I had heard about this place for years, and always wanted to try it. Finally made it over on a rainy Thurs. night. The parking lot was full...usually a good sign. The interior is rustic with an unpretentious atmosphere. Not a real big place, but it has a nice sized bar with tables along the wall. Its the type of place thats sort of a throwback to another era...in a good way. They play nothing but classic rock on the speakers, which is to my taste. It was not easy finding 2 seats at the bar. We stayed with the basics with the food...their burgers and wings are very good. I dont know if their wings are "the best in NJ" as some have said, but theyre certainly very good. Drink and food prices are reasonable, and the service was good. This place has plenty to recommend it...I would come back for sure.

In my opinion this is definitely a place to avoid when visiting town. The staff and customers have the locals only mentality and are extremely unwelcoming. Ironically I am local and have visited establishment from time to time over many years and even know some of the staff and still dont get a welcoming reception. During our last visit, besides the unpleasant look we received from the bartender, we were barked at as we approached the bar, something about the seat being taken by customers that were outside smoking. I guess they dont want the business or money from people they consider outsiders. Do yourself a favor and stay away, there are plenty of other places with better food, service and atmosphere.

This bar aint for just anybody. This is truly for only the coolest types. A lot of locals and alot of interesting shore types that know how to relax. Dont expect a long discussion with the bartenders because they have no time. The food is awesome , the girls are hot and often stumbling out of the bar, and the guys are on the tougher side. But this bar is not dangerous.Its just a salt of the earth , real life sample, and a relaxing bar. I have met Opera lovers, actors, fishermen, contractors, Wall st wizards, married couples, and writers here. You dont want to miss the wings or the burgers or me when you meet me there.

Went for Tuesday wing special they were ok I ordered shrimp in the basket Price was 18 bucks which I thought was high. Waitress said you get a bunch of shrimp . Order was 6 medium frozen breaded shrimp an 2 were overcooked or previously cooked and sent back. Those shrimp anyplace else even at the Jersey shore are 10 bucks tops. Very disappointed I knew Kinda and her deceased husband when they first bought the place 30 yes ago. I dont think they make another 30. Maybe 5

Ive been going to the broadway for 20 years plus and it used to a great place with great food. The last several times I went there was repeated problems with the food. Once the manager insisted that my burger was Med well done which is what I asked for even though it has mostly uncooked soggy ping meat through 3/4 of the thickness. That wasnt the first time there was a problem but it was the last. The food is nasty. I will never go again. Tom

Really disappointing! Always used to love this place but havent been there in awhile. This time staff wasnt very pleasant, food took forever to get even though they werent busy, and the burgers reminded me of school cafeteria food, smaller than they used to be and slapped on a generic white untoasted shoprite bun. Sorry to say I wont be returning.

The bar used to be a good place, friendly and good specials. Since they fired everyone , bar tenders, servers and the cook the place has gone down hill. Higher prices and bad food. I guess they wanted to make more money. Now its just a place to drink. We will not go back.

Eclectic. "It is what it is" as their motto. Serves up some of the best wings Ive ever had, roasted clams, BLT, and the list goes on. This is the kind of place you shelter to weather out a storm, where everyone has a story, perfect for a writer like me.

Awesome little local hangout. My wifes been going here since 1999 and still has amazing food. We will be going back because, a) great drink prices, b) the wings are killer, and c) the staff is very friendly!

Nice layed back bar with pretty good food. My table had most of the platters and they were pretty good. The French dip was the best thing I tasted. I also heard that the burgers are very good and juicy.

The place has some great history to it. The food is excellent whether its a burger or a steak but I suggest anything from the bar grill. The drinks are cheap and the service is good.

Great little secret spot to hide out! They open early in the morning and have package goods so you can get beer for a day of fishing before any liquor stores open.
