I ordered the Mango Lassi, Mango Salad, Chicken Tikka Naan and the Banana Pakora. For starters, I didnt get a fork or anything for my salad; just three sauces and a straw for the Mango Lassi drink. The Banana Pakora is good, but I found it to leave a bitter aftertaste. If you dont love mangos as much as I do, you may find the Mango Lassi drink to be a little watery. Otherwise, its pretty good as well. Now, for the Chicken Tikka Naan. On their GrubHub page, its described as being "stuffed with shredded chicken". When I opened the bread there were GRAINS of chicken, and very little grains at that. I basically ate some sauced up bread. And the bread is quite thick, so its nearly impossible to taste the bits of chicken embedded inside the bread. And as for the Mango Salad itself (without any sauces added), I found the spices to be overpowering and I couldnt enjoy it. I personally did not expect a fruit salad to have hot spices. Had the store put a description of the Mango Salad, I wouldve reconsidered my choice. On the bright side, the delivery man was nice and my order came in right on time.

I more than "Love it", Im totally addicted to it! This spot JUST opened, so how could I be addicted to it, you may be asking... Well, the owners used to run a spot called Gandhi and at the start of the year they transferred ownership. Before that, I went to Gandhi every single week, no matter what, for over a year. Thats how Im addicted! Okay the dishes to try are the Malabar Curry, the Saag Paneer, the Garlic Naan, the Mixed Grill, and the Mango Lasi! If you cant get them all, just pick one and the naan. What I look for in good food is TASTEFUL, NON-GREASY, UNIQUE, and prepared by AWESOME people! I mean lets face it, good food served by un-interested servers is just good food, but not an exceptional experience! And for all that I would pay ANY price, but it just so happens that Ashoka Grill is exceptionally priced! You must try it at least once. The Saag Paneer is my #1 by the way because its creamy, theyre generous with the cheese cubes, and its absolutely not greasy at all. Ok thats my two cents! Hope you go!

First the location is perfect where you can do your shopping and dine and it is the only type of cousin in the area. Then, Warm reception and very clean and nice arrangements. That about the location, now food...... They give complementary appetizers which is well prepared with three sauces. The garlic nan bread was mouth-watery its a balance of crunchy and tasty. The chicken cury was just what I want neither plain nor so spicy just so delicious... Ymi. Overall it was outstanding restaurant with nice atmosphere to dine..

Had ordered take out back in May and everything was delicious except the bread which was soggy and inedible. Ate there tonight and everything was terrific. We had the Lamb Saag, the meat was tender and well seasoned. The Goat Madras was quite spicy (Indian not American spicy) and excellent. The okra in the Bhindi do plaza was perfectly cooked and fresh. The Vegetable Biryan was loaded with vegetables, just moist enough and yummy. And the Naan was tasty and baked just as it should have been. We expect to be regulars.

Very friendly staff with excellent customer service. Even while you ordering take out they make you feel at home. I gave it 4 stars because once my friend and I waited a long time for our food to come out over 30 minutes out . We were the only ones there but once it came we forgot about the long wait. Food was delicious!!!!! Their home delivery is quick and prompt I must say. Delicious food, good service, reasonable price, I def recommend this place. Plan to go their this Saturday.

I just moved to the area from Queens and gave this place a try earlier this evening. The food and service were really good. They received a lot of great reviews from Google and I understand why. The only reason why I gave them four stars is because I know some excellent restaurants in Jackson Heights, Queens, where the food is very, very good. Rest assured that I will visit Ashoka Grill many times while living here.

Visiting from Canada, found this place randomly in TripAdvisor near where we are staying. They were very welcoming and enthusiastic. The food came quickly and was delicious. Really enjoyed the naan, which comes in a number of varieties. The mango lhassi was also very nice. Everything was very reasonably priced. I would probably go back often if I lived in the area.

Not only was the food delicious but the service was amazing! They really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I am not from the area and simply stumbled upon the newly opened restaurant. I am so grateful I did! Everything was wonderful and I am looking forward to visiting again when I am back in Brooklyn. I would certainly recommend Ashoka Grill!

This place can be a hit or a miss but its the only halal Indian restaurant near brooklyn college. Been there several times now and I think its to the point where the staff knows me and my friends that they are nice and friendly. I only heard 2 bad reviews from friends. I suggest you go and try. The prices are good, food is also pretty good.

Ive tried at least seven Indian restaurants in the area and this is the best, by far. Competitive prices and excellent quality. Seamless arrived quickly (30 min?) both times I ordered. Ive had lamb vindaloo, peas and cheese, navrattan korma, chicken makhni and baingan bhartha and all were quality.

A hidden gem in Flatbush - the food is amazing. Fresh, tasty, plentiful (I was stuffed from my biryani and barely ate 1/3 of it), and the service is on point. Highly recommended.

Surprisingly good food. Considering the junk we usually have in this neighborhood, this restaurant is a pleasant treat. Good food, good service. I most certainly reccomend them.
