YOU NEED TO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!!! My 4th anniversary was tonight. We decided to try out a new place that was getting good reviews. Well, we drove over an hour to get to there and ended up arriving an hour and a half before closing on a Friday night....ouch yes we were that couple most restaurants hate but we had no choice lol. Much to our happiness, this didnt matter one bit. The place was very clean and beautifully decorated. The staff was amazing and I mean AMAZING!! They were not ruffled at all by our arrival so late for a full lazy dinner. The atmosphere in the place was fun and laid back. Our server was VERY knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful in finding us exactly what we were looking for in the food itself and made it so that the food was ready for us when we were ready for it. In no way did we feel rushed or were waiting at all in any way ,shape, or form. The food was the best Ive had in a very long time and we live further up the coast. The Viking village melt made us speechless. It is a tuna melt made from actual fresh tuna! They actually go to that extent to provide the best!! My picky boyfriend went crazy over it! The lobster Mac and cheese was delightful. It had a perfect ratio of pasta and lobster with a cheese sauce that wasnt heavy like most places. The poboy was perfect. The duck wings were wonderful. If you have never had duck wings, please give them a shot. Worth every penny!! The oysters were fresh and crisp and beyond words as was the Oyster Rockefeller. The drinks were well made and not slighted in any way. To top it off, the cook knew it was our anniversary and surprised us with a French toast bread pudding that made my toes curl!! I really wish there was a rating of more than 5 stars because this place has earned it. Well worth every second of the drive to find this jewel of place. It turned an anniversary dinner that was squeezed into busy work schedules into our best night ever in the 17 years we have known each other. I cant thank you enough for the experience we had tonight. You will see us again the next night or day our schedules permit.

Amazing craft beer selection with full bar as well. Started with local Delaware Bay freshly shucked oysters on happy hour at $1.00 each. The freshly grated horseradish sitting on the countertop and cocktail sauce served to order combined with the fresh oysters to fulfill that seaside dining experience I sought. The three of us polished off 3 dozen oysters and then went with the dozen heat and peel shrimp with old bay. I would have preferred the cold shrimp with lemon and cocktail sauce but, spice be damned, the shrimp were good. I was reluctant to go with fish tacos since Im from Phoenix, only 2 hours from Mexico and 6 hits from Baja. I didnt anticipate East Coast tacos being worth writing about. I was wrong. Served on white corn tortillas (thank God, I dispise flour tortilla tacos), the freshly fried fish served with a pineapple habanero salsa provided some bright citric acid from the pineapple and heat from the habanero to complement the fish. My wife went with the Lobster Mac & Cheese that almost tempted me to abandon my tacos. A cheese blend cubed and melted to order with generous portions of lobster turned the staple of childhood dining into a gourmands delight. A small, cozy venue with welcoming staff, Id recommend for a party for a party of 4 or less with the limitation only due to seating.

My wife and I have come here three years in a row during vacation for the nice selection of oysters and drinks and really enjoyed it until today. The experience was fine until we finished our cocktails and were ready for the check; both bartenders would quickly walk past us without making any eye contact or speaking a word to us. After a good five to ten minutes of TRYING to get our check without being rude, we were able to pay. That last ten minutes soured the whole experience, leaving us to wonder what we had done wrong besides peacefully enjoying 100 dollars worth of drinks and seafood between the two of us. I still left a 20 plus percent tip on principle, but I doubt we will return next year it was that discomforting. We have always had a superior experience at Triton oyster bar just another two miles south. I should add; the place was doing good business but was by no measure slammed, as I would be much more lenient regarding their attention if they had been.

You know whats strange? This place was great until literally the last 20 minutes of our visit. The oysters were decent, the drinks were good, and the service was mostly friendly..until all of a sudden all three bartenders just stopped making eye contact completely. We had to wait at least 15 minutes for the bill before someone asked (without eye contact) if we needed anything. We tipped well, we paid up, we were friendly and polite.. But the staff was sincerely and thoroughly rude toward us in the end. I have absolutely no idea what we did wrong, whether there was something the bartenders decided they didnt like about us but being completely rude will not bring us back here. Its still bothering me now! As if we did something wrong?? Next time we will go to triton for oysters. I dont appreciate feeling treated as less than at the end of a visit at a restaurant.

Came for happy hour, pretty decent deals ($1 oysters, $4 wines, $5 beers on tap, and some other good prices.) Menu was varied, with a decent amount of both seafood and non seafood items. Oysters were fresh and delicious, scallops were solid. Beer selection was good, not great. Theyve got a rotating selection of nice craft beers, all good, but nothing particularly adventurous. Cocktails were yummy, if slightly overpriced ($13 for an old fashioned, thats what I expect to pay at a nice place in New York, but the quality here wasnt quite equal.) The bar has a really nice look and feel to it, fun, classy nautical theme. Staff was attentive, but we were confused when we entered, no one really led us to a table or gave any direction about ordering at the bar. Overall, very nice place, one of the best on LBI.

What a great place to dine, snack and hang out with friends. We have been hitting their happy hour for $1 oysters and BBQ Duck Wings. They are our favorites on the menu so far. We get stuck on a thing or two until we try other things :} The staff is always happy to see their patrons and greet them with a smile and are on the job getting you a home brew of some sort. If you sit by the oyster bar you will appreciate the hard work of shucking and get to know Anthony. He is a charmer. Toby and Mike the new owners are doing a great job! Stop by 3-6 daily for a happy happy hour.

This place is a staple for the locals. The restaurant strives to supply locally caught and top quality seafood. The fish and chips, tuna melt, fish tacos and the mussels marina were AMAZING! The prices are reasonable but if your looking to save a few bucks, try to make it there for their daily happy hour (3-6pm) that includes $1 oysters, popcorn shrimp and other drink specials. Overall, the food was delicious and highly recommend this place when down in LBI.
