We used to LOVE to make a weekend day trip to the farm. Every inch of it was full of charm and fun! The new building, where its nice in a typical, franchisey sort of way. ...is not at all where I will bother driving to anymore. We had all thought that this new building was just for restaraunt purposes, and were very disappointed. Plainly. ....HATE the new & "improved " applecrest. I may as well go to my local Co-op, dont bother with a 2 hour drive. Not to mention, they were out of ALL of the things I buy when we go there & no one knew anything about when they might get more. (Fudge, jams cheeses etc) We also ate at the bistro. VERY disappointing. The hostess was obviously overworked & she was being rediculously rude, but beyond that. ....ha. I have some egg allergies and so on, so I like to read & know a menu beforehand. The website was very easy to navigate & where I thought some of the food here looked a little on the pricier end (14 bucks for a small Flatbread ) I still wanted to try it. So we get to the farm, and after a 45 minute waiting list for a table, we sit down only to find out theyre only serving a VERY limited menu on Sunday, brunch & breakfast....no soup. ..no fish unless youre a kid. ...not even one of the sandwiches I wanted to try. ....it was all breakfasty crap & sweet. My daughter really wanted soup, hot cider (which they couldnt figure out how to do, only cold cider) & a salad. .....it was raining outside & we were chilly. Just she and I had braved the steady drizzle in favor of picking peaches since the whole peach festival was canceled (applecrest really should have posted something about that ) while the rest of our party waited for a table. Ps, we walked down towards the peach orchard since their advertised free rides were also canceled. Ahem. Im pissed that we paid for a stupid freaking bag of peaches though that we didnt even get to pick!!!!!!! The lady at the main barn basically said we couldnt even get into the orchard without buying a bag in the main building before we ventured out there. Mistake. BIG MISTAKE! Compete waste. ...we never made it all the way to the damn peaches! So all that for nothing! The gal at the register didnt have a clue what to do when I came back for a refund since we never got anything. So anyways, we went to eat. ....hostess was crap, waitress & waiter were absolutely wonderful. ....food was extremely mediocre & overpriced. ....menu was for crap, false website advertising. Ps, why in the hell would you NOT serve lunch menu during a freaking festival? Or on Sunday afternoon? Especially for people who dont want sweet and cant eat certain things that live in most breakfast foods. ...like eggs. Long story short. ....we all were very disappointed, I would personally use the word hate. ....I will never recommend this place ever again. Not friends or family who vacation at my place, definitely not to locals, not even to tourists!

My son and I stopped by this month (May) and stocked up on some beautiful fruits and veggies! The asparagus had been picked just 3 hours earlier that day. We also picked up Fiddleheads (these are completely new to us -- were originally from Arizona). They were delicious! The market is stunning....absolutely beautiful! The staff was friendly and helpful. The girl at the counter said that theyre not certified organic, but do not use pesticides. I need to do a little more research on that. I would love to see this market / farm become zero waste. ;) No need to wrap veggies and fruits in plastic or store in plastic bags. Perhaps they could sell reusable produce bags and/or encourage customers to bring their own and shop bulk. There were a few things that I would have purchased, but I couldnt find them without plastic bags or wrap. Aside from that, I love this market and cant wait to come back for lunch at the Bistro!

Ive been coming here for a few years, and the quality of all the festival food has really dropped. The clam chowder used to be amazing, and now its pretty bad (at least the last few times I went). The apples have been very minimal in selection, and not as good. Perhaps due to a bad season the last year I went. The hamburgers are still delicious, but their roasted corn is hardly roasted since its so popular. They try to keep up with the demand by just bare minimum cooking it. The cider donuts are always amazing, as is the orange juice and apple cider. This place has been making many changes, including a brand new red Barn that serves as their store now. Looks good, but I wish they kept up with the quality of their festival as well.

My husband and I work long days and this is our go to restaurant! The food is exceptional and healthy! The staff is sunny and bright and well informed about all meal items. I love the seasonal changes regarding farm to table. Chef and cooking staff take tremendous pride in their culinary creations! Dana is a well informed about the orchards and takes great care of her guests - as does all the team members! You will not be disappointed with the atmosphere and dinning! Love love love it! Oh and their apple pies a supper great!

I ordered asparagus, picked up and paid (expensive), trusting that my special order would be treated with care and respect. HA. When I got home I found that the old overweight woman behind the register gave me MULTIPLE 1.5" diameter stalks (hidden in the bag). They looked like the tops of Christmas trees. I will never be back (their loss as I am Vegetarian). Do not trust these dishonest merchants.

Went here last fall and definitely plan on going back this fall! Its huge, well maintained, and fun. Lots of activity and things to see. The store is awesome. One thing we planned on doing was visiting their cafe, but the wait was so long, they told us we wouldnt get seated before closing time. That was disappointing, but just means we have to go earlier next time.

Kids love it here including their ice cream. We go there for strawberry picking often. Absolutely delicious! The new and improved farm is impressive to say the least. Some reviews say the staff were rude but weve never ran into an issue. I guess people will have their off days like anywhere else. Overall a great place to spend time with the family!

We had a very unpleasant time at this orchard picking apples. We were yelled at like animals multiple times, lectured on how to pick fruit, and publicly berated by condescending staff. And $20 for a tiny bag of about 10 apples is ridiculous. Feels like this place is run by ruthless penny-pinchers. I recommend going to a different pick-your-own orchard.
