Third time at this restaurant but was disappointed with both my meal and my husbands. I asked waitress to go small on the pasta and I got a huge bowl filled to the brim with pasta. Waitress told me the dish I ordered came with a "garlic butter type" of sauce but all I had was a pool of olive oil under the pasta. And canned mushrooms instead of fresh! Husband had seafood alfredo and the sauce was as runny as water. His shrimp were tiny like you get from a can at the grocery store. Even though the leftover styrofoam containers were wrapped in plastic, it still leaked in the car because it was so runny. The people at the table next to us had spaghetti which was a huge bowl totally covered with red sauce and she hardly ate any. Her husband ordered steak and I heard him complain that it was not done as he asked but didnt return it to the kitchen. Ive heard this place is known for good pizza and possibly other Italian meals but not sure I want to go back. Bread was delicious though.

We came for an easy Sunday night with friends and our toddler. Order 3 pasta entrees and an eight cut. Our dinners were never input into the POS system. We waited over an hour before our waitress told us that our food wasnt prepared yet. We requested that it be boxed up at that point. She said, "itll be right in"... 45 minutes later, she addressed us again saying that our orders still hadnt been prepared. We needed to leave because our child was going to soon cause a scene. The waitress was upset also and apologized. Where was the manager? We calmly left. Im sure this isnt a common experience. Most other people would have lost their lid. But mistakes happen and this was just my own personal experience.

Poor service and was not completely satisfied with the food either. 1st the salad bar was small and there was bareley any lettuce in the bowl. 2nd my pasta I ordered it with light on the meat sause and it came out in a swimming pool of sause also asked for a meatball. They forgot ... And the sause had a mass tomato paste taste no real flavor but tomato....:( but the bread was real good if that counts. But Ill probably not be conning back anytime soon.

Ive been meaning to rate The Village for a while now. If you are from out of town, a quick tip about Mount Pleasant, there is a lot of good pizza places here. But a Village "pie" is by far the best around. The rest of the menu is pretty delicious, and the portions are pretty hefty. My suggestion is, if youre stopping in at The Village, you better come hungry and try the "pie".

Great local restaurant that has been a great place for the community for years. The expansion and update is well done and over due. They have great pizza and a friendly staff. Its an easy place to grab a low key, but high quality bite to eat and a cold drink.

Excellent pizza! Also a nice place to enjoy a sit down Italian meal. We often stop in Saturday evenings to enjoy the food in a local family business. Staff is friendly and helpful. This place has been a staple restaurant in Mount Pleasant for a long time.

Family has been coming here for decades. Im a newer convert. But my, oh my... the pizza is fantastic. Truly exceptional. Pro-tip: order the pizza "baked well"... makes the crust and toppings perfectly crispy.
