Best place in Mesilla and most likely to be the best in Las Cruces. Excellent quality-price food. You are going to find incredible dishes here, from normal mexican food with a lot of flavor, to the most fancy dishes that you are going to find in the south of New Mexico. If you are traveling and you are passing through Las Cruces, dont doubt to stop here and try the truly mexican flavor, such as the enmoladas with mole poblano or chiles en nogada. They also offer good variety of seafood and beef cuts with extravagant sauces. I been living in Las Cruces for almost 3 years and since I discovered this restaurant, I have been going here at least once or even twice a week.

Traditional Mexican and Latin American flavors you cant get at most Mexican restaurants. They use herbs and citrus to really bring out the flavor in their dishes; not like in your typical Tex-Mex "heavy and spicy" fare. Beautifully prepared and reasonably priced, everything I have tried is satisfying. The breakfast menu is probably my favorite but dont let that stop you from trying the lunch or dinner menus! Its a little hard to find, but the atmosphere and food make any difficulty well worth it. Its the kind of place where you go, and then tell your friends "You have to try this restaurant!"

Paisano is a hidden gem! Once you manage to find it (no sign visible from the main road), you wont be disappointed. Paisano offers reasonably priced Mexican fair as well as more premium priced steaks/seafood. I have taken my wife twice for "date night." I enjoyed my steak both times (I recommend the NY Strip with bleu cheese and balsamic reduction) and my wife loved her fish selections. The price was comparable to most reasonable steakhouses. My only complaint is that my salad was a bit wilted. The quality of the food made up for that short coming.

Passing through on a cross country trip and was fortunate to stumble on this hidden gem while searching for good restaurants in the area. It is DEFINITELY worth the short drive off of i10. Great service, amazing food, and the salsa... Oh my, the salsa. Salsas for the rest of my life will be bland because of Paisanos salsa... I will be returning so I can try the other items on the menu... And eat more salsa.

We had the best meal in a long time here last night! The menu is extensive and the three different choices at our table were all fabulous. We didnt talk much except to rave about the food. Our server was perfect and the ambiance is casual elegance (cloth napkins rolled around the silverware). This wasnt a typical Mexican restaurant meal and we will definitely be back!

We highly recommend Paisano Cafe. It is our favorite restaurant in the area. Wonderful, unique flavors and an exceptionally friendly and gracious staff! And there are so many delicious choices for vegetarians, e.g., the empanada appetizer, mushroom appetizer, and the guacamole. And, try one of the four different mole sauces on enchiladas!

Well its not what it use to be, the tea was old and tasted bad, the coffee cup they served our coffee it had three chips on the rim of the cup. The burrito plate presentation was just the burrito on a plate. Oh and when we requested to speak to the manager the waiter advise us he was busy. The manager did assist us.

Great hidden treasure! Actual hours are: Monday & Tuesday: 10am-3pm. Wedn, Thurs, & Friday: 10am-9pm Saturday: 8am-9pm. Sunday: 8am-3ishpm Weekends we serve breakfast. Beer and Wine available. Not just amazing mexican authentic food, but also pasta, wraps, salads, burguers, steak, sea bass & so much more!!!

The Las Cruces have many great restaurants. But Paisano Cafe is our favorite, and many of its dishes, like mancha manteles and chiles en nogada, the cuisine of central Mexico, arent served anywhere else. I dont understand why it isnt full more often? We are going there on Mothers Day for breakfast!

Ate here last night. Husband had the pork tenderloin, and I had the chicken with a really delicious green sauce! But no bread or rolls, no salsa or chips and in the middle of our meal they had a large party walk in.... you guessed it we were totally forgotten waited way to long for the check!

This is the best restaurant in southern New Mexico. Their speciality seems to be Central Mexican food, which means that what they serve is totally unique to them for NM! The sauces are delicious and creamy. The atmosphere is wonderful. Never had a bad meal here and the prices are reasonable!

We are on the last few days of our two week vacation. If we lived in Las Cruces, we would be regulars. Live music was a nice surprise. Best meal on our trip. Prices are reasonable, and staff amazing. Chef has skills.. We will be back!!

This place is amazing!! Its all about the sauce. Several hand crafted atypical complex mind blowing varieties. It seems like they avoid pre-made food and opt for traditional cooking. Not too expensive for how great it is.
