Visited on 8/11/2014 Cute little place on the main street (ha!) that runs through a town that you will miss if you blink. This place has obviously been here for years, and is full of both old signs and even older photos. Very lively atmosphere. The food was so-so. I had a club that had some very tasty mayo on it; I believe it was dill that was mixed in. I had ordered the cole slaw, but apparently they ran out. I found out by noticing macaroni salad on my plate and when I asked the waitress she recalled that they ran out of cole slaw hours ago. I had also requested no cheese, and the club was delivered with cheese. I attribute the lack of attention-to-detail to the business and multitasking the waitresses were responsible for, as ours disappeared for a good 10 minutes while she attended to a group that came in for ice cream. As a result she was tied up at the counter. My wife also had a dish of ice cream that was tasty and plentiful.

Went for lunch for first time and wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Everything, I mean everything even down to the water was perfect (you cant get good water in a restaurant anymore unless its bottled, but their water tasted great!). The food is amazing!! The vegetables were so fresh in the salad, just stocked with tons of different veggies, dressing delicious. Soup to die for!!! My husbands meal was equally delicious. Servings were generous. The service was tops (thank you Cathleen!) The only question that remains for me is what kind of veggies do they put in their veggie sandwich? If I could find that out Id be a happy camper and likely order one the next time were in. :) Gift shop upstairs is great! Love the atmosphere of the whole place and will definitely return soon.

This place is a joke , had been in before as we dont live far away . Wait staff standing around talking ,with only one other table of customers, 3 waiteress standing around talking about childhood stuff. Sat and waited a good 10 minutes before some one even came with a menu . she never asked if wed like a drink . Handed us menus walked away and started bs with coworkers . Sat and waited for her to come back to serve us and after15 minutes we got up and walked out . The table of ladies next to us said they had been waiting a very long time for thier check . Mind you there were only 2 parties in the place and there was 3 staff . Never recommend it ,

Just out of curiosity I had to go read why some people gave this place fewer than 4 stars. Get a grip, folks. Great sandwiches. Shakes to die for. Loved the Rachel! Way cute place with a hard working staff who, ok, get stretched a little thin when the place is busy. Is there some kind of rush when youre in the mountains. Next time well try it for breakfast before our Lakes bike ride

Really loved the grilled sandwiches. If youre into sauerkraut and turkey, get the Rachel; for grilled chicken and ham in a bleu cheese sandwich, the Grilled Chicken Cordon Bleu. I also recommend the sundae. I picked the Brownie Sundae with Vanilla ice cream (choice).

This place has the best sandwiches in the country! I have been coming for 24 years since I was 4, and I would eat there every day if I lived at my cabin full year around. Try the cougar, the mainstreet melt, or any grilled sandwich!

WhiteWater Raft sundae was absolutely insanely crazy unbelievably good!!! Get vanilla and mint ice cream with it. Maple walnut ice cream is great too. Not sure about the vanilla malt though.
