This restaurant is hit or miss. Must admit last week it was Hit!! Went to the new one in Piscataway early evening around dinner time on a weeknight. How do you not have lettuce for the sandwich and none of the sides that are usually first pick. Really!!!??? So I ventured back to Plainfield. Everything; service, speed, chicken was good. The fish was overcooked, but what can you expect - its a chicken place. On the back of the receipt was a survey. Did the survey and returned a couple days later to get 2 pieces of chicken and a biscuit for $2.39; somewhere around there, had to purchase a large drink.

Chicken was reheated and French fries were hard and dry. Most importantly the drive thru window should not be in back of building if you dont frequent this store you would think theres another window because when you pull up you see the storage area and no ones there because the person who takes the order then has to go up front and pack order. Store needs to be closed and reconfigured.

I love the cajun flavoring of Popeyes. They are very consistent from restaurant to restaurant, which is great. Im a big spicy chicken strips with fries and biscuit guy, and they never, ever disappoint. The unsweetened iced tea has great flavor.

Its fast food people. Fried chicken, you dont get any simpler than that. The food is fresh and ok. My Family and I eat Popeyes like once every 5 or 6 months. Like I said its ok.
