First off, best Jelly doughnuts Ive EVER had. Order one. Secondly, My band played here once in July 2015. Its got a creative space to play downstairs. Lastly, The owner is probably the most chill person Ive ever met in NYC. She bought one of my bands t-shirts, listened to us perform, and also when I gave this place a 5/5 star facebook review highlighting their doughnuts, I was told I could show my review to redeem a free jelly doughnut. Im from Atlantic City, New Jersey, so Im not up in Brooklyn often, however if I ever find myself up there again, this place is certainly on my list of spots to go chill at. Theres a few negative reviews here, and I for one am quite frankly bewildered. Dont let these 1 star reviews befuddle you nor deter you from coming. For a business of people who actually care and put effort into the cafe, I think they deserve a bit more positive recognition.

Well I came here for a coffee and a sandwich, and got a coffee that was pretty good, with a sandwich? Not sure how they define sandwiches here because I got a flattened ciabatta roll with a barely discernible amount of cheese and 3 scathing blueberries pressed into the center. Not worth 6.50, not even worth 2 dollars. Apparently this place is cool at night and the beer deals are good, just dont make the mistake of coming here in the morning if you are expecting something to eat that can pass as subpar, this is the worst sandwich Ive had in New York thus far.

Nice, small spot for mixed drinks and beers by the can. They offer a few pastries as well. There are a few board games to play and a pool table that is functional. Bartenders were friendly and promoted the specials well ($7 for a beer and a shot) It is recommended that you pay in cash as you go so the bartender does not have to keep track. This prevents miscounting or miscalculating Overall a decent place. Restroom was dirty but acceptable for bar standards.

Never again will I go to this place. I asked for soy milk and they said they had some, but then I over hear them say "just give it to him". Being suspicious I check the expiration date on the milk it was July 03 even though it is currently July 26th. An absolute disgrace for a cafe, they knowingly gave me expired milk. I would give them a negative rating if I could.

This is a lovely cafe (and bar at night) that makes excellent coffee. I believe they use La Colombe and Ive never had a bad cup here. Always expertly prepared and by friendly baristas (even first thing in the morning which is a tall order!) Must go sometime for one of their shows. Im really happy to be around the corner from this great little place

Very nice baked goods. Service is quite professional as well. Price-wise I was surprised to see that everything was about fifty cents to a dollar more than Im used to paying at other fancy Midtown bakeries (Maison Kayser for example), and Im not sure its that much better. I suspect you are helping subsidize their Rockefeller Center rent.

Great barist(o)s, beautiful location, and wonderful juices. Looking forward to seeing it open for wine & beer come warmer months - the back is, frankly, gorgeous. Inside great space as well, great place to meet up. Pastry + sandwich game looks strong, w/ proper baguettes. Will keep eye out for vegan treats ^.^

They function as a cafe during the day, but stop serving coffee & tea later on which I found a bit strange. They also dont have taps, just cocktails, shots, and cans. Not a bad spot, but there are other full-service bars in the immediate area that I would recommend instead, depending on what youre looking for.

They only have paper cups and the quality of drinks suffers by that. The barista is rude and unwelcoming. The pastries and drinks do not live up to their price, hard to expect that the community would be interested in this place. It seems that if you are not a hipster, you will not be served properly

They only serve beer in cans or bottles, the coffee is weak and the cocktails are not the most well mixed. Live shows here can be fun but for a casual drink theres better options a few blocks away.
