Went to look for two books with my girlfriend and we are obviously not identifiable being from Turkish or Middle Eastern descent (Yes this has to do with the one star rating). We wait at the front desk to be assisted with asking about the books. We see a man sitting at the front desk talking through the phone. We continued to wait. He didnt even tell us to wait one second. He just kept going with the conversation until he was done. Then finally we found out that the books are not in the store and that had to order them. Fine, my girlfriend ordered them. We went off. A couple days later, we went to pick up the first book. We saw a man talking on his cell phone between book shelves and looking at us. We thought he was just another customer. Later on, we saw two women (they wore hijabs so they were obviously Muslim) came to the front desk to be assisted. The man that was leaning over quickly came to their assistance. We were amazed that he didnt assist us but quickly went to them. We dont know if it was because of our ethnicity or what we were wearing or whatever reason. Then when the ladies went away and WE had to ask for him to help because he decided to ignore us and go to a call instead of helping the people who already were waiting. He then tries to sneak us paying for the second book that didnt even come in yet. We only pay for the first one and we are told the other will come in a couple of more days. 3 weeks later to today which is the day Im writing a review, the book still hasnt arrived or they didnt even bother to call. To sum it all up, this place discriminating because we werent Arabic. They had poor customer service. They also tried to get money for something that probably wasnt ever ordered. Would not recommend this place unless you dont care about bad customer service or you are from the Middle East or Turkey, which they obviously prefer.

I walked into the store and picked out a great book which I really wanted to buy. It was a Science book about the planets. When I gave the book to the employee, she told me it was 12.25. I paid the amount, but forgot to take my book. I left the store and came back an hour later once i noticed I never brought my book. I asked for my already paid book, but they refused to give it to me, saying I never paid. They also never handed me the receipt. I am not satisfied with this unfriendly treatment. I had to argue for a good half hour until they gave me my book. AND IT WAS THE SAME PERSON WHO SOLD IT TO ME! Never go to the Ant Bookstore again, all they are are a bunch of Turkish rip offs. If I could give this a negative rating, I would do so, also the food is very expensive and disgusting. One time I asked for a a pastry which I saw through the window and they said it was not available. WHAT THE ^&*@!

As I am ordering my bagel with cream cheese, the employee informs me that they are not available. My questions is: "How can a coffee shop not have the simplest of food available?" Even my local liquor store has bagel with cream cheese everyday. I then ordered a dessert that was behind the glass counter yet the employee told me yet again "I am sorry but we are out". How is this even possible, if the dessert is in front of my face?! I have better luck finding a leprechaun than finding any food in the coffee shop.

THRILLED TO HAVE FOUND SUCH AN AWESOME STUDY SPOT! Great spot to study with nice atmosphere. People working here are so nice! I just got a tea but it was delicious. The food looks very interesting and tasty and is very fairly price. Free parking lot around the corner with plenty of spots. Very clean place with clean bathrooms. Will definitely come back again.

Love it!!!!!! Always very peaceful and very pleasant music. Best bookstore in clifton. Perfect place to go study, read. The staff are also amazing and greet you with a smile. The bookstore is not very big but very welcoming. I go there to read to my 2yr old baby boy and he loves it. I think the place is Turkish. I recommend it.

This place is so beautiful and friendly. It is also cozy. A place for books, for computer, for work, very delicious Turkish food, and books. The best part is their small shop with various cool stuff like cases, plates, all you can think of and it is set up so nicely. I love this place. My favorite spot in NJ.

Incredibly nice, quaint, authentic and the Mediterranean pastries are delicious. An authentic bookstore, a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere with which to drink your coffee and read a book — this is worth the visit again and again.

The low quality of the food is expensive and I can not truly express how horrible this place is, due to the fact that my words must be non vulgar because of the sites censorship.

In a world of giant businesses its nice to see a cozy, local bookstore where you can get a drink and snack that doesnt cost you a fortune. Its a relaxing, reading place.
