This place was legendary for the tasty and authentic Pho for decades. However, since the current management/owner took over a few years. its hit or miss. Mostly misses, some downright bad. Take the Pho: Meat is not fresh. No raw meat. Small amount of meat with big bowl of MSG soup. Passable but not something Id call enjoyable. The fried spring rolls used to be a legendary too. They were homemade and super tasty (each order comes with six). A few months ago, the owner switched to the prepackaged frozen spring rolls --- you could see the non-freshness (red / orange blob inside). Bean sprouts and the lettuce leaves consistently show brownish/rusty color. The only thing that taste real good is the ice coffee. We have been a customer since 1994. Since a few weeks ago, we decided we will never go back there again.

At first glance, the restaurant looked pretty dirty, but going by the reviews, we hoped the focus would be on the food. We ordered the "fresh" spring rolls which were completely bland and had no lettuce/greens as is typical, and came with a watery, unappetizing peanut sauce. Things didnt get any better with the entrees. The sliced BBQ pork had barely any flavor and didnt appear safe for human consumption. The fried rice contained completely flavorless chicken, shrimp that tasted a bit off, and mixed vegetables that seemed to come from a frozen bag. They couldnt even make a good Thai tea - it was overpoweringly sweet. We barely touched our plates and left before doing significant damage to our digestive tracts. Definitely wont be returning.

This place is unbeliverable! I have been going to this place for the past 13 years and I am still loving it! You will have to try their Spring Rolls, Steam Shrimp Rolls with rice paper, and their meat ball appertizers with the rice noodle bedding. Dont forget to apply the accompanying sauce for each dish and dont mixed it up. It tastes ridiculously good after you dip the rolls into the matching sauce. Most of the noodle soup is good. But I personally enjoy the Steak with Sausage Fried Rice. Its "UN" - believarable after you put the accompanying chili-pepper soy sauce on!!!

BEST Vietnamese Ive had... anywhere! I used to go here EVERY friday - it was the highlight of my week, until my work schedule changed, and now I only get to go occasionally. The Pho is great, and so are the spring rolls. Cant say much about the other food, since Im addicted to the Pho. The NY Times rated this place among their top NJ restaurants of the year... twice! I read about this place in the Times - otherwise I would never have found it. HIGHLY recommended if youre looking for delicious, fresh, traditional Vietnamese Pho. VERY reasonable prices as well.

Fresh and healthy Vietnamese food my ass. Was eating, and the beef smelled slightly off, but I figured that was just because of the broth. Next morning I was throwing up nonstop to the point I had to be rushed to the hospital and given 4 bags of IV fluid since I was so dehydrated. Friend that went with me also had really bad stomach problems. I wouldnt come back if you paid me.

They are thieves! I ordered take out from them. I accidentally left an envelope of cash on the counter, with the car insurance money I was giving to my mother. I called them and they said they didnt see anything. I know I left it there when I paid them, its the only time I opened my wallet. I will never give them my business again, and you shouldnt either!Karma will get them!

Great place ! Great Food ! Great Staff ! I love it when people custom thier Menu to fit your Taste or needs. I go there Once or Twice a Week. Their Food has been consistent always. They have Nice Fruit Shakes and Smoothies too. I usually get the L16 with Beef & Shrimp with Banana Shake. I think the beef Kababs Warpped with Lettuce (L14) rocks too.

First time having Vietnamese food. Saigon came highly recommended from other folks at work. Spring rolls were delicious. I had the Super Bowl (L12) - Grilled pork, fried shrimp, rice/salad. Huge portion, great taste, and reasonable price. Service was fantastic... no complaints there. Minus 1 star only for the 1982 decor.

We have become regulars here. Everything reminds me of my Moms home cooking. The staff is always alert and on point, they have become almost like family. All the ingredients are fresh, and its a great place to take anyone who is interested to try Vietnamese food! Highly recommended!

Best Vietnamese and Pho place in the area hands down. Portions are always filling and great for the price. Egg rolls are also fantastic wrapper in lettuce and dipped in the sauce. Friendly service and tasty food. Definitely recommend, my friends and I come here all the time from Rutgers.

authentic Vietnamese food for an extremely reasonal price. Ive been to many Vietnamese restaurants, this is one of the best in the area, 3 decent size appetizers and 1 main entree (pho) + ice coffees + rainbow ice for $37! All are very tasty, cant beat this place!

I have had gallons and gallons of Pho over the past 9 years. Once a week or so for the first 8, now its a special trip since new job took me away from the neighborhood.

Menu descriptions dont do the food justice - everything weve tried is excellent. The place doesnt try to be too fancy; the focus is on the food.
