My friend a I decided to come here for lunch last Sunday. It was a 20 minute wait which was understandable. Small place and everything smelled amazing. We were both pretty excited to eat here. We have both worked in the restaurant industry, and understand everything that goes down in restaurants. And not just any restaurant but for Jean-George in Soho.So weve seen a lot and have experience in this line of work! Any way we arent entitled people, working in the restaurant industry has actually made use nicer and understanding when it comes to certain situations. Like short staff, miscommunication, forgetting to put in our order. Everyones human! We both ordered the miso soup with an egg. We started chatting and got caught up in our conversation until we realized we have been waiting for 40 minutes!!! I knew because my sister sent me a text before we sat down. I looked around and people that have gotten there after us were already eating and a couple that sat a little before us were paying to leave! We kindly asked the waitress if our food was coming. Everyone on who was on our side was eating and they came after us. She then asked if we ordered the veggie and we said no miso. And then She responded "its miso it takes a while"... Really? 40 minutes? My friend had to work at 5 so we decided to wait a little longer and still not food. She went to ask again and her response was " do you want me to cancel?" After 50 minutes of waiting we decided to leave and had pizza down the block at Forninos, food came in 15 mins and she was able to get to work on time. I mean all she had to say was "Im so sorry I forgot to put in your order Ill get it to you asap, heres some sake or dumplings while you wait" or something! It was 3:50pm and we havent eaten all day! But not even an apology. She couldve just owned up to the fact that she messed up and try to fix it and we wouldnt been fine to wait. And obviously still tip her 20%,which we do no matter what.We understand, we really wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. And upon leaving she said "thank you" I really dont understand how they run a business like this! My friend and me were extremely upset after this experience and dont plan on ever coming back! I say whoever owns this place teach your workers how to respond to certain situations, its NYC!

It was a chilly visit in Williamsburg and we were looking for a place to warm up for lunch. The restaurant was empty for a late Saturday afternoon (2:30p or so). However, it began to fill as we were finishing up our late lunch. The menu items are straightforward and small. We werent in a picky mood so we went with two Miso Ramens. Both dishes came out fairly quickly and tasted pretty good. Although it lacked some key toppings like corn or braised hard boiled egg (these items are available for an extra fee), but we didnt mind it all that much. Its a solid spot and warrants another visit.

Visited this place on February 13th at 1pm. After having the ramen, both my wife and I felt sick. While we were eating the ramen had a distinct smell which we were unsure of. Right after eating, both of us felt sick and had bad stomach ache. This place do not use fresh ingredients. The ramen was also not very good quality. A little too expensive for the food quality. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this restaurant.

By far the best ramen weve had in NYC. And weve had a lot. Weve also traveled throughout Japan and are connoisseurs of good ramen, Yebisu is the spot to go. The miso ramen has incredible flavor and is perfectly done. Make sure you add an egg. The spot is cute, staff is friendly, and weve always received our ramen within a short period of time. Wed recco this play over Chuku anyday. The Pork Bun is also amazing!

Compared to authentic food Ramen contents are splendid but the broth is heavy based, for $8~12 you can get a bowl but dont expect it to fill you up, I was really hungry afterwards. The restaurant was very clean and presented itself well. Service was good but its weird when its only you and another table and the waiter cant remember what a table of two ordered. Overall good experience only for your first time.

I really had a bad experience at this place , went for some good time and ramen in a Japanese style place , food was ok but after paying for my food and stepping outside I was followed for either a employee or manager a demand a tip . I basically was forced to tip despite that the Japanese culture dont accept tips , so I guess isnt very Japanese ramen place

Always delicious. Small but not cramped with a relaxed atmosphere. Not much room for large groups so it attracts a more low key vibe. Food is delicious, get the Benkei ramen -- full of flavor and spice! I also really like how they serve the bao. You construct it yourself which means they actually give you a considerable amount of filling!

I still cant make up my mind if I actually enjoy the sapporo-style ramen broth. The noodles are great and the pork buns are good. The broth however, is very heavy on flavor but perhaps too thick in terms of consistency. It almost makes your mouth feel sticky. Id definitely recommend trying this place and checking out the broth yourself.

I came here since Sea was too crowded. This place looked small from the outside but theres actually a lot of tables in the back. The ramen was okay, a little too bland for my taste. The broth wasnt very rich and flavorful as other places. The service was good though since the staff was very nice. This place is cash only.

Ramen in Williamsburg! If its trendy it will come to Williamsburg! Well I am happy that Ramen Yebisu has moved in. Their ramen is delicious and not overpriced. You can eat here for about $15 a person. There is no wait time and the staff is really friendly. Ramen Yebisu saved my hunger when I exited a failed food festival.

This is exactly what the neighborhood needed..classic ramen, in a really cool setting, good location from subway stop. Prices are great (less than $10) for a bowl, so its my consistent go-to. It is cash only though, so make sure to bring some cash or else you might end up using a skecthy ATM like I did last week :/

The food was okay. Ive had both better and worse ramen in NYC. The prices were a little higher than typical which didnt go along with the ho-hum taste. The service was good but slow for a ramen place. Id recommend it but only if youre in the immediate area and dying for a ramen fix. Otherwise, try something else.

Ramenistas the world around make note. Real ramen has finally hit NYC for real. Yebisu is one of a handful of handmade ramen places in the city. The noodles are perfect and the broths are divine. The signature Yebisu Ramen has delicious broth, great fresh seafood, and subtle flavors all around.

My new favorite ramen joint. Yebisu is in my neighborhood so I go quite often. Its by no means the best ramen Ive ever had but, the Shio ramen is great, the prices are fair, and Ive never had to wait to be seated. If you like a little spice, order the homemade spicy oil...its fantastic.
