Weve been going to Mexican Mariachi pretty much ever since they opened. Wow. Its a breath of fresh air to get some really good mexican food along with the most warm and friendly service around. Mariachi is family-owned and run and it shows in everything that they do, and with how well they treat their customers. They are constantly looking to improve and last year they installed a brand new tile floor - it looks just great and compliments the original artwork. Their prices are easily on par or less expensive than most restaurants thorughout the area. The only other restaurants in the area that offer "real Mexican" food (i.e.: not a chain restaurant) are 50% - 75% more expensive for food that isnt as good as the Mariachi Grill. MMG is byob and there are nearby package stores to buy beer, etc. We have traveled a lot throughout Mexico and Central America and tend to like our food on the spicy side. So we just ask them to "kick it up" for us, and the staff is always happy to oblige. I noticed that some people online have commented that they had wished their portion had been more spicy. Just ASK - and they will happily do it for you, but please do realize that they cant just serve everything spicy by default, right? Our absolute favorites are perhaps the fish tacos and steak tacos - they are just so fresh and tasty. The fish tacos are positively off the hook. They wont tell us whats in that special sauce of theirs but it is SO GOOD. The steak tacos are just so traditional, with good sized portions of rice and refried beans, and oh-so-yummy."Pico de Gallo" on the tacos - this is a type of homemade salsa - a flavorful mix of fresh onion, tomato, cilantro, and lemon juice. We often get extra of this and theyll kick it up with some fresh chili if we like. Oh yes, please! :-) The chorizo quesadilla is awesome! Its very rich and flavorful. So well often order one for the table and share it as a side dish, rather than a solo entree. The specials are usually worth a second look. Even if its not "on the special" for that day, they will usually be able to accommodate us when we want to have our "Speedy Gonzales". I cant even describe it but it is GOOD. The burritos are flavorful and huge - that is one big portion. We often get the pork or steak burrito but all of them are good. We usually cant finish these but that is ok - because this is one place where you simply MUST leave room for dessert. The tres leches is simply to die for. It is absolute heaven. The flan is quite good but instead we prefer to get their "impossible" - its a "choco-flan" - a layer of rich chocolate cake with a layer of flan on top of it. If there is only one thing that we wish that they did have, its delivery. Apparently, they are working on this and we look forward to it. But ... then wed miss out on seeing some of the nicest and most hospitable people in the area.

Tried this place for the first time with my husband and 3 kids (ages 2,5,9). We ordered the Mariachi Plate, Fish Tacos, and Flautas and were given the chance to try the "Impossible". The food was perfect, nothing was too salty. We liked the fact that you get salsa and chips to keep the kids busy while the wait for their food. The Mariachi Plate was sized that my kids couldnt finish it between the 3 of them. The Impossible is Flan with chocolate cake at the bottom. Cake was perfectly moist and went great with the flan which had a texture close to cheesecake. My husband typically dislikes flan because its too light and jello like, but liked the texture and taste of this one which is rich and creamy. Definitely will be returning.

Great food and great taste. I found this place about a year ago. I have been to many other Mexican restaurants and none have matched Mexican Mariachi Grill in Hamilton. Finding good Mexican food in NJ has been a challenge. Being raised around great Authentic HOME Mexican Cooking from Mexico and SoCal makes it even harder because it is hard to replicate the flavors of home. I have tried almost everything on their Menu and have not been disappointed. This little whole in the wall has satisfied my taste buds, the service is great and polite to new and old customers. They remember you and make you part of there family.

I decided to try their food is hardbto find good mexican food. I ordered the adobo pork burrito, and it had no taste yet alone adobo taste. It was cold and i ordered it to dine in. They didnt even gove it to me on a plate, it was wrapped and hamded to me. I dont like cold food and its a burrito, the least you can do is give me a palte with it. Also the green salasa was so salty and the red was supposed to be spacy. Well there was not spicy at all. As a hispanic person it was a great disappointment to eat here, and will never come back again....

Called for take-out on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered the chicken Mariachi Trio tacos. The woman on the phone was very rude and told me it was a hassle to leave off the chorizo but that she would do it for me. (Thanks???) I also ordered chips, salsa and two slices of flan. 20 minutes later I picked up my order, paid and left. When I arrived home, I realized she had charged me for the two flans, but they were not in the bag. Also, instead of the chicken I ordered, I received steak. I will not be returning.

Mariachi Grill was a bit steep on the price, borderline over-priced in my opinion, and not very well worth the cost. The tacos were extremely salty and their portions of salsa are very small. A lack of alcohol futher let me down as I was craving margaritas. The service was great, but this place has a fast-food appearance, which was not exactly what I was looking for. If you dont mind paying a bit more for salty foods, than this place is for you!

If you dont mind not getting food your way, or their way for that matter, than its fine. The last two times I went, they forgot to put the beans in the vegetarian burrito, and then, after I specifically asked if the ingredients on their menu is what I could expect, I got a burrito with one of their listed ingredients missing, and a new ingredient that was not on their list of ingredients. ??? #random #0Fu@ksgiven #youlleatwhatIgiveyoutoeat

Wow.. just Terrible. Paid 30 bucks for microwaved food on a plastic plate. Woman was incredibly rude, not to mention had no idea, or didnt care, about the menu. I ordered enchiladas, and she asked red or green sauce, so I asked the difference. She said she didnt know- and didnt have anyone to ask. She laughed and was biting her nails. Unprofessional. Immature. Unsupervised. Unknowledgable. Food sucked.

All the food my boyfriend and I had was fresh and homemade. No pre-frozen or factory-delivered food was evident. They make their own rice (delicious), cook their own beef (my boyfriend called the tacos "knockout," then got up and shook the owners hand - hes picky), and their guacamole is exceptional - fresh and made-to-order. Minimal pricing too.
