This is easily the worst restaurant Ive ever been to. First the atmosphere is not conducive to a high quality experience. They charge premium prices, The bread that they brought to the table was stale. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was rubbery and old. The waffles were somehow burnt and ice cold at the same time. The wait staff did not come to check up on us for 40-mins. They could have made things right if they didnt ignore us. My wife and I split her $20+ artichoke pasta dish out of desperation which was at least edible but not very good in its own right. The waitress was completely unsympathetic and seemed confused when we said that we didnt want to pay for our meals. She retrieved the manager who was not briefed as to why we were upset before coming up to us. He made us re-explain our experience and then said that he thought I was fine with the meal because I was talking to my wife and because I saw him earlier in the night. I have no idea who he is by the way so I dont know how me looking at him would have meant anything. Thankfully, they did allow us to only pay for our drinks. It wasnt much of a win though since this is the only food available at the resort and we went to bed hungry. Even though we were upset we were sure to tip extra on our smaller bill. As we got up the waitress chased us down to accuse us of not paying. This was odd since she was the one who swiped our credit card for payment. Maybe she thought the bigger tip was supposed to be the full payment? Anyway it was a perfect end to our crappy evening at Kites. The manager needs to do a much better job. It really is unacceptable this level of service. They need to brush up or at least lower their prices because the prices dont even come close to what you get.

Had possibly the worst dinner experience ever at Kites last night. Got there at 8:30pm on a Saturday and the place was empty. Mhhh... We got to pick our seats and then proceeded to choose our meals. The crab cakes were fabulous. Then the dinners came out. From the $12 kids menu: personalized pizza was totally cold, soggy and chewy. It was supposed to come with fresh fruit, which we had to ask for and when it came it was two day old mushy cantaloupe. My husbands short rib grilled cheese came out on a bun together with a flat beer. The tap was broken so they said, they have to fix it. The meal was sent out wrong. No short ribs, no grilled cheese. My angus burger came with a tiny piece of lettuce, a half a slice of tomato and a piece of onion the size of a quarter, just enough for one bite on the same bun my husband had, a plain old bun, not seeded as described on the menu. Everything was dry and tasteless. The fries were soggy and cooked in old oil. TO top it, we were supposed to receive a complimentary dessert for all the mishaps. Once it came out, it looked sweaty as if it was sitting from defrosting somewhere. So the fresh special dessert chocolate pops were not fresh at all. My daughter took the first bit and spat it out. I have never seen my kid spit out chocolate. Next, my husband took a bit, spat his out and started laughing. It tasted nothing like chocolate but rather like freezer-burned cardboard. WOW!!! What a slap in the face. We thought we were going out for a nice dinner but should have read the reviews first. When I looked at the menu today the prices were different than what they charged us yesterday. They actually raised the prices and dropped in quality.

We had dinner reservations for a party of 8 for 7:00. By 7:15 / 7:20 our whole order for appetizers and dinner was in. Appetizers took almost half an hour to come out. They were alright, but all were ordered were two orders of wings and fries, so it really shouldnt have taken so long. Dinner took almost 45 minutes from the time we got out appetizers. We didnt get out dinners until after 9:00, which is completely ridiculous considering we ordered 6 burgers and 2 flat breads. Then, the vegetable flat bread (which was flat bread with some raw zucchini) had a hair in it, so it had to be sent back. After that, one of the women bite into a burger and what she thought was thick lettuce turned out to be a piece of wax paper. The burgers were alright, but when you charge $13 for a burger a pickle and some cole slaw would be a great idea on the plate. The manager did apologize for the food issues. When we asked him why our dinner took an hour and a half to be served he blamed it on a party of 20. Basically telling us we got put on the side burner. We were there on at Tues at 7:00pm and the restaurant was not even half full. For the prices they charge, the food and the service was mediocre. I would never recommend this place or even attempt to go back. I actually think we would have had better food and service at the diner down the street.

This place brings incompetence to new lows. The food is decent but the service is easily the worst and slowest that youll ever see. If this place existed anywhere other than in a resort where they have a captive audience, it would gone out of business in its first month. Had lunch one day and waited 50 minutes. Looked around and we were one of three groups in the whole restaurant. The next morning figured Id try take out to see if that would be any better.....nope!!! 53 minutes later we got our food. Again, food is good but when we get to our room, they didnt include any salt, pepper, syrup, ketchup, sugar, etc. This despite the fact that we ordered pancakes, waffles, omelettes, and coffee. Whoever manages the place isnt fit to manage his or her way out of a three sided room, much less a restaurant. Fix this guys - you want to call yourself a premier destination? Get rid of clowns like this just kill your customers experience!!!!

Never in my life have I been so mistreated at a restaurant. Upon arrive a security guard told me that one of the bartenders would not serve me and that I had to wait for another. When I asked the bartender why all she said was "I know your not talking to me" I had no idea who she was or why the hostility. I later tracked down a manager to try and clear this up because I thought she was mistaking me for someone else all I got was an overly fake smile and "Ill look into it" nothing was ever done or explained to me in which now I had to take it to contacting the better business burro after overhearing the bartender making threats to her co worker about me. Just wanted to post on here that the staff is totally incompetent and unprofessional.
