I honestly thought La Scarpetta was just some pizza joint in a strip mall. Man, was I wrong! We had a fresh mozzarella platter; the cheese was so fresh and the Prosciutto was paper-thin; absolutely delicious. I ordered angel hair carbonara with chicken and my eyes damn near rolled back in my head! My daughter, who turned me on to the place, ordered her favorite, the angel hair with vodka sauce and shrimp-so amazing! I am officially obsessed with this hidden gem! Chef Ernesto is a master at his craft.

This place is NOT some over the top delicious italian pizzeria restaurant. I called to place an order and got hung up on by their rude staff member. My daughter has eaten in their restaurant on myriad occasions and has said that they are over priced for what they are serving. I will NEVER order from this place again. I feel bad for the owners, they really need to field who the hell they are hiring.

Food is indeed good. However, their young staff who takes orders are just too young and lack basic training! Every order is consistenly incorrect. This has been on-going for years and it impacts their take out order business tremendously, which most as in town would agree. They really need to be more hands on in the front.

Very good food and excellent staff! I dine here frequently and never disappointed. The food & service is very good and always friendly. Try the penne w/vodka sauce and eggplant rollitini as a few cant miss entrees. Salads & homemade bread are delicious. Always a pleasure to eat here. You will not be disappointed.

Pasta from a box, cheese from a bag, over cooked, lacking flavor. -blah. Service was decent, friendly, and welcoming. Service did not make up for the food. Mediocre at best. If you want volume and cheap it will work, but my bet is theres much better Italian a stones throw away. It is Jersey after all.

BEST meal Ive had !!!! Bowtie Salmon w/ peas & lite cream sauce. mmmmmm They make their own bread which is incredible. I ordered garlic bread not knowing their house bread was so good. Garlic bread deliscious as well. Very nice phone service & delivery. Thank you

We took my mom there for New Years Eve dinner. The food was great. Our waitress was great. The owner and staff are always very friendly. Its my moms favorite restaurant.
