Was a long time fan of Farnsworth till about a year ago, but i recently decided to give them another chance and im sorry to say it is the last one. Appetizer served wasnt the appetizer described on the menu with the eggplant being roasted and not fried that being the least of the problems on the bland plate. My daughter ordered the $6 garden salad that turned out to be merely the same entree accompanying salad. Finally my entree...a filet of tilapia with a few chunks of lump crab meat accompanied by a terribly undercooked spinach pasta drowned in a chicken stock based sauce fit for a frozen dinner...the one bright spot being my friends crabcake which was boringly presented on a plain bed of rice with three pieces of asparagus...sad to see one of my past favorites falling so far behind the great restaurants on the very same street.

The hours and menu listed on their website are wrong. We waited a long time to be acknowledged. We were not offered a high chair or booster seat for my young daughter. My daughter spilled water all over the table and floor and no one came over to help us clean the spill. The waiter told us the wrong soup of the day, which we found out when a different soup was served to us. There are no changing tables in either bathroom. The food was over priced, with very small portions and was mediocre at best. I would not recommend or ever go back. There are much better restaurants in the area.

The food was ok. It took an inordinate amout of time to receive our salads. When my friend didnt like their entree the waitress said we would still have to pay for it even though it was barely touched. We asked for the manager and he treated us with utmost respect and took the meal off our check. This whole experience was disappointing as the restaurants on Farnsworth Ave that weve tried thus far have been exceptional. Sadly we will not be returning to this restaurant.

Ten years ago this was a great resteraunt. Unfortunatly , and on a big first date , I found that things really do change. No more sharply dress male waiters , had to beg someone twice to light the table lamps , nothing special about the food and it did not match the menu on the internet. My waitress was a large poorly dressed woman who should have been working at a diner. I guess there was a reason we were the only guests there on a Sat. night Memorial Day weekend.

Nice place to grab a drink with friends. Atmosphere is low key, you can sit at the bar or high tops and actually have a conversation with people without having to yell over loud music. Great beer list and very reasonable drink prices. Menus is on the pricier side for what you get and they really dont have a bar food menu. So if you are going to drink and eat bar food this is not the place. Otherwise its great, service is always good.

The Farnsworth House never disappoints when it comes to quality. I have been a fan for many, many years and I will be for many to come. They have the best steak within a fifty mile radius, their desserts are homemade (best tirimisu I have ever had) and it is ALWAYS good. They are the best restaurant in Bordentown by a long shot.

My family came here for Christmas dinner and we were all mostly pleased. My salmon romantica was really good and the hummus they gave us in the beginning was wonderful. The creme brulee was delicious!

The reviews prior to mine are for the restaurant that was there prior to this. It is closed for renovations (substantial) as of Sept 2017 and its grand re-opening something to look forward to.

I love this place. Have gone there for lunch & dinner. Have never been disappointed. But it could be in particular I love their Baked Asparagus. Save room for an excellent dessert.
