Lovely homespun elegance awaits you as you enter the dining room situated alongside the Shawagunk Kill waterfall. Sit down at a table set with china and all fine settings a formal place setting has and enjoy a delicious top quality meal prepared by a skillfully trained chef. Feel at home as the owners welcome you to their restaurant as part of their extended family. This was the experience my husband and I shared as we recently celebrated our anniversary at the Old Grist Mill Restaurant. Though I admit I am not a restaurant connoisseur and though the selections were a little pricey, , I found the food to be absolutely delicious and cannot wait for another special occasion to visit the Old Grist Mill Restauarant.

My personal favorite restaurant within 25 miles. Always a great menu of specials; this is a place that you dont want to pass up when youre in the area. The cook is inspired and world class (although hes a bit shy and we almost never get a glimpse of him). Monica and the servers are very friendly and always give us the experience we expect. Were there fairly often and they remember our likes and dislikes. The only downside is that its a bit out of the way, but its always worth the drive.

Wow, what a great dinner. Smoked Salmon with horseradish for appetizer, 16 oz sirloin with maitre d hotel butter, potatoes. And theyve got an outstanding selection of German and other beers. The bread selection was outstanding. And they came out with this Mediterranean salsa that was refreshing and delectable. Id recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal.

Its a cozy bistro type restaurant. I had swaii fish w/ shrimp and it was excellent! If I may say... the taste is great. the quantity is a little too much. the style is a little dated. Their service was good. Its a solid good restaurant. Recommended.
