We had a fantastic dinner experience here. The manager told me that "goong" means "palace" in Korean, and the decor definitely reflects it in a modern and sophisticated way, with high quality tables, chairs, and dedicated air ventilators at each table. The dining space is large and open, with high ceilings, but doesnt feel like a banquet room. This is a place you can take your parents, a night out with friends, or family dinner with the kids. I believe the owners also own the popular Oyshi and Soyo restaurants. Now, on to the important stuff--the food! We were a large group (6 adults and 4 kids). We ordered one of the larger beef and pork platters, a large spicy stew, and a couple dduk soups for the kids. The meat was definitely high quality and it was a nice touch to see the area in the back where the meat was cut and prepared (the kids definitely got a kick out of that). The staff was attentive and cooked all the meats for us at our table to ensure it was to our liking. The meats are not heavily marinated, which other places do to hide the less-than-stellar quality of the meats. Goong provides a few dipping sauces, which are perfect to add the right amount of flavor. Another nice touch is that the grills are changed out regularly, and different types are used depending on the type of meat being cooked. Very few restaurants go to those lengths. The side dishes complemented all the meats well, and they tasted fresh. I particularly liked the cool, vinegary radish with my meats. Overall, I definitely recommend this place -- great service, clean/cool atmosphere and, most importantly a kick-ass meal!

We just finished eating at Goong for the first time, and it certainly will not be our last visit there. The atmosphere is very low key and the staff are very attentive. We had one of the large combinations, beef and pork, and they served each of us a bowl of rice, and a bowl of marinated onions. We had 13 other side servings (I believe it was 13...it was a ton of food), along with our beef and pork. The cost for the entire thing was $85. That served 4-5 people, and yes, it was a great value and a ton of delicious food. The server grills your meat right at the table, and sets it to the side of the gill when it is done. Everything was top notch. And the staff couldnt have been more hospitable and attentive. You do have the option of sitting in a traditional booth, or removing your shoes and sitting on pillows on the floor. We chose the traditional booth setting. They serve Bori Cha (a traditional barely tea) so we didnt opt for anything else to drink. They also end the meal with a delicious cinnamon tea. There was no rush to our experience...everything was low key and considerate. We highly recommend Goong.

Other reviews describe this as higher-end Korean BBQ, and perhaps if you consider they do the cooking for you and have higher-end meat choices. But that should not deter you from having a wonderful time, even dressed casually, with kids. In fact it was full of families when we were there. And seriously, I used to revel in the DIY cooking experience, but how many times did you screw it up? Having them cook was efficient, correct and truly not that intrusive. There is a flow to the restaurant as wait staff roam freely about, keeping meat turned on gas grills, drinks full and customers happy. Choose the middle section if you can - best tables. Try some higher-end meat if your budget allows, as there is nothing like tasting butter-like rib eye over mediocre sirloin. Waygu options too. And remember, with all the typical Korean small dishes, youll not go hungry.

Really loved the fact that it was cozy, yet had a modern touch. The time that we went it was nice and quiet which was relaxing. We were sat in the horigotatsu area which has a cavity in the floor to stretch out your legs. Service was very attentive and the server explained the menu pretty thoroughly. We decided with the beef platter which was a bit too much for just two people, but is probably fitting for three. The quality of the meat was great and the variety of banchan was amazing! Must try out the kimchi fried rice here! I would just come for that, the flavor was so good and was cooked perfectly. So if you dont want to make the drive down to China Town for kbbq this is the place to be

Quality of food delicious, meats tender and tasty especially Wagyu. Side dishes all very good as well. Nice, new and clean inside, simple decor, not loud or flashy. Prices very reasonable but portions small. Dont expect all you can eat. We ordered the Beef and Pork Combination listed for 4-5 ppl and it fed 3 of us. Some of the beef was only 4 pieces of meat. Not sure how that would feed 4-5 ppl. Nonetheless very good experience, wait staff courteous and helped with cooking, changed hot plate 3 times.

Best Korean BBQ in town! Ever since we tried Goong Korean we never go to other Korean restaurant. The food is great, the service is the best and the price is just right. I recommended this place to my friends and co-workers and they all loved it. We come here a lot and our favorite server is JIHOON. He remembers our usual order and our favorite side dishes. I want to let him know how much we appreciate him. If youre looking for best Korean BBQ, this is the place!

My husband and I ate here a couple of days ago, and we were beyond impressed. Weve never eaten Korean food before - the manager must have noticed we were struggling with the menu, because he came over and explained everything to us. Everyone was helpful, professional and knowledgeable. The bbq meats came with so many sides, the value here is outstanding. Taste was great, we had so much fun and will absolutely be back!

Amazing ambiance and great wait staff. I came here with friends that lived in Korea and they loved it too. Had the combination meat option for 4-5 people. There were 4 of us and we left completely stuffed. They have very good bon chon which are the sides that go with the bbq. My new favorite Korean joint!

Legit korean food in Vegas. Better than Hobak? Maybe the best korean food in Nevada. Related to Soya. Had I known this, would have come and tried Goong earlier. Ban chan authentic. Time to teach vegas that ayce is trash and that the Korean culture is more than sloppily marinated grade C meat

This is a more formal Korean bbq restaurant than we are used too. The ambiance was quite serious and not as casual as we would like. The food was delicious though. Meats were good. Felt the meat portions were a bit on the smaller side. The Mochi is not good for dessert, it felt undercooked.

Enjoyed the food and service. Loved the sides especially the veggies. I was glad to eat a Lil meat. Im pregnant so food adversion has been rough but having a good choice selection of sides, I was able to pick and choose. Our party was about 10 people and the servers were able to keep up.

Menu had a good variety of authentic Korean food. We tried the combination Beef platter, it would be perfect for 3 people, or 4 if everyone is not too hungry. The food and all the sides tasted great. Main concern was the prices, definitely overpriced a tad.
