Everything about Cool Scoops is like the TV show "Happy Days". The owner named Paul, is like one of the main characters "The Fonz". Why, because he is Mr. Cool himself, greeting folks, and making sure everyone is happy. The décor is fabulous and makes this a destination stop for anyone in the vicinity. As one can see, NY & Hollywood stars, and musicians make this their premiere stop in Wildwood, as does anyone who would know what cool is all about. As for the goods. . . . .The ice cream is what its all about. . . this is premium product. Of course, burgers & frys are on the menu. They have plenty of selection, its all good, and even that finicky vegan in the family can get their coolness here too. (OK - I personally feel vegan ice cream is wrong but they feature it for those special folks like my daughter) Of course there are plenty of cool Facebook or Instagram photo opps in here from the old school seating to the Elvis statue to the classic cars. Nostalgia adorns every wall space from the neon sign outside to the sports memorabilia to the bathrooms walls. Bottom line, YOU ARE GONNA LOVE THIS PLACE !! Milk shake, please ~DELICIOUS !

I was reading a review from Rich. He was pretty on point. I think the atmosphere is excellent but prices are rather high the portions that are given. As far as the owner is concerned, it was the older guy, probably the owners husband, who was rude to me when I was there last year. No one is trying to ruin your business. People have the right to post a sub par review about your ice cream parlor if they feel its necessary. I normally go to another particular popular ice cream parlor in Wildwood. Their ice cream is home made & you get more for what you pay for. If the reviews upset you then maybe you should lower your prices and not take it so personal.

better than ice cream This little jewel of a place is loaded with memorabilia that will keep you entertained. The owners are lovely people and it is obvious that they take pride in their establishment. Sit in a vintage car and eat your waffles and ice cream while marveling at this collection of items from the past. It is a cultural mecca and a delight for a baby boomer to walk thru the place and point remarking "remember that". It is a museum and ice cream parlor in one. A must see!!! Only downside is possibly parking is limited so you might not be able to just pull right up on New Jersey Ave.....although we always are lucky....

Its a nice "Oldies" place; friendly, comfortable and clean. The tables are made from the rear end (Trunks) of vintage chevys, Cadillacs and the like. They also carry remanufactured vintage candies, in their original, back-in-the-day, wrappers. Its a mini Museam, and its free to ice cream customers. I updated their business hours on 9/22/17. They close for Winter, after Clumbus Day. I would have given it 5 stars if only they didnt use such generic, commercial, ice cream. The ice cream is not the best, but the experience is worthwhile. Cool Scoops has gone berserk on all things oldies.

An amazing blast to the past, nifty fiftys ice cream parlor packed with memorabilia. Huge selection of ice cream flavors and options to customize. Prices lean towards the pricier end of $4-$8 but well worth it and fun to eat-in. Employees are super friendly and nice! I asked them a bunch of questions and they responded to the best of their knowledge and if they were unsure, instantly asked a manager or better suited employee. Its a staple of Wildwood.

A fun retro decor that takes you back to the 50s DooWop in a pink Cadillac. The ice cream is good, the service is ok, service with a smile is always important. The pricing is in line with Wildwood area. This place really shines with the interior decor it offers an unmatched experience for enjoying your sweet treat. Limited off street parking is a plus.

Vegan option! Plus fun toppings. My family and I were excited to get vegan ice cream while visiting the beach. Staff was friendly and took care of our non-dairy concerns. They also have a list of the vegan topping and cone options. A little expensive but nice to have an option. Decor is really cute and made our trip enjoyable.

If you are ever in Wildwood, NJ you must stop at Cool Scoops for some awesome ice cream!. The experience of just being in the place alone is worth it to see all the way cool vintage items from the 50s. The owner Paul is a hoot and so damn funny....be sure and say hello to him and have a blast there.

Im giving them 2 stars because although it looks cool in there the people that worked there gave us poor customer service...havent they ever heard the customer is always right? They also get a low rating for expensive ice cream. To add one topping its a dollar which is rediculous.

Wish I could give it more stars. Unbelievably cute place filled with 50s memorabilia. Great ice cream and friendly service. Unanimous vote from myself, my wife, and three daughters >> our new favorite ice cream place (too bad its two hours from home).

Very friendly place. Lovely people behind the counter. We went there on the death of Adam West and they played the original Bateman series on all the classic televisions to honor him. It was bittersweet and the service/ atmosphere was great.

Definitely a real good ice cream shop to visit. Much better than any place on the boardwalk. Super friendly staff and owner. Super cool nostalgic memorabilia throughout the shop. A must visit while in the Wildwoods...

Service was very nice to us. The ice cream is tasty and the ambiance is great. We got to sit in one of the 50s tailfin car booths. The kids loved it. They have their own parking which is very nice too.

Love the glimpses of childhood memories of vintage toys, pictures, records, and events. The ice cream was decadent and served by the family who owns it. A "Must go" attraction.

Amazing place. We went three times during our June 2011 trip to the Jersey Shore. Wife took dozens of photos. Love sitting in the cars. Excellent service as well.
