Went here for the first time in about a year and it seems like ownership has changed. The staff, and I believe, the new owner were super nice and accomodating with answering questions and being very helpful. With that said, the lower rating was mainly due to the jump in pricing and that most everything is a la cart now. You dont even get complimentary tea with your noodles and duck sauce before your meal arrives. Also, soup and egg rolls generally dont come with the each meal anymore like they have in the past. Unless you go for the "full" meal which costs $6-7 more than in the past. Food was typical for American Chinese restaurants but I dont believe I will be back anytime soon since there are so many other Chinese restaurants out there that I like.

Go anywhere but here-- drive off the island to get chinese food if you have to. Better yet, go to R.I. Cafe on 14th street (they deliver, their menu is on-line and on facebook, and their service is actually nice!). Weve done take-out here for years-- food is OK, not great, just OK. After tonights rude service, weve thrown out the menu. Got a great meal delivered by R.I. Cafe, the woman taking my order could not have been nicer, delivery was fast. Thumbs up to R.I. Cafe---big thumbs down for Szechwan. Szechwan got one star only because that is the lowest possible you can give--wish I could have given it zero stars.

I would give them no stars if I could. Portions are small. Prices are high. Of greatest concern is their failure to have staff informed of ingredients within food. I specifically inquired about egg ingredients as we have an egg allergen. I was assured what we were ordering did not contain egg, until I went to confirm the order and the person taking orders then actually asked and said that the food we were ordering actually DID have egg. We then had 2 options in the order that were egg free. Then we got our order home and the one option had visible scrambled eggs on top!!!

Typical Chinese food place. All the normal options of rice and lo mein. I cannot comment on the delivery although they say they do. There was a gentleman in, while I was picking up, complaining that it had been a while and he still had not gotten his order. Service has always been good for me and the food is always great. Pleasant staff and quick service. Just make sure to speak clearly when ordering. Dont YELL... Just speak clearly and slow. Definitely worth checking out. -Skyhook

Hey these mother ninjas are the best except when I didnt order beef fried rice. Chinese chick did like a double back flip and high kicked my ass. I woke up and found myself in China fighting my way through the ranks of a dojo. Where I finally defeated the sensei beef fried rice and the grand master won ton he than named me the holy disciple general chows chicken. This place changed my life highly recommend you stop by.

If youve had real Sichuanese food youll be highly disappointed. Ive lived in Sichuan for 2 years. In Szechwan Garden I ordered 2 of the most popular dishes: kung pao chicken and double cooked pork. None of them was even close to the real ones. They taste really weird and the meat feels like overcooked or too dry. I give them 2 stars because at least they have delivery service and they were pretty nice on the phone.

The food at Szechwan is great, but like all things on the island, its a little pricier than what you pay if you just drive over the bridge to Somers Point. But, as I said, the foods very good so if you dont mind paying an extra dollar or so per item its well word it. The foods fresh and well prepared. I recommend it.

we waited over 2 hours for mediocre food that was .6 miles away. after 1 hour we called and asked about progress, they continued to tell us our order was in route. but it had still had yet to arrive. after 2 hours of waiting we got half of our ordered food.

Stopped by here last night while on vacation. The restaurant was super busy and staff was stretched short, wait time was a little long but food was excellent, big portions and the wait staff was polite. Overall would still highly recommend this place.

Very poor delivery. Food arrived 2 hours late and only got half of our order. Called after 1 hour of its original delivery time and was told that the order was en route even though it arrived 1 hour later. The place was also 0.6 miles away.

We waited more than two hours for about 4 dishes. And this place was 0.6 miles away from our house. We tried calling and they told us he was in route. After we tried again to call they stopped answering. I would never order here again.
