The food here "wow"-ed me unlike how Southern Californians take it for granted on how they simply have a location ready to go to. SoCals rendition on the American iconic and classic burger makes the bold move to New Jersey to show the East Coast what its got to make an excellent burger. The hype they built was so great, it had to live up to the hype or it wouldnt stay for more than a few days in New Jersey. Honestly, it did live up to the hype. From the first bite to the last one, the burger was amazingness built to order in one. So far, Ive had two of their burgers (one of them twice.) The Double Charburger (Translation: Double Cheeseburger Char-Grilled with a Crispy Edge Bun and Amazingly-Cooked Ingredients) and its combo define the simple American burger done perfectly and done right and then some. The ingredients feel more fresh than any other chain around here and theyre not kidding with melted cheese in between! The other burger I had was a Teriyaki Burger. The two ingredients that sealed the deal was the Teriyaki sauce and the Pineapple. My goodness, they dont just do an American classic right, but they also do a tropical taste right on it! Slightly the cost of Five Guys, youre getting a better taste than youre paying for, especially in the category of fast food. If youre looking for size and familiar Nations Capital-style burgers, stay with Five Guys (which grows old once in a while.) $10 gets you a No. 2 Combo (Double Charburger, Fries and a drink.) At the first week since opening, it has been worth it to order two sandwiches at one time! Finally, the people that work here are quite the model fast food employees because they failed to disappoint me! They are the only fast food restaurant Ive visited so far to even care about how my food came out and if I needed anything. Ive been there enough (that 3x) that they even remember who I am... by name! Im leaving a week in between to see if they even remember me after that (which I wouldnt be surprised if they didnt remember it by then… and to make sure I dont get a bad addiction. Habit is good, addiction might not be.) Friendliest faces for a fast food restaurant, hands down! Love em! Alright, well, Ive said a lot. Now its up to you if you want to visit them. If youve never experienced The Habit in SoCal, experience them in NJ. If you have experienced The Habit in SoCal, experience it again in NJ! If you want an excellent burger, have it at The Habit! Just be careful - it really just might become a new habit of yours!

Not a bad burger its pretty much uses the five guy model of business but with nicer seating and decor. The burger itself is good but not as good as if you made it at home but still good.The place is located in a shopping center where the developer obviously cared more about putting in as many houses and businesses then widening the parking lot because its a very tight fit especially during busy hours.In closing I say go if you dont want to cook or just want a meal after shopping

Had this in Orange county CA and it was amazing. Had this in Fair Lawn NJ and it was disgusting. First it is on no map in existence, no google and no iphone map. Second the fries had so much salt they were inedible. The salad was old and was lifeless and soaked in something, all wilty, and the burger was soggy and had the same amount of salt as the burger. This franchise has no clue how to make this food yet. Sorry Habit, you are non competitive, huge let down here.

For what it is 5 stars. All the food was great. Cant wait to go back. Value more than anything else come to mind because it was great food for the right price. Not to say it was cheap just well prices for quality food. Only a suggestion dont provide gummy candies to children. For all you do and strive to provide great food and service the cheesy candy for the kids shouldnt be the last thing my kids enjoy. But I know better as a parent I didnt let them eat it.

Quick service and friendly staff. I have a special diet and the woman taking my order was able to give me a list of ingredients in their products so I knew what I could order. Turns out they dont have a plain Italian dressing or just get an oil and vinegar option. Their house dressing is a balsamic vinegar and oil that apparently contains soy and fish sauce. But thats ok. At least I knew what I was safe for me eat.

Chicken sandwich was passable. Nothing to rave about, but at the same time filling. The lack of any special sauce or seasoning turns this sandwich into a mediocre experience. More toppings should be offered - pineapple, grilled onions, more cheese options, and at the very least 2-3 different sauces (bbq, hot and spicy, tangy ...etc). The prices were reasonable though so it has that going for it at least.

i went here for lunch and it took 30 min to make my burger and they flipped the burger in my bag and they had the buns on the upside down and i hope sinced i waited 30 mintues they would do a better job but it was no better then a mcdonalds on a lunch rush , with all that said this place has potential. the staff just needs to care more about the customer and how the properly assembly the burgers

The service was terrible, my friend asked me to order for him so i texted him and je was writing his order in, and the lady got mad and threatened to send me back or get the manager, it was all 3 Minutes, if she gets mad that fast, it is absolutely ridiculous as there wasnt even but 2 people on line, never coming back here, my bet? Go to Fuddruckers, amazing service, food, everything.

expecting better. Onions were not caramelized, cooked maybe and then steamed. I dont like cooked onions. The fries were oily, the Cali style burger was staked on in such a way that you need a Bigfoot mouth to take a bite and when you Finaly do, all the insides pop in different directions. Taste was better than MacDonalds, Cheap yes, but dont expect Boby F quality.

Very good burgers without a ton of options. Im fine with the limited choices because they make each so well. The burger is juicy and well seasoned and the bun was a nice compliment. The sweet potato fries were sweet and savory and great with some sauce. Make sure to get a milkshake, it was my favorite thing on total there.

The burgers are some of the best burgers Ive had in the area. A bit pricey but the quality is that good I dont even mind. Staff is friendly and the seating sometimes is not the best but as long as its not busy youll find a place to sit. Also there is outside seating which I have taken advantage of before.

The habit was great. It definitely exceeded my expectations. My burger came with fresh avocado which was surprisingly very fresh. The toasted sourdough bread was fantastic. Staff was super friendly. I liked it much better than shake shack and all those other places. Put it on your list to try!
