Bacari is seemingly a good restaurant with top class service and food. Unfortunately, my family and I had a very negative experience recently. We went to Bacari for my mother’s birthday dinner. Everything was fine until shortly after we left - serious food poisoning struck both my mother and I. We had the same food - and shared the results. My mother and I were sick for the next few days with terrible cramps and sickness. The morning following the dinner we immediately contacted the restaurant, as they should be informed. Surprisingly, the responses were sarcastic and uncaring. The restaurant proceeded to blame us stating they “believed it was a stomach virus.” It was not, it was Staphylococcus aureus. My father works in the food industry and stated it was a clear case. This happens, unfortunately, but the responses from John at the restaurant were just unacceptable and to the point of pandering such as this: “If you knew me, and I felt as though we were negligent in some type of way, not only would I reimburse your charges, but I would personally deliver to your home a basket of gifts filled with sincerity.” Why would he state that about gifts? Of course he would not reimburse anything in the end and thats all that was needed. Strange behavior - we just wanted them to make up for such a bad experience.

The Bacari Grill is always packed for dinner, and the menu prices can be steep. But leave it to a local to give you the inside scoop on how to hang at Bacari without breaking the bank. Head to the bar (first come, first serve) for a glass of wine and if you are lucky enough to grab a seat, order an appetizer. The apps arent overwhelmingly pricey, and certainly fit the bill in terms of quality. Get a shareable pizza and the mussels and people watch. Just dont be too offended by others standing around stalking for your seats. This is a great place to come for a quick drink if you arent in the mood for a full, expensive dinner. Unless you are in the mood for that - in that case, enjoy, and make a reservation!

Always an issue here .... do you take reservations or not ? This seems to be a changing policy. We were told no then showed up for our anniversary and they turned us away ( at 6pm with many empty yet reserved tables) food and atmosphere might be good but gotta take care of people. :(

Nothing is ever amazing, but its never, ever bad. Have been here many times for work luncheons, and enjoy my meal every single time. No small feat, given the wide array of food types. Youd think something would be a reach, but yet it never is.

If youre not a regular dont expect good service from the bartenders. Downright nasty.. thought she was going to throw our food at us. Reminds me of the bartender from "Shameless" so if you want abusive service then this is the place for you.

Theres not much to complain about. The food is excellent and the place is kept immaculate. Definately try the Nutella Chocolate Mousse cake for desert. It is unbelievable, but for some reason never on the menu.

The food, and service was very good, but the place can use some refreshing. Dusting off the cobwebs from the chandalier, cleaning ceiling tiles, and a fresh coat of paint would revitalize the place.
