This review will cover two trips to this establishment in one week. I have to do this because the experiences were so different. First review; date of visit 8-9-2015. We went tot he hostess station and told her we had a party of six. She informed us of a thirty minute wait and gave us a beeper. Nothing our of the ordinary there. When the beeper went off I waved to the rest of our party and the hostess in a very snarky tone said, "you are not going to add anyone to your party are you?" At the time I thought this was a valid question even thought the tone it was asked in was rude. I told her no, it was still the same six. She took us to the outside section and sat us a two separate 4 top tables that could not be moved together because a large umbrellas on them. So now I am wandering why the snarky question about adding to the party since she was seating us where you could seat 8. Now I dont now about you, but I want to sit with the entire groups. The waitress came up and said she would be the waitress for one table, but not the other. REALLY, now one group has to site separate and have different waitresses? We were one group paying on one card. I told the waitress we wanted to sit together and said it was not possible. I asked to see the manager. A lady came up and asked how she could help. I explained the situation AGAIN. Shes said it could not be done. I offer to remove one of the umbrellas and move the tables together and put it all back when we were done. She said no. I asked how I was supposed to talk to the other group? She told me to move my chair closer. Yes she said that! Back to back conversation sounds great to me. She explained that the hostess should of explained the seating situation, but she did not, so I asked if we were gong to get free appetizers for this inconvenience? She told me she did not have that authority to do that. I asked why a manager could not do that? She said she was just a supervisor. Well I had already requested to speak to a manager and did not get one.... So I told her to go get me the real manager. When the manager Justine or Justina came to the table I did not even get to speak. She threw me out of the restaurant for calling her employees names. A member of my party stood up and told her she was lying and at that point she told both of us to leave or she was calling the police. Needless to say the whole group left and spend over $300 at another establishment. Now at the end of the week we went back. We really do like the Margaritaville we have in our area and the group really wanted to give it a second try. We agreed if we saw any of the staff from the earlier visit we would leave. Things started off COMPLETELY different from the first visit. The hostess explained that it would be 50 minutes to get a table together, about 20 minutes to get separate table (like above), or we could sit at the bar immediately. Wow that was different already, no lies and actual choices. We sat at the bar, we ordered and my friend ordered a medium rare stead. It showed up very well done. We showed it to the bar tender and the bartender without hesitation apologized and took the plate and said she wold have it remade. It was not long before Aggie (a supervisor) not a manager, came over and sincerely apologized and informed us that the entire meal was being remade and she would bring it out personally. Aggie did bring the meal out, apologized again and asked my friend to cut the steak to make sure it was OK, which it was. The great service from Aggie was still not enough to get the overall rating above two stars. They can thank the manager Justina for that. In my opinion Aggie should be the general manager and Justina and the hostess and supervisor from my first visit should be terminated.

We arrived they said it was a 40 min wait (which would have been no big deal we did not have reservations so we expected as much) but there were at least 10 empty tables no line and i looked over the counter no reservations for that time. We waited walked around got a call to come there. We were seated right away. It was about 20 min till our server came around to take a drink order (we tried to order food then too but were brushed off by waitress) then another 15 till the drinks made it to the table and we were able to order. After ordering it was about 30 minutes till our food came out, in this time noone came to check on our drinks or anything. Our server didnt even bring the food out. Someone else did and dropped it off and ran. The food was very bland little to no flavor and bone dry. We tried flagging down a server for ketchup with no luck. (Luckily, after about 15 min of trying to flag down a server, the table across from us were leaving and we finally were able to go get the the ketchup ourselves) through all of this we had not seen our server in about 40 45 min. Finally i see her and flag her down. By this time we were so discusted that we got our check and left. Its such a shame that with such a nice atmosphere that they had such horrible service and horrible food. The only truely edible item on the plate was the pickle.

It was our first time in AC and this was one of the places we had been told to try. We came all the way from Ottawa and this was one place we were extremely excited to try during our stay. Good: Decor and server was very polite. The fries were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. Unfortunately, thats where it all ended. Bad: Food was extremely poor quality and not what you expect from a quality restaurant. App: Garlic shrimp were warm even though in a skillet. Main: My steak was overcooked, but i wasnt too concerned with it. However it was extremely salty, so much so that i had to leave 3/4 of it on the plate. Ive been eating steaks for most of my adult life and it was the first time i didnt finish it. My partner had chicken tacos. The beans and rice were well cooked, but the taco was just randomly stuffed together and the chicken tasted cold/funky. We could only eat two bites out of two tacos. We didnt want to blame the waitress, as it wasnt her fault; so we left after a $70 bill for two people and had a slice of pizza down the board walk for $3. For a hallmark restaurant in AC, the quality of food was very unsatisfactory and it would be hard for us to justify spending any money at this place after the recent experience. Hope this helps, some of you make a better and informed choice.

Wahhhhhht? No review? This is the FIRST? What a GREAT watering hole (water pronounced the Philadelphia/S Jersey way!)! Now realize since we went to this beeaaauuutiful one on the boardwalk in Atlantic City we then visited the one on Duval Street in Key West (I assume the original). Aaaaaaah the same feel...BUT to be honest this one is on the boardwalk...right at the Atlantic City Steel Pier...with the magnificent manicured/clean wide beach! IT DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS! As a child on TV (Philadelphia) we used to watch musical acts from the pier during the summer and I saw/heard songBird Linda Ronstadt....an unknown...a kid...with the Stone Poneys (I am guessing 1967)... There was no horse doing a freeDive ..BUT.. there was the Jersey Devil (aka Our Dean Randazzo) hosting a party at the Margaritaville...perhaps the best surfer to EVER dip all 10 toes into the Atlantic Ocean (Hang 10 [all of them] !l; surfs up !)...OK the one in Key West you can walk a few blocks and see a spectacular sunset. Here you can watch the sun come up en-route to the sunset in Key West...isnt that somethn ??? ...signed...(Dodge_Charger_44 & Pharmacist_on_Speed who will return to try surfn...and the celebrate at THIS Margaritaville JK
