LS&D is the best kosher deli in central NJ, bar none. That includes the Union, Essex, Bergen, Middlesex, Mercer, Somerset and Lakewood places. Including those on Rte 9 Monmouth. All these candidates are not even close. I would say the best in all NJ but I have not been to all, but it would take some place to beat LS&D. The dinners are great and the over the counter is beyond great. I miss Jesse but the new owner has kept up the standards. Most of the counter and dinner staff are the same. You need to know to ask for hot pastrami to go or you get the lean stuff. Why would you want lean pastrami. The roast beef is perfect. I am not a corn beef guy but my son is and he loves it. The turkey is not dry. The coleslaw and two types of potato salad are wonderful with the turkey. Health salad too. The Sloppy Joes are without doubt the best I have ever tasted. The prepared stuff is great also. The sour pickles are the best, like from old Gusss. The soups are wonderful, especially the mushroom barley and home style chicken. Multiple kinds and styles of knishes, all good. The latkes are not Moms but damn close. And dont for get the gravies. Just the best

I had a hunger for good old fashioned Kosher cooking. When I had the yen for kosher, I used to go to Katzs deli in NYC, but its gotten too trendy in SoHo and I cant stand trendy. I had a hot pastrami on rye with coleslaw and Russian dressing, no swiss, this is Kosher, remember. To start I had the matzoh ball soup which was delightful. My son had a sliced chicken "salad", which was excellent. The tender slices of chicken breast sat on a bed of mixed salad piquantly sprinkled with black beans, very tasty! We both enjoyed the mountain of hot shaved pastrami on excellent rye bread. The kosher dills were crunchy, the half-dills were equally crisp and a treat for the taste buds. I cant wait to go back and sample their wide variety of knishes, the lox, the kugel. But Ive got a mouthful of reasons to return and try some more. They have a counter for take out. Theyll fix you bagel and a shmear to go. Fabulous coffee and desserts to write home about. Yes, Ill be back!

Lox Stock & Deli is our go-to spot for all things kosher. They have an amazing selection of kosher meet, cheese and snacks. Their deli counter is quick to make sky-high sandwiches- try the sloppy Joe. They also have a number of pre-cooked options to take home by the pound or pint from roasted veggies, to salmon, to potato knishes. make sure to try their various salads as well. Prefer to eat in? They have a small dining area complete with a typical deli salad bar with free refills. Lox Stock has a great selection of pareve and dairy cakes and cookies. During passover, they ahve desserts that taste like real desserts! Lox Stock has even catered a number of high-end parties for my family. Our guests always rave about the food and presentation.

I frequently get take-out and catering from Lox Stock & Deli and I have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh, and aside from a full Kosher/Pareve menu, theres a varied selection of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free items if you have other dietary restrictions. A few of my faves are the short ribs, sloppy joes, homemade sweet potato knishes and matzoh ball soup. Lox Stock definitely lives up to its title of Best Kosher Deli in Central NJ!

So you are driving from out of town and you see this nice deli on Google and you walk in and ask where to order and they send you to the deli counter. And then you go to sit down and they say you cant sit down because you went to the wrong counter. But if you make it clear that this is stupid they take back your order, plate it, and serve it to you in the restaurant. And they are doing you a big favor. Not set up for casual or out of town visitors.

Excellent Food! Lox Stock & Deli not only has great food but a pleasure to work with Jesse, one of the owners. Food is always consistently good, generous portions and the wide variety of choices is a plus. Whether it is catered or a meal at the restaurant, everything tastes fabulous!

We had catering after my mothers passing and were very happy with the food, especially the fish platter. They made a mistake and delivered the food late which was a human error but was quite unfortunate. Otherwise it would have been 4.5 stars.

Hidden kosher deli with a dining room. Deli meats, pastries, bagels, and entrees are all available to go. If you dine in, I recommend the Smokey Joe (nova, whitefish, on a bagel) and the unlimited salad bar.

Food is usually good but when it isnt and dare to let them know get ready for excuses by the person in charge instead of contrition, and disrespect by the old woman behind the register.

Terrible value and mediocre food. Chicken fingers with fries was a whopping $13! Ridiculous! Dont waste your time or money here. Service was slow too.
