When I first walked into Coffee Coffee, I could see it was unlike any other coffee shop. The scent of freshly roasted coffee permeated throughout the establishment. The room is large and sparsely decorated, not cramped and gaudy like many places tend to be. I was introduced to the owners by the friend who had suggested we go, and they were both friendly and personable. Among other things they informed me that they were coffee roasters, not brewers, and when asked explained the difference. Feeling welcomed I began to peruse the room. On one side there was a display with some history and facts about coffee (no spoilers, read it yourself). There were small personal tables in the cafe area, and two couches on the other side (which are incredibly comfortable, might I add.) The next part of my journey was the counter. The menu above held a variety of delicious sounding foods, beverages, and desserts. The display case held a variety of pastries, and the counter had a few coffee dispensers labeled with their contained flavor. I was handed a small glass and invited to try each type of coffee, they were each personally described to me as I tasted. While they all were amazing, it was quite a warm day, and I decided finally upon an unflavored iced coffee. The owner, Lynn as she introduced herself, retrieved my order. I was handed a glass with iced coffee, coffee iced cubes, and directed towards the cream and sugar. I prepared my beverage and took a sip. Now Im slightly embarrassed to say this, but I was surprised that the iced coffee was just as delicious as the hot had been (it seems that does not happen often.) My friend and I made our way over to one of the couches, sat down and listened to the music playing through the speakers. We chatted for awhile, just enjoying the comfortable atmosphere. At this point, I decided to try some of the food. I went with a grilled cheese, as I was not feeling all that well that day. My order was delivered to me much faster than I had expected, as was my friends. Now I will not spoil the experience by describing my plate, you will have to see that for yourself as well, but I will say: It was by FAR the best Grilled Cheese I had ever tried. My friends Spinach Pie slice was given rave reviews as well. We spoke to the owners for a while longer and they informed us about the variety of entertainment they host, including an open mic night and coffee tastings. Now Im dragging on, so I will summarize for you. Coffee Coffee is a fantastic establishment, and regardless of if you are a casual coffee drinker, or a coffee connoisseur, you will not be disappointed with a single moment there.

I worked for this company for the past month and quit on the spot today. The owners of this place are cheap liars who scam customers out of their money. An article was posted in The Hippo today about the business and in it one of the owners takes claim to over 200 soup recipes, stealing them from the cook (who is one of the kindest and most generous people ive met. The owner and her husband do not even make their own lunch, the cook makes it to their perfect request, I served it, the other owner would complain about how it was burned, and I would clean up their mess. When the cook wasnt in, Lynn (an owner, Barry (the other owner) Lynns husband) made the lunch and then I would clean up her mess in the kitchen. Their "fresh ground cocoa" is store-bought. I have never seen a bag marked "cocoa beans" in there, ever. They are so cheap they buy misc. meat and cheese ends to save $1 it would have cost them to get normal sliced. They always had us keep the doors open because it got too hot so flies would get in and sometimes fly into, and get lost in, the refrigerator. They only turned the AC on twice in the months of May and June thus far. The employees checks are always bouncing if not directly cashed at their bank and hours are mysteriously deducted from paychecks. Their son comes in for lunch daily and they treat him like dirt and tell them he isnt wanted. Its horrible and sad. They breathe down the employees necks making them feel incompetent, aggravated, and some, very nervous. They are quick to point fingers and blame things on anyone who isnt them. When I left, they were blaming the Hippo incident on a fellow coworker, when they called to say they were quitting, the owners told them it was my fault. A customer came in today to buy a pound of French Vanilla and Barry told them it was fresh roasted yesterday, when its been on the shelf for a week. When I called him on it he told me I was wrong. When I called Lynn on the soups in the article and told her the cook would be furious, she said it didnt matter. Their baked goods are store-bought and passed off as their own. I refuse to work for liars. These people are unfeeling and cheap. They lost 3 of their best workers today, one will not be coming back from her trip at the end of the month, and doubtless the other two will leave.

Coffee Coffee has the best fresh roasted, organic coffee around! Check it out when youre on Rt. 28 in Salem, NH. Its a great place to stop in for a cappuccino and linger for a bit. The owners, Barry and Lynn Goldman, are quite knowledgeable about coffee. Youll leave knowing more about coffee than you anticipated ... why you should drink organic, and why you should purchase fresh roasted from Coffee Coffee. Friday night is sample night ... theres always something to try. If you happen to stop in during open mic night, thats fun too. Coffee Coffee is also a worthwhile meeting place if you want to meet a friend, client, or business associate.

Recently got an espresso machine and was tired of using boring Starbucks beans in it. Never realized there was a coffee roaster/cafe so close to home! Walked in earlier today and met Barry. Awesome guy, took the time to explain a couple different blends to me, made suggestions on what beans I might like and even brewed me a sample! This place is a coffee Mecca for the Merrimack valley/southern NH area! Walked out with a custom blend of my choice...cant wait to pull my first shot of espresso later! Will definitely be back.

So I swung by this place 15m ago because I was looking for a coffee shop and the reviews were easily good. Let me say this first, the reviews are On Freaking Point. The ambience and decor are really chill. The owner is a super friendly guy who greets you right as you walk in with a smile. Im definitely coming here on my one a week trips up to nh. If you get the chance, definitely swing by!

Wouldnt go there again. Had breakfast and spent 10$ on a smoked salmon sandwich! Seriously I have been to other places and spent 4 dollars less on the same sandwich. Also ordered a side of home fries for 3.50 that was meant for a child. When I brought up my concern they tried to justify saying it was two whole potatoes! Dont waste your time and your money.

Small Roaster in Salem worth the trip. Barry knows more about coffee than anyone Ive ever met. Also his demo of the aeropress should earn him a spot on a QVC show. The food offerings are very good, and the coffee is the best ive ever had and Ive lived in Latin America in countries known for coffee. Dont miss it.
