This place is a hit or miss depending or which server you get. Ive waited 10 + mins before being acknowledged at the table on more than one occasion. Also on a previous visit with my two little girls, I witnessed two servers yell and curse at each other in middle of the restaurant. None of the other staff tried to stop the argument and there was not a manager in sight. When I mentioned that it wasnt professional to have a screaming match like that when paying for my bill the girl just brushed me off. Im will be trying to avoid this place from now on especially since again today I waited another 10 mins before being acknowledged.

Pros: Serving size, selection, attentive server. Cons: Price, dishes are nothing special, receptionist had attitude. I had the farfalle with chicken and mushroom yesterday. The parmesan cheese sauce was extremely greasy. When I reheated leftovers, I had a 1/2" layer of grease in the bottom of my container. I can tolerate some grease, but thats overkill. The pancetta was also way overcooked. I can barely eat it and it gets stuck between my teeth. The receptionist gave me and my friend attitude when we wanted to split the bill in half and told her how much we were paying. I would not recommend this place to friends.

What an awesome place for a weary traveler like myself. I was greeted by a very well groomed and courteous young man. My breakfast was quickly served by a true proffesional (Susan) who kept my coffee topped off. The only hesitation was this one waitress who thought it would be ok to scream from the kitchen at what I would imagine was the cook using foul language and bringing it out to the diner area. Besides that one waitress I think the entire establishment was awesome and if I came through the area I would certainly stop again. Minus the floor show hopefully.

Its very convenient because there isnt many food choices in that shopping center. Its fairly recent construction, so it seems modern. Their theme is very kitschy 60s influenced diner. All the menu items have some kind of nickname for them. I get their corned beef hash with eggs. They call it "Corny Hash". They have a huge selection of meals, shakes, treats, and espresso drinks. Its a real diner with breakfast all day. Beyond that, the place is often not completely cleaned. The food is IMHO mediocre, but breakfast is good. Coffee is lame. The staff is average.

Saltiest matzoh ball soup with matzoh balls so dense that the broth often doesnt even penetrate them to their core. Personally, I love this. This place gets a little too crowded sometimes for my taste. Still waiting on the Eveready chain to fully grow into the title of "diner" with which they emblazon their establishments and start staying open 24 hours. Seriously, this could not be a bad thing for business. This practically exists at the crossroads of a major highway and (I think) the main commuter station on the Harlem Valley MetroNorth Line.

The staff is always pleasant and eager to make the best out of what is given. The food is hit or miss and at times nothing to rave about. Grill closes at designated time of the evening so most of the menu is not available. The water is absolutely disgusting and having gone there multiple times over a year I now bring my own drink with me. Due to the water issue the soda, teas, and lemonade all have that hard water taste. The place is clean and atmosphere is very family friendly but in order to make me recommend this place please fix the water.

Saw this place on diner, drive-in and dives so next time I was in Danbury had to try it. This place is amazing. Everything taste made in house. I ordered the Hudson salad and replaced it w/ salmon. Okay I was prepare for the typical piece of salmon nyc would give. The salad arrive w/ a whopping 10+oz slab of salmon. I had to tap out of the salad oh this was after the disco fries which I heard were tasty and were. My girl had the Texas tuna melt...slamming!! Bottom line this place is the bomb!! Try everything b/c I wish I did.

Prices were OK and the food was pretty tasty and generous. Staff was very pleasant. The atmosphere was just a touch over done: the building is left over from a national theme chain, refurbed to hold the second edition of a Hudson Valley favorite. The big space doesnt fit the "diner" vibe too well and the large walls contribute to bouncing the noise around. (Sit in the front if you can; the ceilings are lower and cut the noise a bit. Carpet there helps too.) Great place to meet someone coming up 84 or 684. Will probably do that again.

This is our first time here and we are very pleased with the food. We came late, 1030pm, but the food still tasted fresh. My husband got a bacon, egg and cheese hamburger. The burger was thick and juicy and the egg cooked perfectly. I got chicken parm. The chicken was crispy and the sauce was tasty. I liked that there wasnt too much sauce. Our server was attentive and friendly. Our only complaint would be that the prices seem a smidge higher than average. We will be back and would recommend this diner. Thank you!

So unfortunately I have to give them even 1 star. Lets start with the fact that the online prices do not match what you pay when you pick up your food. I let that slide hoping the food was as good as reviews and let me tell you the buffalo chicken tenders I ordered were so disgusting I dont think a starving dog would eat them. For $11 I got 5 soggy chewy ligament filled sticks they call chicken. No dipping sauce no fries just a few carrots that were dry and shriveled up. Will most definitely not be going back.

Stopped on our way from PA to RI. Food was amazing, we got pecan pancakes and regular egg sausage toast home fries breakfast. The sausage was the best Ive ever had in a diner and pancakes were perfect with real maple syrup. When we were done I wanted to take my coffee with me for the road (it was just half a cup and was mostly cold at this point) they brought us two to go cups and filled them both with fresh coffee. Great service great food very clean

I honestly dont remember diners being this nice on the inside, or having such good food. They have an extensive menu that they handle very well -- the entrees are fresh and very colorful. The interior is probably the nicest diner space youve ever seen, down to the little jukeboxes at your table. Service is friendly and prompt, and decked out in uniform. Its worth a visit if you happen to be in the neighborhood.

We were met and seated by a very friendly hostess and thats just about the highlight of our experience. First you get a menu and once you decide what you want your server says "oh these are not available, mostly whats available is breakfast and sandwiches. Then a French onion soup is a dark cheese covered sludge, a milk shake takes 20 minutes. We will ddefinitely be avoiding Eveready Diner in the future.

Greasy and gross. Wish I could get my $40 back. I really have nothing nice to say about this place. The only good thing that we ordered were the pancakes. Burger was greasy, chicken salad was overall disgusting and the kids chicken fingers were grease nuggets. I expect greasy dinner food but this was beyond. Plus the place was a mess and the servers were rude. Pass it on by people!
