We had our wedding on May 6th, 2016 at the Highlawn Pavilion. The venue itself is gorgeous and the staff is excellent. I would like to especially recognize Paul, who helped us plan everything up until the wedding. He was very patient and flexible with our time and provided us all the information we needed and more prior to our big day. During our special day Norma took over and made sure everything was well coordinated from the start to the end. Norma made sure that the wedding party was on cue and fed us during the excitement of the reception. Our guests continue to compliment us on the excellent food and the great time they had. There was more than enough room for our guests and a huge dance floor. The decor is perfect and we barely needed any extras. Not only would recommend Highlawn Pavilion to anyone seeking to get married in grand style; we are recruiting family and friends to get married there so that we can attend and enjoy the same way they enjoyed our wedding! Came to Highlawn Pavilion to celebrate Fathers Day. I had never visited the Pavilion for dinner and had only been up in the area to see the view on several occasions. There is ample parking available, as well as valet. Remember that this place has a pretty specific dress code. Men must wear a collared shirt and a jacket is preferred. No shorts or sneakers are allowed. I had made a reservation ahead of time, and we were seated promptly upon arrival. Nearly all tables in the dining room offer a gorgeous view of the New York City skyline. The service is what youd expect from a higher class restaurant. All servers were courteous and helpful in making decisions on entrees. The food was exquisite. I had the special of the evening which included Red Snapper and basil infused quinoa. It was absolutely delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked and all the flavors blended together to make a perfect dish. Would definitely recommend folks to come here for a special occasion.

We just had our wedding there this weekend, the venue is beautiful and for the most part the food was very good but we were SO DISSAPOINTED with the cocktail hour! There was not enough staff and barely any food was served for our party, in fact 4 of the 9 butler style hors doeuvres were served but most of our guests were hungry and were not being served. A good 15 minutes went by where no hors doeuvres were being served at all. When we asked to see the catering manager (twice), he did not appear. He did not check in on us until the main meal was served and at that point we did not want to ruin our night. There were even times when people were waiting for drinks and there was no bartender available to serve them! I never expected to have these issues at such a high-end catering hall! I would not have another event at the Highlawn after my experience:(

I read reviews about how the views were nice and the food was good. I am from out of town and wanted to take my mom to have a nice dinner. We had the best experience ever! When you drive up, the first impact are the amazing views! Forget "nice", its breathtaking. You can see all the way to Manhattan and we caught the sunset... So, I thought the quality of the food would be mediocre at best. It seemed like those "tourist traps" and was I in for a surprise..! My mother and I got the appetizer special of the day, and a Shirmp coctail. Both were delicious. The Shrimp was very fresh and enormous. Then we ordered the special fish of the day. All I can say is that it was extremely delicate, and just way beyond my expectations. Overall, it exceeded all of my expectations by a long, long shot. I highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

I was brought here as a surprised birthday celebration. Is a wonderful place to get all dressed up for a special ocassion. Great atmosphere & ambiance. Fabulous food and great wine list. You can follow up in another spacious room and sit by the fire place to enjoy a gracefully aged cognac with your significant other. I felt like I traveled away to a distant Exotic Place. The decorations and view were simply breath taken. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I truly enjoyed it and would recommend it for anyone to go there. Is the type of place you want to be taken to, not go on by yourself. A little pricy but worth every penny. Its a gorgeous place. You can end the night on a Horse n Carriage Ride. The scenery is very beautiful & romantic.

Unes vistes impressionants de tot New York.

The view from West Orange all the way to New York City is spectacular. The food is not so spectacular. Not bad, but not spectacular. I began my meal with a watermelon soup that was a bit weird, but not in a particularly good way. My wife had a seafood sampler, which she enjoyed a lot. My entree was some fish, which was good, but not great. My wife had some soft shell crab, which was quite good. The best serving of the dinner was the rosemary bread brought out with the water. All in all, nice view, nice food, but not worth the price.

We just held our wedding reception at the HighLawn and although the process leading up to the reception was painless with our coordinator Christopher Gellings, I had no idea how much easier and more amazing it was going to get. Our day was flawless, with staff surpassing every expectation at every turn. I am so gracious for their love and compassion. My guests commented it was the fanciest wedding reception they had ever been to and the people brought it to a next level. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I enjoy the view, alas the service is just ok. And just ok isnt good enough for a high end restaurant. The views are fabulous, but the dining room lights reflect on the glass. Dont take a reservation after 9 because the staff will rush you; not good. And once the dining room empties ALL you hear is the clanging, banging of the plates in the kitchen, sounds like a diner! If they could match the service at their sister restaurant it would bring the place to five stars

If you need the ultimate atmosphere, whether to impress family, woo a client, celebrate an anniversary or even a marriage, this is the place in North Jersey. Unbeatable view of the NYC skyline (you can see fireworks on July 4), excellent food, great wine selection, attention to detail all around. Desserts defy description. Its a once or twice a year treat that will make you wish you could go back more. (And if you can afford to, you should!)

This place is beautiful with amazing views. Had a very pleasant experience here and my taste buds just want to go back. Valet parking, awesome service, beautiful views, great wine selection and best of all, the food. Oh the food. You can tell special attention was paid to each meal and serving. The seafood platter was a great choice of appetizer. I will return.
