Overall, a great Italian restaurant in northern Bergen County. From start to finish the meal was spot on. Went here with some family for an early dinner. They can cater to larger parties (we had 9) as we made a reservation earlier in the week. Great artisan bread served warm with salted butter & an assortment of olives in oil. Bread was so good we asked for 2 more refills throughout the meal. With a party this large, we got to sample almost everything on the menu. Starters: -Mussels in white wine sauce -Artichoke fritti -Panko-crusted meatballs -Burrata (special) -Cavatelli broccoli rabe (pasta ordered as app) -Arancini (rice balls; on the house) Standouts for me were the amazingly creamy burrata with balsamic glaze atop a perfectly fried eggplant & mussels that were cooked perfectly in that broth. Probably some of the reason we went through a lot of bread. The arancini were great - fried perfectly and served with vodka sauce. The cavatelli was a simple but flavorful dish; I wouldnt hesitate ordering that as an entree. Entrees: -Rigatoni pesto -Veal roulade -Veal saltimbocca -Veal milanese -Veal oreganato -Linguini with herb roasted chicken & filet mignon (special) -Mixed seafood pasta (special) My veal saltimbocca was solid; plenty of flavor with a rich sauce. A bit salty if anything. Rigatoni pesto was a very interesting dish with seared tuna & crab meat. I dont much like pesto + fish + pasta but this dish worked & was delicious. Mixed seafood was also a standout - fresh seafood & a good marinara sauce. Portions on the pasta dishes were quite massive. Portions on the meat dishes less so. Not complaining but just an observation. Service was attentive & friendly throughout. The manager on duty came by a few times to make sure we were doing ok which was a nice tough. Like I said, overall a great restaurant! This was one of my longest reviews but this place deserves it!

Went to Pesto Italian Bistro on May 7, 2016 & all I can say is.... UNBELIEVABLE 5 STAR ... The rice balls, hot bread, & salad really set the palate for what was about to grace our table. One entree was the grilled-to-perfection Lamb Chops w/spinach over the best-ever mashed potatoes and the other main dish was Halibut over perfectly prepared risotto w/honey … both were unbelievable & beyond spectacular! And Id be remiss if I didnt comment on the chocolate mousse cake ... "off the charts”! The service & attention to detail was definitely among the finest restaurants anywhere, including NYC, New Orleans, Chicago, East & West coasts. This restaurant is an excellent find and takes BYOB to new heights. It has become an absolute favorite of mine ... you owe it to yourself to try Pesto Italian Bistro in Park Ridge, NJ. Run to it, Dont Walk!!! Going back tonight May 21, 2016 with family to try Veal Chops, Blackened fettuchini with clams, shrimp, etc., and bronzino over risotto ... cant wait!

Me and my family are highly disappointed with the behavior of the restaurant manager. The manager shouted at me and forced me to pay definite percentage of tips as per their wish to the restaurant bill and threatened me that he would call the police if I do not pay that exact Tips. First of all, this can be asked in a polite way but it was not. This is the first time in my life in US, i have ever experienced such a dis-respectful behavior from any restaurant. I will never visit this place again and will not recommend any of my fellow friends and coworkers to visit here.

My wife and I, have dined at Pesto Italian Bistro several times the past month. The service and the food are consistently excellent. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. We really like that Pesto Italian Bistro has ample parking and the restaurant takes reservations for less than six people. During each of our visits at Pesto Italian Bistro, we have had an excellent dining experience and we plan to return often. Max and Donna

Excellent dinner out with my husband. We loved everything about it. Service over the top, food absolutely delicious. Prices so reasonable. BYOB on top of that which we like. Husband usually finds fault with something when we dine out. Not at Pestos! I kind of hate to write this great review as I would like to keep this gem all to ourselves! Too late, best to make a reservation as word is out!

Arrived at 10:30 on a Friday night. Immediately got seating in the bar for two with a 30 min wait for another table. Waiter, Michael, was there in a flash and had our drinks pronto. Appetizers arrived quickly. Food was great. Im giving 5 stars to hopefully bump this place up a bit. It isnt a 2.5 star place. Should be a 3.5 at least in my book.

Manny and his team took very good care of us. We made a reservation and we were glad we did. It was fully of exciting people and the place had a buzz. The food was great -- from the calamari to the veal chop. We would highly recommend. Dont forget your own wine. Salute! Ray Gadd Boise Idaho

Nice place, but small and noisy. They had our reserved table within 5 minutes of the booked time. Food was terrific. Portions are generous. Wait staff was attentive and accommodating of a special order. Its a BYO, so its a great value as well. Highly recommended.

Dine there about twice a month. Never disappointed. Fish specials superb. My wife always orders veal dishes and is always happy. Have brought many friends and that are now regulars. May have to wait a while for your reservation but worth it
