The food was delicious and service was perfect! Much better than Casa Maya nearby. We had a group of 8 and were seated in the front of the restaurant. I didnt get a chance to see into the main dining room but the little I did see, it was very cozy. The salsa, pico de gallo and chips were brought out and we ate the entire bowl. We had the nachos and camarones al ajillo as appetizers. The nachos were simple and delicious. Beans, cheese and jalepenos with sour cream and guacamole placed on the edge of the plate instead of being plopped in the middle of the nachos. I thought that was a nice touch since not everyone likes sour cream and quacamole. The cheese was a white, creamy, gooey, cheese and not what you would find in the typical fast food establishments. I forgot to ask what it was but it was delicious. Camarones was fantastic. Sizzling shrimp in a spicy, chili, cilantro sauce, with sliced bread. We dipped the bread in the sauce and put the shrimp on top. So delicious!. We ordered the fajitas, carnitas, burritos, quesadillas, etc. Everything was excellent and all the food came out piping hot. Oh, and the salsa was good but the Pico de Gallo was great! I had to take it home. Our "go to" Mexican restaurant used to be Casa Maya but Hacienda has now become our favorite in the area. More room, nicer atmosphere, better service and food! Gelma, the owner, was so nice to talk to on the phone. Im upset Ive been missing eating here for all these years!

The staff was very snide and rude to us here. Our waitress was not very nice or attentive. We had requested a queso dip as an app and got a sizzling plate of thick cheese and tortillas.(Not a queso dip) After I had mentioned this was not what we wanted and sent it back the manager came over and very snidely told us they didnt serve velveeta cheese. Once again that was not what I asked for! Never once did I request velveeta... I guess they have no idea what queso dip is at this restaurant. I have ate at hundreds of mexican restaurants all over the country and always have been able to order queso dip and not once was it velveeta. It was totally out of line the way the manager spoke down to us. The place was almost empty and yet our service was horrible. There were even cooks coming out of the kitchen starring us down after we sent back the plate of bubbling thick cheese. Very rude service and sub-par food. I would never recommend this place to anyone. And it was also very expensive for being a hole in the wall restaurant in the basement of another restaurant. I could have got better service at taco bell.

Wow...what a experience!! I am a 53 year old man who has dined all over the US and the tropics and never came across such a belligerent, rude, arrogant server (who I believe was the owner) in my entire life! The tone she used was so condescending to my friend and I over some food that did not meet our expectations was appalling. In most finer establishments (which I thought this was) accommodating the customer to return is an important point of concern, not reciting the menu and making you feel you need a discount..or that you are trying to get something over them. Please understand, its not the money, its the principle..and Hacienda just doesnt get that. If you venture there please know you could be having a similar experience that I and another reviewer shared who submitted before this review ...Massive disappointment!

This comment is directed to the restaurant manager. With regards to your condescending reply to one of your patrons, it may help you to know that posted reviews can either make or brake establishments. Unprofessional conduct is never wise. It may be tolerated in some countries but here in the USA, paying patrons expect to be treated with respect and dignity. If the customer in question misbehaved in any way whatsoever, you could had simply apologized for his displeasure with your service and offered a 15% discount as a token of "Good Will". Verbal bashing is degrading on all levels. Your lax conduct is unacceptable and reveals your lack of professionalism in the restaurant management business. I for one will never patronize your establishment.

Ive eaten with my family at the Hacienda at least 25 times over the past 7 years. The food never disappoints. What we like about it is that the food is the farthest thing from commercial Mexican food. Ive been to Mexico, and this place is better. UPDATE: Ive recently eaten at the Hacienda and the owner is aware of the few negative reviews that some folks have left. After listening to the owners side of some of these experiences, its pretty obvious that some people like to write vendetta reviews. Some folks have their own idea of what good Mexican food is. This place serves authentic cuisine..and yes, once in while the service lacks, but the food quality is always 5 stars and worth the wait.

I have some friends that live in the area so I have past by this pizzeria several times. It always smells so good from outside so I could imagine how good the slice taste. Well I finally got to try it so I no longer need to use my imagination ;p Its definitely a no frills, tradional pizzeria. It reminded of pizzerias where I grew up in Bensonhurst. The slice was really good. The crust was crunchy and the sauce was on point. A slice cost $2.50, which is about the normal price for a plain slice in NYC. Its hard to find a good pizzeria in Queens. I definitely recommend this place for a quick and cheap bite to eat if you are in the area. I will be paying them another visit soon.

The worst service ever! Food was cold and sticking to the tray guess it was sitting for awhile. The taco salad was drenching in oil that had to be poured out. The ribs werent even cut! Charged for side orders that are suppose to be accompany with the food. Should be more explainable to there clients, when i addressed to remove a bag of chips the owner or manager coughed up a very serious attitude, i just paid and wanted out! NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN!!!!!!

Worst service ever. Our server who was also the owner was so rude and arrogant. My friend asked about some of the dishes and she used sarcastic tone to explain. We asked for chicken soup and she gave us black beans soup, so we called her and asked polity to change it. The bus boy came back with same soup but no beans. The food was horrible in taste. I will never go back to this place. I mean she fed us sarcasm like we are some low lives.....

Above Average Food. Lunch portions are really SMALL. This is definitely not a value for money place. Service was below average but I really think it was an exception that day. So, I will just CLEAR this restaurant on Service BE CAREFUL ON THE CHECK. ITEM MAY APPEAR ON THE CHECK EVEN IF YOU HAVE NOT ORDERED IT. :) Positive Side: Guac is AWESOME! Decor is AWESOME!

Great mexican food. Fresh and nicely served. On top of that, they have few tables outside so you can enjoy nice weather. Their gazpacho soup is sooo refreshing. Chimichanga platter is delicious and full of meat. I am taking away one star because inside requires some extra touch. it looks little outdated. Not bad, but still needs some work.
