An excellent find thats only five minutes away from the 287/NJ Turnpike exit for Raritan Center. Skip the tiny, overcrowded Starbucks that your GPS will likely send you towards for The Coffee House, which has real deal Italian coffee and sublime pastries. Stuffed croissants include Nutella and Chocolate, but those with nut allergies will enjoy the Apricot. The cappuccino is deliciously foamy and truly delightful. The spacious location is also perfect for sitting with a laptop, a great book, or dine outside during warm weather.

Very relaxing environment with typical cafe like decor. Clean bathroom, descent prices and okay hours (10pm closing forgiven for its location). They dont get my 5th star for lacking quality coffee. Illy? Typical mass distribution cop out coffee product for a cafe. Illy is the Italian Folgers thats over rated simply because its imported. Im not a coffee snob, but I expect a cafe to have a more unique coffee bean selection at minimum.

The place is beautiful. But the latte and the machiato I bought tasted like hot water with day old espresso, the coffee bean flavor was not present in my caramelmachiatto, only the artificial flavor of caramel. Really dissapointed with the barista or the coffee bean. I wont be coming back, pity because I wanted a alternative to Starbucks. Also coffee places should invest in natural flavors instead of the artificial crap.

Me and my wife enjoy this place a lot more then Starbucks and that is saying something because my wife would be in there every day! This place has a homey feel to it and the service is great as well as their drinks. They use Illy coffee (which no one in the area does as far as I know). Just wish they were a little closer so I could have a dirty chai latte everyday!

What a welcome aroma to welcome a new day -- the fresh-baked croissants cooling on a pan behind the counter. Had circumstances been otherwise (on the last leg of a 13hr roadtrip with car and family idling in the parking lot) I would have certainly accepted the Baristas suggestion to linger for a while.

Superb regular brewed coffee (my beverage) and, from what I hear, excellent lattes, espressos, and the like. Nice baked goods as well and a homey, living-room feel to the place. I am a daily customer who lives 6 miles away and would not go anywhere else for coffee once I discovered The Coffee House.

I come here to write almost daily. Im valued as a customer. The owner is always present. The atmosphere is comfortable, relaxing and helpful to me as a writer. Other patrons are friendly and respectful of my working habits. My favorite coffee shop to write in - and Ive written in them all.

First time and last time very bad experience they dont know how to make a latte I told him I wanted in the China cop they give me my latte in a paper cup and no design If you dont know how to make a design why they show design in a latte advertisement ? Worst im never going to go there.

First of all stop serving Illy or any commercial coffee. Secondly, please learn how to make cappuccinos or for the fact any coffee. The coffee tasted like their own version of americano mixed with some milk perhaps? Sorry heard good reviews but that was clearly not the case on our visit.

I tried to come here twice to make sure my experience was right. The inside of shop was nice and cozy. Coffee was okay not anything impressive. Staffs were nice enough but too busy playing with their phones and very minimum conversions with customers.

They where very rude and pushy and they dont tell you that each shot of expresso is 2 dollars and some of the coffees have expresso in it and they dont even list it and what they call specialty sandwiches are not they are just sad sandwichs .

As a remote worker, I occasionally stop by here for a cup of coffee and a small bite. Nice relaxing coffee house vibe. They have outdoors tables with umbrellas and chairs now too. A much better atmosphere than chain coffee shops.

Love this new local spot! Great atmosphere, live music events, and awesome Illy-brand coffee. Plenty of bakery and gelato treats to go with your Java and they also make sandwiches. Were in there at least once a week.
