Well let me tell you all something that happened tonight JULY 20, 2017 at the Washington Diner Route 31, Washington,NJ We went to eat there after an auction to grab a bite to eat, we sat next to Oxford,NJ paramedics who stopped in to grab something to eat. While we were getting our food served to us a waitress comes running over to the table next to us and shes yelling "are guys paramedics theres a guy who passed out on the floor in the back room"( they didnt even get their dinner at this point)they jump up and go assist the customer, they are all gone from their table working on this guy, in the mean time their dinner comes out, so of course all their food is getting cold because their gone so long assisting this guy. They finally get this guy stable and come back in and say they have to go they cant eat their food they got another call to go on, WELL WOULDNT YOU KNOW the manager on duty MAKES THEM STAY AND PAY THEIR BILL!!!!!! MIND YOU THEY JUST HELP A CUSTOMER OF THE DINER AND THEY JUST SAID THEY HAVE ANOTHER CALL,THEY DIDNT EAT THEIR FOOD AND HE MAKES THEM STAY TO PAY THEIR BILL and OH I GUESS HE FEELS BAD BUT GIVES THEM 50% OFF THEIR BILL!!!!!!! AND THEIR VOLUNTEERS!!!! I HOPE ONE DAY HE NEEDS THE PARAMEDICS IN A HURRY! Heres a shout out to all of yas at Oxford paramedics "Hi five Oxford paramedics you guys should get free food every where!!!!! " DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR, BOY COT WASHINGTON DINER!!!!!!!!!

This was just an average diner....I ordered the food and was quick to see some dirt on one of the plates. The portions were ok, but you didnt take some food home, unlike the little diner down the road on the same side, Now that is a Diner! Quaint little atmosphere, old town people talking about everything. Reminded me of The Happy Days and Andy Griffith shows. Food was terrific and service was fast, pleasant and portions you could not finish. I left the best for last.....prices are half of what Washington charge. Check it out! I found me a new place, wont ever go back to Washington!!

i left my bag there. im crippled and depend on others to carry my things and help me to walk. a huge shopping bag full of things needed to get ready for my daughters graduation. $22 organic toothpaste $12.50 organic mouthwash $5 toothbrush $60 hair straightener $15 new cheap shoes, my fav bra n old shorts.GONE!!! manager says nothing was brought to her attention. NEVER WILL MY FAMILY, FRIENDS, OR I WILL EVER EAT THERE AGAIN. PLUS THE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE. I GOT HEARTBURN. IVE NOT HAD HEARTBURN SINCE PREGNANT WITH MY NOW 19YR OLD.

The meal was long time in comingfor the pannis and they burnt the tops of the bread. The fish dinner was okay but the waitress didnt have condiments ready. No hot sauce or tartar sauce. No Cole slaw either. The open face Turkey was delicious and the mashed potatoes were creamy. I had tapioca for dessert. I liked the waitress it was not her fault that the condiments were not available. We were here once before and the meal was fantastic so we were at a loss to why it was so bad. It was not crowded.

Just stopped here for lunch around noon. Its got the typical retro diner theme. It was a nice place id say. I gave it 4 stars because the food was pretty good, good pricing, and I thought a fairly attractive crew of servers. It seemed like they were all limping though. Anyway, the con, well the booth we sat at was kind of small for my 6 foot 3 self. Lastly, somebody did mention dirt on their plate. I did notice that our plates had a few dings that could be confused for dirt. But we were all dirt free.

I stop in this place a few days ego just to get a soup what they call a cup of soup but I can not call that a cup, five spoons and I was done, when I got I can notice that she let the soup all over the cup, no napkin, no crackers and when I mention she said oh probably when I was serving it got all over, what? this is the way they serve? on top of that they charge me $2.50, so thats is for me I never never will stop there again

After reading the other reviews I was hesitant on going in. They only had a 3.9 rating. But the stomach was talking so we stopped in. Dont understand the low rating. Service was great, our server was on point, and manager was very Courteous. The food was excellent and your not leaving empty. Portions are more than enough. Chef special comes with soup,salad, and desert. I like this place and Ill be back!

Sunday. 9am. fast service. 2 eggs over medium, black coffee, hashbrowns, turkey sausage, brand muffin. Eggs were runny, coffee was iky. sausage barely tolerable. hash was plain, drab and under cooked. Muffin was amazingly delicious! it was served halved and toasted. very fresh and so good even with no butter. wont be back tho, crazy that people tolerate the food being served here.

The food quality is great. The atmosphere is 1960s Diner which brings back memories. And, the portions are generous enough to get another meal out of your dinner. Look for the specials menu which includes soup, salad, bread sticks, your entree, and choice of dessert. You cant beat this deal! When you walk in you feel like you belong, even if youre not a local.

Its hit or miss here. Really large portions and good desserts, but the meals have been inconsistent. Basic stuff is ok, but they end up having some odd flavor combinations when they try to get fancy. Maybe it was just too much generic sauce on my last stir fry....But the flavor was really off. Ill try them again for breakfast.

foods ok. hard to get to if coming from north on 31. hard to park. has to be accidents there its insane. its clean and seems built or renovated more recently than another but food is average. not the best diner in town. waitresses are always attentive and kind. heard the owner is a jerk from several employees no longer working there

Used to go there 3x a week for got very back raw chicken one night hair in food one manger was a pervert flurt with the waitress he is gone now big thing quality went down the give u big portion but pot luck if h get sick owners a Greek just want money there other dinner on rt 22 is much better

It was our go-to place to eat, but since the old chef left, we dont really like the food. Theres not much flavor to it, & its either under or over-cooked. I love the waitresses & the owner is friendly as well- please get a new chef or train this person in the ways of seasonings lol.

This is a cozy dinner. The prices are good and the wait staff is very friendly. The food was typical for a dinner with no complaints on the food. I was there with a larger group and our food came out fast and tables were arranged to accommodate our group.
