Abysmal. Of the 4 burgers the table had 2 of them were obviously made from frozen meat when cooked, they were not cooked to the specified Degree of Doneness. The burgers were asked to be cooked to the order of VERY well done but were cooked to the degree medium-rare and medium. Only the two burgers that were made fresh were cooked correctly. After having one burger remade, it was again frozen meat that tasted even worse. As if it was expiring meat that was frozen and then cooked. Atleast this time it was cooked more to around Medium-Well but not Very Well Done as stated originally and once more. And the fries were hot but also underdone and raw and were mushy and a bit wet. The bathrooms were a mess and after a comment was made to TWO employees of the unsanitary conditions, a half hour later nothing had changed. The floor was not swept or mopped and urinal was still clogged. And on top of this, there were 4 or 5 severs doing nothing or rather checking their phones and sitting about or standing around talking. This should have been the first sign that maybe we should have not gone here but 36 dollars later, lesson learned. The only highlight was our server and even then she never introduced herself and did not give her name. If I could give this failure of a diner a 0/5, I absolutely would. The hostess was smart to stay clear of us and no one asked us as we were paying how were things. That is also a sign of poor consumer service and overall quality when you know the answer will be a negative. And finally, upon exiting one of us had taken a complimentary free cookie. It tasted like it was made with expiring butter. Have you ever tasted expiring butter? Well, if you havent had the pleasure then by all means come to the Park 9 Diner, where disappointment only costs you 36 dollars and an hour of your time.

My wife and I went on a Saturday night at about 10:30PM--prime hours for a NJ diner, but the place was nearly empty. There were literally more staff than customers, which should have told us something. I ordered the classic hamburger and my wife ordered a sliced roast beef sandwich and sweet potato fries. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. My hamburger appeared to be a frozen patty, like you get at the supermarket. I asked for medium well and the center was still quite pink. I would have sent it back, but the server was no where to be found. My fries looked to be machine cut, out of a bag. Not a bad thing necessarily, but they were greasy, barely warm, and not at all crisp. The serving size of the slaw was literally a tablespoon, in a tiny, paper cup. Just as well, as the slaw was dry and flavor free. My wifes sandwich looked OK. It was on wheat toast and was piled high with extremely rare, sliced roast beef. When I say rare, I mean it was oozing blood and cool--not exactly appetizing. Her ordered fries never arrived and again, no server to ask about them. Im not sure how they managed it, but the roast beef was completely bland. It looked like roast beef, but it had no taste. A very uninspired dish. For desert, we had strawberry cheese cake. The serving was huge and we split it. By far, the best part of the meal. The diner itself is quite clean, bright, and feels sterile. Nothing to see here. We wont be going back.

First time ever here, went inside thought the place was very cute and my server was great. Then my boyfriends sandwich came out wrong, not usually a big deal except for the wait for the new one was pretty long. Then we get the shrimp po boy sandwich and after a few bites realize that the shrimp was extra hard. Pulled it apart and saw that the shell was still attached to the shrimp. Then called over the manager, he was extremely rude and didnt even apologize or ask if there was something that could have been done to fix the problem. Literally stared at me with a blank face. So I asked him to remove the food from the table and to remove it from the bill. And then he said but he ate half, meanwhile only the bread from half the sandwich was gone the inside of it was all over the plate. So I get the check and he charged me for half the sandwich, again asked him to remove it and he said he wouldnt because he checked it out in the back and nothing was wrong with it and told us the customer isnt right. Then I told him that I wouldnt pay for that part of the bill and he said that he wouldnt let us leave without the whole being paid for so I told him to call Freehold Police then. Completely unprofessional and rude. Never again will I go here for business.

Horrible!!! The reviews who said "fresh" must be friends and family! The food is horrible. Canned garbage everywhere. Costco cakes that where stale. Rice pudding burnt! Prime rib tasteless, Soup so salty it was inedible, Salad Bar ha!!!!! More dressings than items. Went there for Thanksgiving and couldnt be unhappier. Server Horrible, the witch actually snapped at my 80 year old mother. I went in thinking sucks for servers to be working on Thanksgiving but I will tip well. I struggled to leave her one at all. Could have had a Boars head turkey sandwich and it would have been 1000x better. Canned gravy, canned green beans and the stuffing was terribly salty too. The box kind stuffing too. They should have paid me $15 bucks to eat that garbage. And the loud mouth cousin I guess. I dont know who he was, maybe the owner, maybe his few chromosome missing brother but he was loud, obnoxious and should be fired. I give it a few months and it will fall to the same fate as Silver Bell. Silver Bell was great in beginning and they started serving the same garbage as they do at Park 9 and look what happened. We should have never given them a chance on such a day and should have gone to our faithful GREAT NJ diner. Never Again

9.25 for 3 crepes stuffed with canned strawberry toping and powdered sugar. Wouldnt have ordered it if fresh strawberries was not written in the description but i guess the short order cook isnt writing the menu. 2 stars because the waiter was nice enough to get a small caf of strawberries from the kitchen i used to remake the crepe after scraping the surupy mess off. I dont expect much in way of customer service at diners but at a real resturant if you see a customer assembling his meal and its not a fajita then someone should come over and see whats going on.

The food was decent, but it was better when it was the Golden Bell. The menu is now more "upscale", which is not what Im going to a Jersey diner for. Theyve cut back the menu to about half its former length, and what is available just seems too fancy for diner fare. They had Disco Fried, but not loader fries. They had chicken meatloaf, but not fried chicken. It was as if someone said, "I want to open a diner themed restaurant that will also draw the Manhattan crowd." Its just weird.
