I got to Cluck-U at 8:50 on 4th of July with my 12 year old daughter. When I opened the door I heard yelling in the kitchen get out !get out! then a person emerged from the kitchen and said get out! I responded are you kidding me? and he went on a tirade about customers coming in 5 minutes before closing and ordering and bossing him around I asked him if he was the owner he said no so I said it figures,I said if youre open till 9 ,your open till 9, then you should close at 8:45 so you can be out by 9.He started arguing with me and when I told him I was calling corporate he told me to f*** off right in front of my 12 year old daughter. I called corporate in Maryland left two messages and an email the following day have not got one phone call back. what a dysfunctional organization and I will never set foot in any Cluck-U again. The Matawan location should do drug screening for their employees because this guy looked like he was on something along with another employee who was a bearded millennial who stood there and did nothing.....

I gave this place 4 tries over the last 6 months.. Hoping it would get better. But no such luck. I understand this may be a privately owned franchise like other cluck us... I have been to many of the Cluck U Locations in NJ in including the original in New Brunswick when it started, but unfortunately this location gives all the others a bad name.. If there are supposed to be standards for the name they are not followed here. For one.. Im totally convinced the wings are reheated. They come out luke warm and rubbery (on more than one occasion).. No crispness at all. Most Cluck Us are known for the Larger sized wings, they dont exist here. It is sad to say, but there is a pizza place down the block called Luigis that sells CU wings and they are much better (and true to the orig) then this actual "Cluck U" location... I dont envision this place staying around too long. The place was empty and the quality and customer service leave little to be desired. Dont waste your time or money at "This" Location!

We called to pickup a family meal. I arrived on time to an empty restaurant and the lone cashier taking a phone order. 3 minutes later with me still standing there and my food ready he goes to the next caller and spends another 5 minutes taking their order. Had I not called in a big order I would have left and went somewhere else. Perhaps the food is so good that the employees think they can disrespect their customers and expect them to come back again. The fried chicken came with corn muffins and was nothing to write home about. The three sides were sub standard. The mac and cheese was a block of mushy pasta that I wouldnt eat but my daughter didnt mind. The rice and beans were over seasoned with cumin and under cooked. The biscuits were tiny tasteless donut balls. We ate the food but the cluck u type customer service left heartburn. Weve had chicken holiday in the past and that is were we will go when we get our chicken.

Dont let the hours of operation time fool you! I called to place an order for pick up at 8:15 pm. It was going to be a very small order but I was unable to even get to that part. They guy tells me they cant take my order because they are closing soon. I called him out and said it was only 8:15 and they dont close until 9pm. He puts me on hold for a few seconds and tells me he can only put in an order for fries and boneless wings. I was less than 20 minutes away and asked him if I were to walk in right then and there would I be offered the same food? He said I was the last customer of the night. Its ridiculous if they close at 8:15 or even 8:30pm they should advertise that. Not 9pm. I get they are underpaid employees that want to go home on hot summer day but then the times should be updated. I wont be going back to cluck u

The guy who came in on 4th of July showed up at 8:57 when he should have known that they close at 9, and on 4th of July, there would obviously be limited hours. He cursed at the employee first and then made a threatening comment towards him saying he would f him up, right in front of his, apparently, 12 year old daughter. He displayed disgraceful behavior and I feel sorry for his child to have such a poor role model for a father. The food at this location is incredible and as long as youre not being a complete idiot, the service is great. Dont know why so many people dont know basic etiquette when it comes to ordering food at a restaurant. Its not fast food, this is Cluck-U, not McDonalds. Learn how to conduct yourself.

I love this place! Right off the bat, its one of the cleanest Cluck Us Ive ever been to. Second, I iike the decor of the chicken themed movie posters on the wall. And finally, the food always comes out hot and fresh. I always thought I loved the chicken select strips and McDonalds, but having the chicken tenders here...WOW! You can taste the difference. And even though Im not a fan of spicy food, I must admit the wings look mighty good. I guess Ill start with mild and work my way up to atomic. These guys are definitely catering my Super Bowl party this year!

I really like this place. We used to order from planet wings all the time but it was really expensive for 2 10 piece boneless and onion rings. We went to cluck u once and ordered the same thing and it was literally twice the food for almost the same money. The customer service has been pretty good. No long waits, not cranky kids behind the counter. Its a fast food chicken place. Well go here from now on because we get more for out money and we can make leftovers out of it.

Ive ordered from here a couple times for delivery & pick up. The guys on the phone are always rude! No customer service whats so ever. The employees have no patience for the customers & if you dont hurry up to place your order he starts huffing & puffing. The one time I picked up, he was cussing at the customers over the phone, put them hold & slammed his phone on the counter. WORST EXPERIENCE with his place!!!! The food however is good.

Me and my friends wanted to order delivery for dinner. We ordered once, and they had some trouble understanding the address. After we hung up, we realized that we had forgot to order one more thing, so we called back and placed another order. When the guy on the phone heard the address, he hung up the phone. It was very rude and disrespectful and now we dont know if we will get out food

The customer service sucked I came here once the owner was friendly and informative about the choices you can get. This time I came and this kid seemed like was having a bad night and didnt have the patient to answer any question about the spicy choices. I ended up getting anything to avoid keep talking to him I know from now on that Cluck U will be my last choice
