Jassis Sweets in Iselin,NJ is a Punjabi place, selling typical Punjabi food. It is HORRIBLE place to go if you are looking for authentic Punjabi food. Their Palak Paneer and Chole is so so below standard, that we were STUNNED that this was a Punjabi joint. Save your MONEY - dont go here. Their Veg Thali is tasteless and their sweets are so old, that you know they have been sitting there untouched for WEEKS !!! They do make nice ganne ka ras (sugarcane juice) and sarso da saag. Everything else SUCKS !!

Went in today for bhel Puri, the lady behind the counter said we dont have it and did not seem apologetic nor recommend something else to try. How do you not have bhel it requires the basics which every restaurant should have in stock. Went to galaxy across the street and be hold, they had it. I understand things happen but this is not meat nor something which is not easily available on oak tree. People drive many miles to get what theyre looking for and only to be disappointed.

Bhatura dough was not authentic. It was over risen floor. No Dahi added in the bhatura floor. Also god knows why they added Ajwain to the bhatura? Chole were also not authentic - not cooked in tea leaves, no black cardamom powder... Over all could not eat here even though the Sardarji seemed genuine his food is not. Will continue to have nostalgia abt chole bhatura from purani Delhi Karol bag pahar ganj in India...

This place is the best! I go there so many times during the month, love the food there! Lady behind the counter super nice and helpful when you are trying to look for something to try also she is very funny. Over all I love this store have been coming here for years and will be coming for years to continue!!

Have been going there for years. Its the always the highlight of my familys drive from Philly to north jersey. Best channa bhatura, papri chat, etc. It doesnt look like much but the food is delicious. We have tried other places in that area in Iselin, but nothing beats this place. Great sweets as well.

Bought 3 sugarcane juices today 5$ each . It tasted weird. The owner was saying they are fresh and he bought them today. Either the sugarcanes were bad or the machine was not washed properly. They should taste it before selling.Taste was bad. They went into trash at home.

Dont order for your party. Got stale sweets for a special order placed a couple of days before the event. Overpriced horribly. Gulab Jamums at $9.00/lb........they must be made of gold......NOT!!! Last time ordering here.
