Remember the way burgers and fries were cooked back in the 60s ? Go to Jakes and youll remember real quick. Great chain with great hamburgers. Killer french fries, cooked perfect. Not even on the same level with your typical fast food burgers, BK, McD or Wendys. Chkn and hotdogs available as well. To die for milkshakes too as well as refillable fountain soda and iced tea (sweet or unsweet. For a quick burger this is where I go

We come to Salem just for Jakes. The service here is always the best and the Brian behind the counter has the best customer skills and cooks the burgers to perfection. My wife love the burgers. These melt in your mouth cheesey patties with the flip top bun are worth every penny and the distance. Everyone should come here as often as they can. Very highly recommended.

Great burger and soapy shakes. The burgers here are hearty and tasty. The shakes are thick and cold. I had the cafe mocha shake and the taste was a little-ssapy. However, my friends enjoyed their shakes, so overall - a good place to eat.

I find that it is pretty good. Although I find that the meat is a bit bland and the buns are a bit weird tasting. But I do love the service and the friendly atmosphere. The prices are a bit high but it is defiantly worth it.

The best burgers and shakes you can buy in the Salem area. I pretty much always get a Double Cheeseburger W Bacon and whatever toppings and I really like the Strawberry-Banana Shake. The fries are awesome too.
