Where the music scene lives in Trenton! Well half of it anyway. The other half would be at the Mill. But Champs is definitely the better half. The stage is bigger and they even have a SNES, N64, AND the Sega Genesis right at the bar! I drop in for a brew after work and get my classic game on all the time lol. Champs has an all around better vibe than many other places. Not that the Mill is bad but I live a block away from the Mill and Id still go to Champs lol. The staff and company are all very chill and friendly and theyre all musicians, artists and modern day philosophers. The drinks are good and the beers are ALWAYS cold. Favorite bar by far, Champs gets 5 stars!

The bar is located in a bad part of town. The parking is terrible. There is only one good bartender. The rest are completely inexperienced, unprofessional, and take way too long to serve drinks. This has been the case on multiple occasions. The shows are overpriced. The bathrooms are vile. The food is garbage and served on paper plates. If drink prices were cheaper then this bar wouldnt be as bad but it costs way too much considering everything else about this place is awful. If youre going out to drink in Trenton then go to The Mill Hill instead.

Hail the return of the Trenton punk scene! This place is not what it says on the label by any means. When I walked in I was reminded instantly of the old City Gardens punk venue that was once the lone outpost for people with no particular place to go in Trenton. There are beers for sale, books to read on the walls, the entire place is covered in band stickers or graffiti, and it feels like home. This is the basement hangout you wish you could have been invited to when you were seventeen. Low key, no aggro.

Go to location for all things art in the region. National, regional and local live performances of various genres. Large draft beer selection. Attached package goods store. More of a community meeting space than a "bar" lots of community events happen here including free used books, bicycle rides and more. No food is served here however ordering from local business is encouraged. Helpful, friendly staff. Eclectic mix of patrons from all walks of life.

My local watering hole. Nice selection of draft beers. Gathering and meeting place for Artists of various genres and those who appreciate Art in many forms. Local and regional touring music various genres, more towards rock, punk, metal and hip hop. No food however ordering in is allowed and the surrounding comminty offers various options including Jamaican, Guatemalan, Mexican, Asian national fast food retailers, pizza and bodegas.

This place is in Trenton which can be scary... but awesome bartenders and patrons make it worth it. Open to all - in an environment where you dont have to wory about any type.of discrimination / isms. Great live music at the backstage - definitely an awesome "Dive Bar"

Came here for friends kids band live performance!! The neighborhood is not a safe area. The bar is OK. It features live band music but most of the bands are rookies. It doesnt mean they are not good but it just has no guarantee for quality!! One time is good enough!!

Dive bar in gritty, crime prone area. Street parking. Live music hosted in the back room by a separate promotion group. Dirty and loud. Attracts lower class clientel.

Champs is best bar in the city to catch a rock show. Bunch of graffiti, art and character reminds me of the rock clubs of NYC in the 80s.

Went to the bar, beer was warm. Bartender was a complete jerk when asked if he had cold beer. Never going back.
