Delicious, delicious, almost always delicious! I love VBs butter cookies, marzipan, and fruit tarts. They make great pastries and cupcakes, too. Layer cakes can be hit-or-miss; sometimes the cake part is kind of dry and a little too sweet. They have a very nice kosher selection, though, and in my experience the staff have always been helpful. A final note: Ive worked in both food service and retail, and I think their cell phone sign is brilliant. Its very irritating trying to conduct a transaction with a customer who is on the phone and thus not paying attention to what youre trying to tell them. If you have to make a call, make it after you buy your goods. Its not that hard, people.

Let me start by mentioning that my family always bought our birthday cakes from viking for decades and this last order was botched and my cousins birthday was ruined. The flavor of the cake isnt horrible but it isnt above the level of a cheap Costco cake so when you figure what you pay, you should be getting the best of the best or at least that is what I thought Viking Bakery was. A detailed description and picture was given for a rainbow cake and all we received was a multi colored tiered cake with the colors out of order. Very unhappy and my cousin was disappointed...needless to say, we will not be ordering our cakes from Viking.

I have been going to this bakery for 30+ years, yesterday I decided to stop and have my son pick out a dessert for the family.....there was hardly anything in the cases and when I asked why every cake was 25% off the kid behind the counter said that the cakes were made for Thanksgiving and they were still good and they were trying to get rid of them before they donated them to charity. This kid assured me that they were good. The two sons that ate the cake were later in the bathroom with terrible stomach pains and the runs! I have never seen them in so much pain! I will NEVER go back there again! Totally disappointed!

Ive generally liked Viking Bakery over the years, and my family has gotten quite a few birthday cakes and other items for quite a long time. Recently though we picked up a 7 Layer Mocha Cake—when we opened it at home it was completely stale. I think Viking Bakery is totally capable of making a great cake, but just be wary of what they give you off the shelf. It might be good to ask them when they baked whatever cake youre buying from them.

After new management a couple years back, after flooding, and after rebuilding, Viking Bakery had done it again. The staff is always friendly and smiling, the food is baked fresh daily and any time I call ahead to place an order or reserve something, Im never disappointed. Their cakes are out of this world, better than Cake Boss and much more affordable! If you havent been there yet, I strongly recommend it.

I have to say, amazing food but the service was awful! First off, they have a sign up saying "Please dont talk on the phone while ordering, you ask for our attention, so we ask for yours". Can you say rudest thing ever!? Second off, when I went to order I didnt get help for a good 5 minutes. The man ringing me up couldnt even make the change in his head, he had to ask his boss. Quite unfortunate!

Again, this is a place I visited years and years ago, but still have fond memories of it. The chocolate brownies are delicious. If I can still remember them after 14 years, that means a lot! Get some bagels too while youre at it, because they are very tasty too! Would love to go back some day!

I was disappointed in my dessert selections . The chocolate banana cream pie was too sweet and did not taste fresh . The praline cheese cake was just ok . Nothing to rave about .

A better sysyem should be in place. Forms in folders arent working out well. A wedding cake should NEVER be forgotten!
