UPDATE: The owner of the restaurant contacted me directly and apologized for the bad experience I had. He offered to make it right and he did. A bad night can happen to anyone and the way Pasquale handled it showed me that hes a class act and cares about his customers. I have been back and will go again! So what happened to customer service? This was our third visit, and quite probably our last. Our first visit was great! Delicious food, fantastic pizza and a good time had by all. I had the pasta with scallops and it was very good. Its easy to overcook scallops and they end up rubbery. These were perfectly sautéed. The wait was a bummer, but I didnt mind too much because the place had just opened up and I figured theyd work out the kinks as they went along. Well... maybe not. Our second visit was to pick up some of that delicious pizza. The place was packed and theres not much room to wait around, but the pizzas were ready and I squeezed in and out. My third visit was tonight... I had a hankering for some good pizza so I thought Id order from Pasquales and grab one of their strawberry, pear and walnut salads too. I ordered three pizzas and a couple of salads. Now mind you, as others have stated, their prices arent exactly cheap and their pizzas arent exactly large, but I really like their pizza crust and hadnt ordered from them in a while. So I called at 5:41 and was told 20-30 minutes for pickup. I arrived at 6:20 and expected the pizzas to be getting a little cool because of my tardiness. Well, guess what? The pizzas werent even ready after 40 minutes. Ive made pizzas in a wood fired brick oven before and they only take 7 or 8 minutes to bake. The hostess apologized and said let me go get your order. She came back and said the pizzas werent ready yet. About 20 minutes later, the manager (?) came over and asked if I was the one waiting for pizza. I said, yes and it had been an hour since I placed the order. She apologized and said theyd gotten slammed. I ended up waiting another 10 minutes for my food. Im sure my pizzas hadnt even been started by the time I arrived. Now, remember Pasquales prices are on the high side, and for those prices I expect good food and good service. Tonight was a bust on both accounts. The pizzas were not anywhere near as good as before and it took over an hour to get my food. The least they could have done was offer a partial refund because of the wait or a discount for a future visit. If youre going to charge a premium price for your food, it better include very good service and when it doesnt (as happens occasionally), you better make sure your customer knows you understand you missed the mark and try and make it up to them, even in a small way. Since Pasquales didnt seem to be bothered by their poor service, I wont be back.

Bad experience... Went for a late lunch today off of a suggestion and decided why not. We began to dig into the bread until I realized there was a stray piece of steel wool in my bread. It was baked into the bread and I am glad I had found it so I wouldnt have to take an unexpected trip to the hospital. I told the waiter who took it away and told the manager. The manager later came over and said that they were sorry and someone accidentally must have left a bit of the steel wool when cleaning the oven last night that they bake the bread in, constantly going over how the bread is homemade, no need to try to gloss this over I dont want anymore of your food!! The manager later asked if we wanted anymore bread which I obviously declined, but the waiter came out with more... We considered leaving after that but decided to stay and give it a shot, we should have left. The food was very mediocre and bland. I got chicken broccoli alfredo and the chicken was in odd thin strips some were almost in these corners with all char, (the chicken was $3 extra)and a fettuccine with a ragu like flavor alfredo sauce. My dad had gotten the steak tips which were in these same thin , almost meatless, strips which we did not enjoy. Bad experience with no compensation. No free food, no free dessert or appetizer, no gift card. Abbismial expirence, never going back and I suggest you wouldnt either.

Very poor dining experience! Took my family to lunch yesterday. We arrived at 12:30 to learn that they had no heat inside the building. We decided to stay regardless and dine wearing our winter coats. We were promptly seated and the server took our drink orders. We all ordered hot coffee given the cold temperatures inside the dining room. We were offered and served sliced store bought bread. Interesting that they have a brick wood fired pizza oven on the premises but choose to serve customers bland store bought bread. Our party of five ordered our entrees. Food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. However, our dinners were served lukewarm. My sister was served marinara sauce that was stone cold right out of the refrigerator. Overall poor dining experience. The manager never bothered to discount the bill given the fact that there was no heat in the building. I will never dine at this establishment again. I know a lot of people in Londonderry and plan to tell them to stay away as well. Pasquale the owner needs train his staff on proper customer service. Good luck making this mediocre establishment a success. There are much better Italian restaurants in the area to frequent. This restaurant gets a failing grade.

Wife and I waited for this establishment to open while it was under construction. Well last night I was craving something simple, ravioli. We went to the restaurant and decided to sit at the bar. The atmosphere was nice, good job on the remodeling. Now on to the meal. Sometimes its the little things that let you quickly know this may not work out, bread . This is an Italian restaurant with a great looking open fire oven, the bread tasted and looked like it was purchased at Market Basket. Soft, white perfectly sliced, I guess Italian bread, strike 1. The dipping oil for the bread had big chunks of raw garlic in it, now I like garlic just not big raw chunks how about roasting it in that nice oven first, strike 2. The sauce, very plain, the ravioli nothing special and the basil leaf used as a decorative adding to the plate, brown on the end, no big deal there since I wasnt planning on eating it anyway. The portion was average and for $$11.99 I would expect more. You only have one chance to make a first impression and you failed, strike 3.

Service ok, atmosphere ok, food good, price horrible. Their large specialty pizza (12 inch round similar to a small pizza at a sub/pizza shop) was $17.49 . The pizza came with mozzerella cheese, sauce, and basil. I added pepperoni (maybe 10 slices on the pizza) and they charged me $4 for the extra topping. The best part about it was that they ran out of basil, but still charged me $4 anyways. Should have at least waved the $4 fee because they lacked a topping. Mixed drinks were $8, a decent pour but not worth $8 a pop. In the end, i cant fault the taste of the pizza, it was good. Just dont plan on walking out of there with a full stomach or doggie bags. Id rather drive to Romanos in Litchfield and get twice as much food for half the cost.
