After hearing about David & Sons I finally got to try it yesterday, 8/19/17. It was a dismal experience. Heres what transpired. We were headed to Cowtown for the rodeo so I called at 5pm to order and arrange for pick up at 6pm. I arrived at 6:10pm. It took 10 minutes waiting for my turn at the register. I paid, but my order wasnt ready. It happens, no big deal. When I was called to pickup (now 6:25) I took my order aside to check the contents. It wasnt correct. My order included two SLOW SMOKED SHAVED BRISKET platters, which should have included 4 sides. There was only one side. The two red-neck eggrolls were also missing. I patiently waited on line again, pointed this out, returned the bag, waited 5 minutes and the bag was returned, with apologies and two large cookies on the house. Mistakes can happen, but I felt it was corrected and all would be well. I left happy but foolishly I didnt recheck the contents. When we opened the food later we immediately noticed there were only two sides, not four. Ugh. Even worse, the shaved brisket wasnt shaved. Instead, each platter had 3 thick slices (about 1/2" each), and the meat was cut WITH THE GRAIN, NOT ACROSS THE GRAIN, which made it very stringy. Not acceptable!!! (but the bark on the brisket was great!) The plastic knives provided werent powerful enough to cut through it. We resorted to eating with our fingers and tearing at the meat. It was so stringy, we ended up dumping half of it and bought food at the rodeo. - $35 into the trash. The redneck eggrolls and coleslaw were good; the mac & cheese was poor; the cookies were good.I live an hour away and dont expect to be in the area again soon so this is probably the only time I will ever try it. Too bad. The reviews make me think my experience is not all that unusual. If you go, I hope you have a better experience and, be sure to check every detail of your order, including the content of the closed boxes, before paying/leaving. D&S - I hope you get your act together.

I have been here twice now in less then a month. Its so good. This place is perfect for your barbeque craving. Its not cheap but the quality is well worth the price. Its situated in a strip mall type establishment and I cant imagine having to work next to it everyday with the strong smell of barbeque. I guess it could be a blessing and a curse especially for the gym!! Theres limited seating and I highly recommend you plan on take out for home. Definitely not a eat in your car kinda meal. Also I recommend calling ahead to place your order. And definitely check double check for accuracy. They gave me the wrong order my first visit and my second visit my order for Fried Pickles wasnt in the bag. They were extremely busy and there wasnt a clear direction of who was supposed to be doing what. They appear to be family run and are local so its easy to get over them being busy and making mistakes because we are all human and it appeared like they were trying but were obviously overwhelmed. Bring your appetite and your patience its worth the wait.

It was very refreshing when David and Sons opened (it wasnt another pizza joint!!). But D&S could be a case study that a great product (the food is very good) just wont win in the long run if the customer service sucks (which it does). First of all, every time I go in, the bill is more than the what Ive got from the menu from the last time - seems like they raise prices monthly. I get that youre going pay more for premium food, but $20 for a lb of brisket, really?? Even at that I almost wouldnt mind if they get the order right, but they screw up the order every single time!! $20 for brisket and BBQ sauce, yet they forget the BBQ sauce every time. Always seem to take about 45 minutes to get your order. Once waited 10 minutes at the counter while the counter staff was out back smoking. If youre going charge premium prices, you should strive for premium service to go along with it.

Great food, pricy, but worth it. Want to give a 5 star rating, but the restaurant appearance killed it for me. I went in at 1 pm and Tables and chairs were bunched up in a corner like they hadnt opened yet, I was eating in and had to wait for a group to leave before I could sit in one of the two available tables. No one came out to clean it either, but I survived. Took over 15 mins for a single primerib sandwich, I was on my way to complain when it was coming out of the kitchen, understandable if its busy, but only one other customer in the dining room. The meat display also could use some love, you got fantastic cuts of steak and options but not visually appealing. I just hope they get their act together, I still havent given up hope.

I decided to try David and Sons two nights ago and I will never go back. The sandwiches did not have what the menu said they would have on them. I also asked for one without coleslaw and they didnt put it on either sandwich. Secondly, I asked for regular macaroni and cheese, which I got two orders of, and my mom said it didnt taste right. I just went to heat the other container up to give it a chance and there was a chunk of lobster in it!!! I am allergic! I work in the food industry and cross contamination happens but not like this. I am so glad I had to heat it up or I would have never known. 40 dollars worth of food wasted. Will never go back not worth it.

Just for the mouthwatering smells! Have gone back a couple times now since my initial review, and every time the meats are as mouthwateringly delicious as the last. Their burgers are quite good. But where they really shine is with the smoker. The brisket! The smoked tenderloin! The ribs! They also sell uncooked fresh and aged steaks, which I havent tried but which look top notch. In addition, the sides arent bad, particularly the roasted Brussels. All in all, Davids has become my go to for BBQ and when I have a real taste for meat.

This is the first review Ive ever written in my life but after the sandwich I just had leave a good review. I had the turkey brie avacado sandwich . The turkey was plentyful and perfectly Smokey, the brie was melty and rich, and the avacado spread really tied every thing together. The sandwich was massive and came with what seemed to be homemade chips which were also good. They even gave me free lemonade which was perfect on the 93deg day. I highly recommend David and sons, I will be coming back for sure.

raw hamburgers and forgotten orders. Just had a luncheon at work. Took one bite of my burger and its raw. Everyone had to put their burgers in the microwave to cook them. The last time we ordered from them for a work event they forgot several items on the order, so people had to go with out. I have to say 2 out of the three times we ordered things have been wrong. I will not be going back. See the pic
