My wife, My two daughters and I visited Oyster Creek on May 17th 2013. May wife and I had previously eaten at the oyster creek and just loved the food and atmosphere. However this time the experience was a complete disaster. We were greeted by a less then pleasant waitress. When I ordered a sushi rainbow roll she looked at me like I was an idiot and asked me what kind of rainbow roll would i like. She went to the sushi bar to ask what was in the rainbow roll and returned to inform me that the were not Asian and did not make them the Asian way. I then ask for a yellow tail (Hamachi) rainbow roll and she returned with a (Just regular TUNA) rainbow roll.. whatever, the roll was good. After about 30 min, we started asking ourselves," wheres our salads" a few more minutes passed and I approached the waitress and question where they were. She was very un friendly with here response. When she brought the salads she informed me that she was waiting for all of us to finish our appetizer, Whatever. By this time we had been seated for about an hour when finally our main course arrived. My daughter had ordered a simple dish of chicken fingers and fries, the batter was not cooked and was still seeping from the tenders, the fries looked like they were pulled from the bottom of the fry basket.. First Disappointment... both my wife and I had ordered stuff flounder, as we we had our first bit we both commented that it was not as good as the last time. I continued to eat until i bit into something cold. I pulled abour my dish to find that it was severely under cooked, my wife soon discovered the same of hers, at this point my wife had had enough and left the table. I Called our NOT SO PLEASANT waitress over and with great discuss ripped open the dish and showed her that both out long wait for a tasty stuff flounder was cold and un cooked. She asked me if I would like to order something different from the menu. It was Now 9:00 and the last thing I wanted was a longer wait. so I asked to see the manager... THIS IS THE GOOD PART.. a few moments later a rather large man appears at our table, looks like a chef... he stands there for a second and then looks at me and says "WHAT" yep that what he said "WHAT" I told him the we had waited a long time for our meal and then he served me and my wife uncooked fish. He told me that I should have returned it like a normal human being and not throw it all up in the air. Needless to say, they did comp the meal. but the complete event will compel me to tell everyone I know what a terrible experience we had and although I am sure they will not miss my business, I will NEVER VISIT THIS ESATABLISHMENT AGAIN

Really dont know how this place has such good reviews. This was the worst food I have ever had. I ordered my steak medium rare it came extra well done. My mother ordered the seafood platter which was dry and extremely over cooked. We also got sushi which looked and tasted old not fresh, like something you would find in a gas station. Even the salad was nasty and there were flys everywhere. Im really not that picky about food and this was by far the worst meal I have ever had especially for the price. It was a major disappointment and I will never go back. You get better food at Dennys save yourself the money. *Im not bashing you Im telling the truth thats what reviews are for. I was there yesterday and do not want a refund and didnt ask for my food to be re-cooked because I shouldnt have to wait another 30 minutes for it. Sorry but if your going to charge premium prices you should get premium service the first time. Thanks for your response*

Oyster Creek is a locals favorite. The scenery is excellent, the food is even better. During the off season they have great specials, like a fixed price customer appreciation four course menu available on Thursdays that includes my favorite entrée, Chef Scotts Stuffed Salmon. They offer old standards like broiled or fried seafood platters, creative new twists such as Clams Mexicali or Spicy Yellowfin Tuna and perfectly prepared and fresh sushi. In the summer theres great live entertainment in the crab room, too. The crab room is screened in to save your skin from the greenheads. Be sure to liberally apply your off backwoods for the walk in from the parking lot in the summer, though. Still, its nothing to deter me from fantastic food and atmosphere that has been a favorite in my family for as long as I can remember. I love this place and I know you will too!

It was okay. My brother and his wife love this place. They took me there on Sunday Feb 18, my first time. We arrived a little before 3pm and sat at the bar. Wow, before you knew the place filled up quickly! People really like this place and youd never know it was there because its off the beaten track. I truly like the atmosphere, but as far as the food is concerned, my verdict is still out. I had the Oyster Creek Combination (3oz French Fried Lobster, 2 fried Shrimp, and a Crab Cake for $22.50). It had way too much breading on the lobster tail to the point where it had no taste. The shrimp were just okay, but the crab cake had flavor. I dont remember what, if any appetizer we had. Ill go back again and next time Ill try something different, probably an entree thats not fried. Then Ill update my review with the verdict.

My wife and I hadnt been there for a few years and were excited about having the chance to go back yesterday. Unfortunately we were disappointed ...It was busy as always and our waitress had a table of eight along side of us that she was very attentive to, but my wife ordered broiled stuffed shrimp and got fried . She ate it anyway without saying anything. We ordered cups of crab bisque, which was good, but she forgot to bring us rolls, that I did tell her about. When she returned with them she just dropped the basket on the the table like she was annoyed we asked for them. The food wasnt as good as I remembered either . It was bland. Neither of us was happy with the food or service

My wife and I had heard good things about the Oyster Creek, Inn, so checking the website to make sure they had winter hours we made the trip from Pennsylvania arriving about 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2014. As we attempted to enter the restaurant we were told by workers who were enjoying a smoke by the kitchen door that they were closed. This morning when I clicked on "write a review" to enter these comments there was a line about OCI being closed for private party last evening. One does not get that message unless the "write a review" icon is clicked. The regular website had no such warning. Call first. . . . lesson learned.

This restaurant is right down the street from where I live. I stopped in with some friends to check it out and perhaps book it for a party we were having with 20 people. We sat down to read the menu and right away the manager asked why were we sitting there. He demanded (and not in a nice way) we get up and move (even though it was close to closing time and the place was three quarters empty). One of my friends exchanged some words with him outside and we couldnt believe how bad for business this guy is. Of course we booked our party elsewhere. I totally agree with the last two posters. If I were the owner I would fire him immediately.
