I was very happy when i found this bakery so close to my apartment complex. So, i went there to order my sons birthday cake (with a solar system theme) in December. The front desk ladies who were helping me with my order were very nice & helpful. But it took them a lot of efforts for them to convince the baker inside (probably). They clearly looked embarrassed at some point. However, the cake didnt taste good at all. It was very very dry. Also, it didnt look good too. Overall, it was amateurish job, didnt meet ant expectation.

$3.99 for a tiny bear claw? If I had known they doubled their prices I would never have come back here. Yes it was pretty good but the ancient workers were slow and I get the feeling they charge whatever they feel like depending on what you look like. Is that even legal? No prices posted and seem to remember they never charged me the same price twice in a row when I used to come here regularly a few years ago. Time to find a better local bakery- this place is for friends of the owners only.

First, to those that believe Et Gud is expensive go to DunKin Donuts (I probably did not spell it right because I will not take in empty calories for substandard food) ; that said, Et Gud is exception. I have lived in this town since I was married 32 years ago and hands down it is one of the best bakeries in New Jersey. Unfortunately , it is not sexy and therefore, overlooked. If more people knew about it, there would be lines out the door.

Your best bet here is the breakfast items: danish, melt-aways, bear claws, taschen, and so on. They are always fresh and delicious. I dont buy loaves of bread here, but the dinner rolls have been good. Other stuff is unremarkable -- the cookies and cakes, etc. But its the breakfast stuff that you come to this place for -- its the best in town.

Beware - Eat Gud sells day old bread as fresh . When I told them about the stale loaf that I purchsed the day before, they replied that they could not give me a replacement loaf. I guess it would have broken the bank I WAS a regular customer as well. I can;t beleive that they did NOT stand behind thier product.

Great traditional bakery with friendly staff! Donuts, cakes, cookies are always good. I got my wedding cake from Eet Gud in May, and we were thrilled with it. We got so many compliments on both the look and the taste of the cake.

I Ordered a cake for a private party. Got the cake home and it was stale. I was told it was just made fresh that day. Ended up throwing it out. The only thing fresh was the icing. Cake was about a week old. Waste of money.

The smell alone, as you walk in, will have your mouth watering. Staff is always pleasant and the donuts are to kill for. Worth the ride. My mouth is watering just thinking about their products. A++

My sister had them delivered to Fl. from when she was visiting, N.J. The trolleys and cream donuts are the bomb! Even a few days old, I would take THEM over fresh Fl pastries . YAY! Thanks , sis!

Bought a dozen donuts on sunday morning. They were stale. Word around town is they dont make fresh donuts everyday. Quality has gone down. Also need to liven the place up a bit.
