lunch party, though small and rather late, was served quickly and correctly. The staff is beyond polite; one of the gentleman serenaded us with his guitar while we ate our desserts! Its worth the drive to go get some really great Mexican food and atmosphere.

Our favorite Mexican Restaurant! The staff is prompt and friendly. Chips and salsa are brought immediately. We have been there many times and the food, not matter what we order is amazing. Very authentic. There is sometimes a man playing guitar and singing. He has a lovely voice and is a great guitarist. It creates the perfect ambiance. Another plus is the free tortilla with cheese they bring to you. I wish we lived closer so we go eat more at El Mexicano!

We barely sat down and they came over we salsa and chips. They did the same with the margaritas and even my daughters virgin strawberry Margarita. They even brought a soft tortilla with melted cheese while we waited for the appetizers! The food was great and authentic. I had the abanil platter with shrimp. All the portions were so big we took them home. Great food and service. If Im ever in the area again this is a must.

We live up the road from this restaurant and tried it for the first time tonight. The food is amazing. The staff is wonderful and friendly (that goes for the mariachi as well), not annoying like many of the chains out there. The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. This is our new favorite restaurant. Hopefully, we will make it there weekly...

The food here is amazing. Their mole is unbeatable! The service is also great. They always give us a few things for free when we dine in. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, very colorful, and authentic. You will NOT be disappointed! This place is much better than their Saratoga Springs restaurant, not sure why, but it is.
